My Disciples Grind, I Get 100x Their Progress
Chapter 129: Moving out of this world
The news that Julian had disappeared, and had still not been found to this day, reached Aveela’s ears. In response, Aveela did not waste even a moment.
On the very day she learned that Julian was missing, she returned to the Safe Zone at once.
Her return was done in secret, of course. But the great families and a few people from the elite region naturally knew of the news, giving clear verification of the relationship between Aveela and Julian.
Besides that, Aveela did not return alone. She was dragging a very beautiful woman along with her.
"Hey~ hey~ Aveela! So, is this Julian your boyfriend or what? You look so different! And yet you never used to care about romance."
She was an extremely talkative woman.
A woman with dark black hair and beautiful pink eyes. Her black hair framed her face perfectly, falling long enough to reach her waist, which was so slender.
"But, I heard from Killac that he’s actually very strong, so why are you worried? Won’t he come back in the end?"
That woman was one of the seven legends of humanity, one of those who had managed to reach Rank-A by pouring their entire lives into nothing but hunting for rank progress and improving their skills.
Her name was Calcarea Lizana.
While Calcarea was busy with her own words, going on and on about this relationship and that one, Aveela was sunk in her thoughts, full of worry.
Julian was very strong?
She suddenly recalled what Julian had told her, about how he was misunderstood here and there until it created ridiculous situations.
Even though his talent was real, it could not be denied that Julian, as he was now, was not a strong person capable of surviving alone in the Abandoned Territory.
’I should have put a tracker on his body.’
Aveela suddenly felt deep regret, even fear that something bad might happen.
That was also the reason she had dragged Calcarea here with her.
Sighing with worry, Aveela dragged Calcarea into a closed room where only a few people could be seen, those permitted to be present.
Those present were Lurker and a representative of each of the great families, who could attend if they wished and could also stay away if they did not, while the rest were several important figures with considerable influence and the two Disciples believed to be Julian’s.
Most of them were allowed to come and were considered no problem as long as they did not cause a commotion.
The moment Aveela and Calcarea stepped inside, the room instantly fell silent as every gaze turned to the two legends.
For a moment, Aveela looked at Julian’s Disciples, then she looked at Kina Mivelo, who was in conflict with her own family.
Seeing that girl for a moment left Aveela somewhat confused because of the strange atmosphere around her, and the same went for Ilunia across from her.
However, Aveela did not think much of it, since it might well be connected to Julian’s disappearance. After all, Julian’s existence had indirectly made a great impact on those girls.
After a few moments, Aveela paid no attention to the others. She ignored them all, something she had always done.
She walked toward the table in the center, then glanced at Calcarea.
"Do it now."
"Aiss, why are you in such a rush? Look, there are lots of familiar faces, and even cute girls. You’re too tense, Aveela."
Aveela stared sharply at Calcarea as Calcarea spoke with the intention of easing Aveela’s tension.
Seeing that, Calcarea coughed and forced an awkward smile while looking away.
"So mean."
Sadly, she took out an artifact, something only Calcarea possessed, something she had obtained after once killing a Rank-A Invader and seizing the artifact from it.
It was a fairly large mirror, round in shape, wrapped in a thin cloth at its edge.
The reason Aveela had dragged Calcarea here was, of course, that when it came to searching for something, Calcarea was the most reliable.
A woman who owned an artifact suited for exactly that.
And because Aveela understood the truth about Julian, that he was not the strong person others thought he was, that was the reason Aveela was so tense and felt so rushed.
"Alright, could you all give me something that this Lord Julian always wears?"
Although Calcarea had never met Julian, seeing the rumors and how Killac and Aveela treated him, she naturally decided to be polite and respectful toward him.
With a sweet smile on her face, she soon received several pieces of clothing said to be what Julian always wore.
That was enough.
With that, Calcarea wasted no more time. Not when Aveela was looking at her as if asking her to hurry.
’Aveela wasn’t like this before. Sniff.’
She calmed her deep sadness, then began circulating her Mana through the mirror.
In the next moment, the mirror gave off a beautiful midnight-blue glow, and the light reflected the room’s ceiling and even formed thousands of tiny stars that twinkled.
Everyone in the room was awed by what they saw.
Of course, it was a wonder that came from a different civilization.
After that, Calcarea continued.
Her eyes were closed as she touched Julian’s clothes and focused her mind.
"Please show me... Where is the owner of these clothes at this very moment?"
At first there was nothing, but in the next moment the midnight-blue light grew more vivid, along with the stars that seemed to drift in a river moving incredibly fast.
The stars kept changing, shifting without pause at a stunning speed. Then, on the mirror, the reflection of the ceiling of the room where they were began to move.
It slowly shifted.
Usually, it would move as if tracing the world itself, but something different happened this time.
The mirror did not move to trace the world. It moved upward into the sky, far up into the sky until it pierced through the clouds.
That was something that made Calcarea frown. She could feel her Mana slowly being drained along with the movement of the mirror’s reflection, and even the great families, who had occasionally seen how the power of that mirror worked, now looked confused.
The same went for Aveela herself.
The reflection in the mirror... It was moving out of this world.
