Chapter 727: Noah Drexler Won’t Let Him Off

Given this, she couldn’t understand why so many girls are so concerned about whether the passenger seat next to their boyfriend or husband is theirs.

After a brief moment of hesitation, Summer Shawcross turned around smoothly and got into the back seat, then sat obediently.

Compared to insisting on the passenger seat, she thought her life was more precious!

What’s so good about that seat!

As he watched her extra-sweet demeanor, Noah Drexler’s eyes flickered, somewhat charmed by her earlier behavior.

A moment later, he satisfiedly raised his hand to close the car door, then turned around and got into the driver’s seat.

...

By the time the car arrived at the restaurant Summer had reserved, the sky had already darkened, and the streetlights in Narsus City were all aglow.

The restaurant was located by the river, arguably the best riverside restaurant in Narsus City.

After getting out of the car, the two of them entered the restaurant together. Summer provided the name under which she had made the reservation, and they were soon led by a waiter to the best-view room on the second floor.

"Please come in. The dishes you ordered will be served shortly," the waiter said politely to them as he opened the private room door.

Summer nodded, and the waiter turned and left.

Just as Summer was pushing the room door open to go inside, Noah Drexler’s phone suddenly vibrated.

He took out his phone and glanced at the screen.

Summer also happened to see the screen.

It was Sean Morgan calling.

No need to guess, that workaholic must be calling to report work to Noah Drexler.

Noah didn’t immediately take the call but bent down to whisper in her ear.

"You go in first, I’ll take this call."

"Alright, go ahead." Hearing this, Summer nodded and agreed, and only then did Noah turn and leave with large strides.

Watching his departing figure, Summer couldn’t help but feel a little surprised.

He used to take calls right next to her, rarely like now, needing to avoid her to take a call.

What exactly was Sean reporting to Noah that required him to be so secretive...

Just as Summer stood amazed at the door and sighed lightly, about to step into the room,

Suddenly, a set of footsteps echoed through the corridor on the restaurant’s second floor.

"Dustin, wait for me!" A girl’s soft voice suddenly came from somewhere along the corridor.

Upon hearing this, Summer’s body stiffened, and her grip on the door handle suddenly tightened.

The next second, she swiftly turned her head, looking in surprise and caution towards the direction of the corridor.

But... the corridor where the girl’s voice and footsteps had just come from was now empty.

Summer’s expression faltered; how could there be no one?

Was she just hallucinating, or overthinking...

It must be just a coincidence of the same name.

Since Dustin tried to kidnap her last time but got hurt by her instead, he vanished without a trace, never appearing again.

Even the company he founded single-handedly went bankrupt after she was kidnapped and injured by Melanie Trueman, and sent to Silvanus Manor in Lyra by Noah Drexler.

Now that the Drexler Family had also been entrusted to her by Old Master Drexler, Dustin had even less chance to rise again. If he were still lurking in Narsus City, Noah Drexler would never let him go.
