Daxton Lancaster turned his phoenix eyes towards Violet Zimmerman, a clear coldness in his gaze.

"The business I connected your family’s company with previously, as long as they don’t mess it up, it’s enough to sustain them for a decade or so."

Daxton Lancaster didn’t directly respond to Violet Zimmerman, but he subtly conveyed that he wouldn’t help in the future.

Violet Zimmerman let out an ’oh’, as long as Daxton Lancaster wasn’t deliberately making things difficult, she felt relieved.

Before she got married, her family’s company operated normally, but with Daxton Lancaster’s help over the past year, the development was faster than before.

After feeding Robert, the couple went together to the old master’s place for dinner.

Ever since the second branch stopped coming over for meals, the old master was sullen.

A man in his sixties, who had worked hard for half his life, just wanted the family to be harmonious, but didn’t expect that in his later years, the two branches divided the family, and now, even cooking is done separately.

Now, whenever the main branch comes to eat with the old master, they no longer sit separately as seniors and juniors; the whole family sits at the same dining table.

The old master, sitting in the main seat, put down his chopsticks after eating only a little, and waited until the family had almost finished eating before speaking.

"Violet, there’s something grandpa wants to ask you, I wonder if you can agree to it."

"Grandpa, please don’t say it like that. If you say it like that, it shortens my life. Just tell me whatever it is, and as long as it’s within my ability, I’ll agree to it."

Violet Zimmerman hastily stood up; the old master, at such an age, actually said the word "ask" to her, she couldn’t bear it.

"Violet, sit down." The old master raised his hand slightly to indicate.

The family, having heard the old master speak this way, already guessed what it was about, and sat properly at the dining table, waiting for him to continue.

Violet Zimmerman also sat down, looking nervously at the old master.

Daxton Lancaster leaned back in his chair with his hands clasped, his face showing no extra expression.

"Violet, our Lancaster family has been living in this courtyard for several generations, and the houses have been rebuilt several times. The Lancaster Family is a large family, with many people; several generations have lived and eaten together, and though there have been quarrels, they have never split apart."

At this point, the old master sighed.

And Violet Zimmerman also understood the old master’s intention. Before he could continue, she lowered her head and admitted her mistake.

"Grandpa, I’m sorry, that day I... shouldn’t have been so impulsive. I know you always hope for the Lancaster Family to be harmonious, it’s all my fault. After the meal, I’ll apologize to the second mother; we are one family, and should live and eat together."

After Violet Zimmerman finished speaking, Joseph Lancaster sitting on the side clearly frowned. As the Lady of the house apologizing to the second branch, caught by Eva Hayes, might lead to them becoming more arrogant in the future.

In front of the old master and the phoenix parents, Joseph Lancaster couldn’t directly speak up, but he thought to himself that he would remind his older brother and sister-in-law later, to not set this precedent for the second branch.

However, before Joseph Lancaster could remind them, Daxton Lancaster spoke first. He took a breath and said lightly, "Grandpa, Violet and I can agree to your request, but Violet can’t go over personally. You know the nature of the second mother. If Violet goes personally, I’m afraid they will keep using this matter as an excuse in the future.

Violet is the Lancaster Family’s Lady, she needs to establish her prestige. I’ll ask Uncle Xiang to pass the message that you want the family to be harmonious, and out of respect for you, Violet had to agree."

"Daxton, as long as our family is harmonious, you can handle it whichever way!" The old master waved his hand.

"Eldest, Dad knows the second branch is no good, but since we are a family, we need to bear with it. Dad is old, and I won’t live for many more years. Once I’m gone, how you decide then is up to you, I won’t see it anyway."

"Dad, please don’t say such disheartening words."

"Yes, Grandpa, may you live a long life..."

...

Violet Zimmerman returned to her maiden home without a word, unbeknownst to her in-laws.

Because she disliked Lucy Zimmerman, Lorelei Howard didn’t go to see her grandson all day. Until she found out that morning that Lucy Zimmerman had been sent away, she went to her son’s place after breakfast.

In the living room, Lorelei Howard played with her chubby grandson, saying as she did, "Daxton, Violet, once Robert is weaned, you two should have another child, while I’m still young enough to help you with the kids."

Violet Zimmerman instinctively turned to look at Daxton Lancaster.

Daxton Lancaster had already changed into formal attire, carrying his briefcase and about to head to the company. He didn’t show any sign of discomfort upon hearing his mother’s words, and with a smile, he replied, "Mom, Robert just reached a month old, and you’re already thinking of having Violet have another one. Isn’t it a bit too soon to discuss this now?"
