My Child and I Married a Billionaire

Chapter 450: He's the Scumbag?

With that, the reporter stepped aside to make a call.

The two brothers and Tim Tate’s family all gathered around Faye Fisher.

“What’s going on? Why aren’t we going in yet? What did that reporter say to you? Is the Walton Family so powerful that even the TV station doesn’t dare to cross them?”

Before Faye Fisher could even open her mouth to reply, the main gate of the Walton Villa up ahead slowly swung open.

The security captain had seen a group of people standing in front of the villa on the surveillance monitor, muttering amongst themselves and plotting something. Out of a sense of duty, he came out with several guards.

Faye Fisher’s eyes narrowed. She turned to the cameraman beside her.

“Here’s our footage! Quick, turn on the camera!”

From a distance, the security captain raised his electric baton and yelled at them.

“What do you think you’re doing? What’s all this? Who are you people? What do you want? What are you all doing at our gate so early in the morning?”

“Hey, what’s that in your hand? Is that a camera? Are you filming me? Are you nuts? Who gave you permission to film? What are you trying to pull? Delete it right now! Put that camera away!”

By the time he finished speaking, he had reached them.

The security captain made a beeline for the cameraman, trying to snatch the camera.

It was a classic opening for a conflict on a legal affairs show. The cameraman was ecstatic; it looked like he was going to get some viral news footage today.

There was no way he was letting them take his camera. He kept filming as he backed away.

His colleagues, all used to this kind of scene, saw what was happening and quickly moved to block the captain.

They shielded the cameraman while trying to reason with the security captain.

“We mean no harm. We just want to conduct an interview. Is Mr. Walton home? Could we ask him to come out for a brief statement?”

The security captain realized he was in trouble.

These people were actually from a TV station, setting up cameras to interview his employer?

He’d worked for the Walton Family for so many years and had never encountered anything like this.

If it were a positive interview, they would have been invited to the station for a taping. This kind of ambush at the gate was definitely not a good thing. What would happen if the master, the madam, and the young master found out?

His eyes widened as he glared at his men.

“What are you all standing around for? Grab that camera!”

“Who the hell gave you permission to film? Stop it! No more filming! You film one more second, and I’ll smash your camera to pieces, believe it or not!”

His men also realized they had failed in their duties. The moment their captain’s voice fell, they swarmed forward to grab the camera.

Acting on professional instinct, the TV crew began to shove back.

When the two brothers and Tim Tate saw the guards daring to push around even the TV crew, they immediately jumped in to help protect the camera.

More than twenty people, most of them strong young men, devolved into a noisy, chaotic scrum. The scene was utter mayhem.

This was exactly the effect Faye Fisher wanted.

She stood outside the crowd, watching everything with a cool detachment. ‘Soon,’ she thought, ‘I’ll get to see this scumbag’s true face.’

Inside the villa, Zeke Walton had been at home keeping his mother company for over a day.

When he wasn’t with her, his mother would complain about being bored and accuse him of not being a filial son.

But when he actually did clear his schedule to stay home and focus entirely on her, they were both bored out of their minds.

His mother would wake up whenever she pleased, eat a beautifying breakfast, and then have people over for facials, hairstyling, manicures, and body treatments.

He would just sit there like an idiot, watching his mother interact with her various beauty technicians, thoroughly disgusted.

He had endured it for a whole day yesterday, but today, he refused to stay any longer.

After getting out of bed, he didn’t even bother with breakfast and just made a run for it.

He hadn’t expected to drive up to the gate and be greeted by such a chaotic scene.

His entire security team was locked in a fierce brawl with a group of strangers about a hundred or two hundred meters from the gate.

‘What in the world is going on?’

In all his years, he had never seen such a ridiculous scene right at his own doorstep.

Zeke Walton drove the car out, stopped in front of the crowd, and laid on the horn.

“BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!”

At the sound, the crowd gradually stopped what they were doing and turned to look at him.

Zeke Walton, looking sharp in a crisp white shirt and black trousers, got out of the car.

Leaning against the car, wearing sunglasses, he cut a dashing yet displeased figure as he surveyed the crowd.

“What’s all this? Putting on a show for me this early in the morning?”

When the security captain saw Zeke Walton, his face went pale with fright. He hastily pushed aside the person in front of him and ran over.

“I’m sorry, Young Master. I’ve been incompetent, but I’m handling it.”

“I don’t know what’s gotten into the TV station, but they suddenly brought a whole crew here, saying they want to interview you and the Madam. I tried to reason with them, but they wouldn’t leave, so I had to… I had to…”

‘Young Master?’

‘A prominent family in Veridia? One that’s friends with the Vaughn Family?’

So *this* Walton Family was *Zeke Walton’s* Walton Family.

So the scumbag everyone had been cursing, Amina’s ex-boyfriend, was Zeke Walton.

Faye Fisher’s mind went blank. She stared in disbelief at Zeke Walton’s familiar face.

‘How could it be so absurd? The scumbag she’d spent so long investigating, the one she was meticulously planning to take revenge on, was him!’

Zeke Walton ignored the security captain. With a casual motion, he hooked his sunglasses off his nose.

He saw Amina’s two brothers, as well as Tim Tate and his parents. He could already guess what was going on.

‘These good-for-nothing idiots. They actually dared to cause a scene at my doorstep, and even called reporters?’

He wanted to laugh, but then his gaze shifted and he saw Faye Fisher standing off to the side.

Now *that* was puzzling.

‘Why would Faye Fisher be here with them?’

Their eyes met, and both of their expressions were filled with confusion.

Zeke Walton was the first to move, walking toward Faye Fisher.

“Why are you here? Did you come looking for me? Are you alone? Did something happen? What made you come all the way here to find me? Why didn’t you call? You weren’t scared, were you? How did you end up with them?”

Faye Fisher looked at Zeke Walton, his expression once again gentle, and her mind raced. Her mouth opened and closed, but no words came out.

“I… Zeke Walton, do you know Amina?”

Zeke Walton grew even more confused. He looked Faye Fisher up and down.

“You know her too?”

As they were speaking, Amina’s oldest brother pushed the cameraman forward until they were right in front of Zeke Walton.

The camera was practically shoved in his face as the brother yelled.

“Quick, quick, get a shot of him! That’s him! That’s the scumbag! He used my sister, tossed her aside when he was done, and then framed us for all sorts of things! He nearly ruined our lives! He’s a terrible person, get it all on camera!”

Zeke Walton’s face darkened in an instant. He looked up at the camera without flinching.

“What the hell is going on? What are you doing here? Where’s Amina? Did something happen to her? Why isn’t she here? What the fuck did you do to her?!”

“He’s cursing! Did you hear that? He’s cursing! He’s always this vicious! This is how he treated my sister! Quick, quick, get it on camera!”

The cameraman focused intently on filming Zeke Walton, but Zeke, his face a mask of fury, suddenly grabbed the older brother standing beside him.

He viciously grabbed him by the collar.

“I’m fucking asking you a question! Talk! What happened? Where’s Amina? What’s wrong with her? Did something happen to her? Talk!”
