Miss Witch, It's Time to Clean the Entries
Chapter 122 - 106: Pandora’s Magic Box
Chapter 122: Chapter 106: Pandora’s Magic Box
Under the cover of night, Lian returned alone to the temporary encampment outside the High Wall of Blue Moon Territory, bringing everyone news that was neither good nor bad.
The Disease Witch Dora was dead, and Blue Moon Territory could now be thoroughly cleansed.
The people from the Church Court were very satisfied with this. Catherine, still unconscious, knew nothing of it.
When Catherine awoke in her tent and saw Dora’s familiar face, the two friends embraced and wept.
"Catherine, you can’t call me Dora anymore. Lord Lian gave me a new name."
Dora said excitedly. Just the thought of having a brand-new identity and being able to live freely made her feel like a long-caged bird. Her eyes overflowed with the joy of finally being able to spread her wings and fly.
"What name?"
Catherine asked in surprise.
"Lord Lian said my name reminded him of a story from his hometown about Pandora’s Box."
Dora said seriously.
Catherine asked in astonishment, "So he renamed you Pandora?"
"No, Magic Box."
Dora replied earnestly.
Catherine’s mouth fell open again.
’Magic Box? Is that really a person’s name? Why does it sound so strange?’
"In any case, it’s so good that you’re still alive."
Catherine said.
"Yes, with Lord Lian’s help, I can control my Magic Power now. As long as I stay by his side forever, I’ll never have to worry about losing control."
Dora pulled Catherine into a spin. "He also let me experience a pleasure I’ve never felt before. I feel like my whole body has been opened up."
"AHEM."
Lian coughed twice, interrupting their conversation as if no one else was around.
"Miss Magic Box, please don’t talk nonsense. I just helped you clear your Magic Power channels. That feeling of pleasure didn’t come from me; it was generated automatically by your body after it returned to normal."
To keep Catherine from getting the wrong idea, Lian felt it was necessary to explain. ’I really didn’t make a move on your best friend.’
Catherine’s eyes sparkled slightly, her thoughts unreadable.
"Thank you, Lord Lian."
Catherine said sincerely.
"Catherine, I’m your fiancé. You don’t need to use honorifics."
Lian didn’t want his fiancée to act so humble and cautious. He hoped Catherine could be more lively and spontaneous.
After all, she was his fiancée, not a Maid, nor a bodyguard or subordinate.
"Mm, Moria."
In this world, addressing someone directly by their surname was a sign of intimacy, but Lian wasn’t quite used to it. Hearing her call him Moria always made him feel like she was referring to that Old Deng who married 33 wives.
’I don’t even have one wife yet. I shouldn’t be called Moria.’
"Call me Lian."
Lian corrected her.
Catherine’s cheeks flushed slightly as she softly and gently called out Lian’s name.
Dora sulked on the side, suddenly catching the sickeningly sweet scent of love. She felt like she shouldn’t be here, interrupting them.
"Dearest Moria, could you leave us alone for a bit? Catherine and I haven’t seen each other in a long time, and I have so much I want to say to her."
Dora said.
"Of course, Miss Magic Box."
Lian rubbed the bridge of his nose, certain the Red-haired Witch was doing it on purpose.
’Dearest Moria... she said it with several times more intimacy than his own fiancée.’
Lian left the tent, shooting a look at Dora to remind her not to speak nonsense.
Dora stuck out her tongue, signaling that she understood.
After leaving the tent, Lian still didn’t trust Dora.
So, he stood a short distance away from the tent and used his superhuman hearing to eavesdrop on their conversation.
He was no gentleman who refused to eavesdrop; in fact, he quite enjoyed hearing what others said about him behind his back.
"Oh, Catherine, you’ve actually put on some weight since you left Blue Moon Territory. How surprising."
Dora exclaimed.
Catherine’s cheeks instantly turned crimson. Lian had been taking good care of her, the food in Green Shade Territory was excellent, and she had many people to keep her company. She was no longer as lonely as she had been living in the High Tower.
"Lian is very good to me, and we’re engaged. Well, we haven’t had the ceremony yet, but we’re already committed to each other. He will help me get my revenge, and I will love him with all my heart."
Catherine said.
"That doesn’t sound like real love. It sounds more like a transaction. Catherine, are you sure you actually like him?"
Dora pressed.
Lian’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed hard. He pricked up his ears, waiting for his fiancée’s answer.
Catherine’s voice sounded again. "I... I don’t know either."
Lian’s heart sank. ’Looks like just sleeping together isn’t enough to forge a passionate love after all,’ he thought.
"But... I miss him when I can’t see him, and I get nervous when I do. I feel both expectant and afraid. Does that count as liking him?"
Catherine asked.
Lian’s heart warmed up again. ’Who says sleeping together can’t forge a passionate love? Isn’t Catherine falling for me right now?’
"You’re in deep."
Dora sighed. "A pure, sheltered girl like you is easily deceived by a playboy. He’s a man from the Moria Clan. If you fall for him and marry him, all that awaits you are endless, lonely nights. The men of the Moria family always love the next woman."
’You little... Magic Box! I just saved you, and here you are, spreading rumors in front of my fiancée.’
Lian now desperately wanted to rush out and give Dora a few spanks on the behind to teach her what she should and shouldn’t say.
