Her action of serving him food made Noah Drexler pause for a moment, and then her gentle voice echoed.

"This fish is delicious, just be careful of the small bones, give it a try."

He lowered his eyes and saw her looking at him with concern.

He couldn’t help but frown.

"Summer Shawcross, there’s no need to feel guilty!" he said to her in a low voice, then picked up his chopsticks and began to remove the bones from the fish in his bowl.

"You don’t owe me anything!"

She didn’t have to feel guilty about the misunderstanding she had about him before!

He was her man, her husband, the head of their family; he must protect her!

After hearing Noah’s words, Summer Shawcross paused for a moment, not quite understanding what he meant, until she saw the piece of fish in his bowl and then realized.

"Noah Drexler, was I really bad to you before?" she bit her lip and couldn’t help but ask him.

Was she really so bad to him before that now, when she served him a piece of fish, he thought it was out of guilt.

Thinking about this, she couldn’t help but sigh.

He’s just too guarded, and using others’ words to describe him, he’s just too closed off with his feelings.

So when others treat him well, he always thinks there’s an ulterior motive.

How could a man like him be so deeply in love with her?

Summer suddenly felt it was unbelievable because she still couldn’t figure out how Noah saw her in the first place—was it love at first sight, which is why he used debt as an excuse to marry her?

After Summer finished speaking, Noah raised his eyes and glanced at her, suddenly asking her back.

"Isn’t it?"

Does she really think she’s always been good to him?

"Of course not!" she bit her lip, about to argue for herself, when Noah’s calm yet displeased voice continued.

"Last time you gave me a wallet, the next day you ran off with someone."

He looked at her, sneering, with a few more traces of displeasure on his handsome face.

He still couldn’t forget, that night after she suddenly gave him a handmade wallet, the next day she turned around and ran off with someone surnamed Shang!

"Wasn’t there a reason for that? Who told you to promise Mr. Long to hold a wedding!" Summer gritted her teeth, rebuffing with dissatisfaction.

Seeing her past stubbornness, Noah pressed his thin lips together slightly, then calmly continued.

"On the night of the wedding, you said you wanted to drink a nuptial cup with me, then I slept for a day and a night! You ran away!"

"..." Summer’s throat blocked up, she suddenly felt like she was going to cough up blood!

She didn’t expect him to bring up those past trivial matters again...

It seemed that her runaway wedding was a hurdle she could never get over in this life!

Seeing her expression change, a smug look flashed in the man’s eyes, then he pressed his thin lips and continued to ask her.

"Do you want me to continue?"

Over the past two years, there have been numerous examples; he could easily come up with several!

"No need..." Summer’s face showed some guilty expression, she lowered her head in some dissatisfaction and quietly ate, deciding not to continue the conversation with him.

Who knows if he’ll bring up more old stories, after all, she did plenty of reckless things before.

Just when she lowered her head, silently eating two pieces of green vegetables, the man’s chopsticks suddenly landed in her bowl.
