Mr. Law's Official Announcement: He is a Wife-Doting Fanatic!
Chapter 619: Cecilia Vaughn, You’re Too Ruthless!
Old Mrs. Trent was still conscious. Because her mouth was taped, she could only make muffled cries.
She glared at Cecilia Vaughn with eyes full of hatred, as if she wanted to gouge two holes in Cecilia’s face with her stare.
Cecilia, however, was not afraid in the slightest. She coldly released the hold on Old Mrs. Trent’s collar and threw her to the ground.
"Why are you looking at me like that? Shouldn’t you be grateful? Since you love your cheap son Reginald Trent so much, wouldn’t it be nice to join him sooner?"
...
How could Old Mrs. Trent be happy about that!
She had realized what Cecilia meant.
This woman actually wanted her dead!
Over the years, she had often wished she could peel Cecilia’s skin and muscle from her bones to bury with her son. But Old Mrs. Trent was undoubtedly very afraid to die.
She didn’t want to die!
...
"Mmm mmm mmm!!! You! ..."
Old Mrs. Trent, hindered by the tape over her mouth, couldn’t utter a complete sentence.
Seeing Old Mrs. Trent’s gaze, Adrian Law felt an extreme loathing.
"Cecilia, you don’t need to waste your breath on a venomous woman like this. Just send her to see her son directly."
With that, Adrian Law coldly took the Zarthan Falcon from Wyatt Law’s hand, pointing the dark barrel at Old Mrs. Trent. The feeling of impending execution was enough to shatter a person’s sanity.
Old Mrs. Trent had witnessed bloodshed herself, but committing murder was one thing, and being killed was another.
Terrified, she could only thrash her limbs helplessly.
But suddenly, Cecilia intervened, stopping Adrian.
"Wait a moment..."
Hearing the girl’s gentle voice, the man frowned, looking at Cecilia with some confusion.
"Cecilia, don’t you want her to..."
Cecilia understood Adrian’s implication, but she shook her head.
"Don’t you think dying like this is too easy for her?"
Felix Lockwood, standing nearby, shuddered at the words.
Good heavens...
A bullet to the head, isn’t that painful enough?
Felix knew how accurate his brother’s shooting was, but from what Cecilia said, she clearly intended something even more terrifying.
Although there was deep-seated enmity between both sides, dear sister-in-law...
Hmm... better not provoke her.
Felix sneaked a glance at Zion Prescott, only to see Zion absentmindedly gazing out the window, completely uninterested in the undercurrents inside the room. Zion’s face was calm, lost in thought, with his mind probably soaring far away.
...
Felix felt a pang of sympathy, realizing that Zion probably didn’t care about Cecilia’s ruthless methods.
Felix was the epitome of masculinity. He himself wasn’t exactly innocent, but felt that girls should be gentle and sweet.
Someone like Cecilia...
Uh, better keep a distance.
Luckily, she was his sister-in-law, not an enemy.
Felix criticized Cecilia in his heart for her ruthlessness, pondering what she planned to do with the old hag. But then he heard Cecilia’s light voice inside the room.
"Adrian, do you see that red coffin in the room?"
"Inside it lies Reginald Trent’s remains."
...
"Three years, and they still haven’t been buried?!"
Felix was stunned.
When Adrian saw Cecilia in her red wedding dress earlier, he already had a suspicion.
"Cecilia, they want you to have a ghost marriage with that bastard?"
"More than that!"
Cecilia sneered. When she looked at the red coffin now, her mind felt a chill. Thankfully Adrian was there, providing warmth and reassurance.
Recalling that horror and creepy atmosphere was enough to make her feel cold.
"They wanted to bury me alive in the coffin alongside Reginald Trent!"
"!!!"
Felix gasped, evidently not expecting the Trent Family’s old woman to be even more vicious than he had believed.
Wanting Cecilia dead is one thing.
But this method was too...
Even Zion, who until then remained detached, furrowed his brow, surprised as he glanced at the red coffin in the room’s center.
Leaving it unburied for three years, the Trent Family’s old matriarch was truly insane.
...
Adrian’s rationality was almost gone. Although Cecilia stood good and well before him, he couldn’t stay calm.
"Wyatt! Tie that woman to the coffin now!"
"Bury it on this mountain, as deep as possible!"
Adrian’s eyes burned a fiery red, and even Felix withdrew silently in fear.
Adrian’s voice was firm, stirring waves of tension in the already quiet room.
Old Mrs. Trent couldn’t have imagined Adrian’s ruthlessness. Faced with the thought, a bullet seemed almost merciful.
Even though the idea was initially hers for Cecilia.
But now, it was her turn to be buried!
It simply wasn’t the same!
...
Old Mrs. Trent wailed in despair, and a foul odor spread through the room at once.
The old woman had been scared into wetting herself.
Adrian frowned deeply, pulling Cecilia into his arms, looking at her unfinished ghost marriage attire. No matter how exquisite, he loathed it.
"Cecilia, are you okay?"
Adrian had already thoroughly checked Cecilia’s condition earlier.
But seeing her before him now, his heart ached painfully.
If only he had come sooner.
No, if he hadn’t prioritized the contract and attended the international video conference, accompanying Cecilia to see Evan at school, maybe this tragedy wouldn’t have happened.
Seeing him nervous to the point his fingertips trembled slightly, Cecilia felt a sweetness in her heart.
She hugged Adrian’s arm affectionately, paying no mind to the ominous atmosphere inside.
"Adrian, I’m fine. Don’t frighten yourself. It’s not your fault. Don’t blame yourself."
Seeing his worried furrowed brow, Cecilia knew Adrian regretted not protecting her well enough.
But it wasn’t Adrian’s fault.
She was a living person. It’s impossible to have bodyguards with her twenty-four hours a day. Even if it were possible, Cecilia felt it would restrict her freedom.
Everything Adrian did was more than enough.
...
Despite assurances of his wife’s safety, the frost in Adrian’s brow did not thaw.
His demeanor was dark as he ordered his subordinates to put the old woman into the red coffin.
Ten minutes later.
The coffin was sealed and interred.
The moonlight was bleak, and the sobs of Old Mrs. Trent might yet echo in the air for a long time...
