Medical and Martial God
Chapter 790: Mo Luo’s Big Move
The battle in the croplands on the west side of Biluo Island was far more brutal than the one in the eastern forest. The area had become a massive battlefield.
When news of the Mutated Beasts broke, An Dongye was the first to arrive. By then, there were already over 10,000 of them.
But An Dongye was not deterred in the least. She charged in and started fighting alone.
Wherever her Leg Technique struck, one Mutated Beast after another was kicked to death.
Since obtaining the Strength Totem from Tu La, An Dongye’s power had reached the peak of the Seventh Realm. The Dongfang Family’s inherited Totem was already a Strength Totem, and with her natural aptitude for speed and violent attacks, she could unleash its power to the absolute fullest.
And that wasn’t all. While using her Leg Technique to annihilate the Mutated Beasts, her hands were not idle. In her grip, the Gun God’s sniper rifle had become a beast-slaying artifact.
Although the defense of the Mutated Beasts was astonishing, it was a far cry from the bronze skin and iron bones of a Fourth Realm War God. Sniper bullets could still threaten their lives, and An Dongye aimed exclusively for their eyes. Forget the Mutated Beasts—even an Eighth Grade War God like Bruce would die instantly if a sniper round hit him in the eye.
"Awesome!" An Dongye shouted, exhilarated by the slaughter despite facing over 10,000 Mutated Beasts. "I, the Night Goddess, haven’t had a fight this satisfying since the day I was born!"
Watching from a distance, the 200 Silver Cloth Assassins felt their scalps go numb. "Who is this girl? She’s unbelievably fierce!" "I feel like if you gave her enough time, she could wipe out the entire army of Mutated Beasts by herself." "We’d better get further away. If she spots us, we’re done for."
An Dongye’s prowess was enough to scare the 200 Silver Cloth Assassins into a full retreat. Just as they were about to pull back, they saw a large group of Martial Artists rushing toward the battlefield. Reinforcements had arrived.
"The sea ends where the sky forms the shore; at the end of Martial Arts, I am the peak!"
With the Pressure King’s classic opening line, Dong Fangbai elegantly leaped into the air. Mid-flight, he drew his sword and bellowed, "Whoever harms my junior sister dies!"
Before he could land, a massive tiger jumped up and kicked him out of the air with its two hind legs.
Among Ye Xiu’s group, Dong Fangbai was the weakest. He possessed a Third Stage Life Totem and a Second Stage Strength Totem, giving him the overall strength of a Fourth Realm War God.
"Damn it, Pressure King, are you okay?" Tang Bo shouted, rushing over to help him up. "How many times have I told you to be careful when you show off? Look at you now, you’ve pissed off this tiger so much it learned how to kick like a donkey!"
Dong Fangbai was speechless.
With the arrival of reinforcements, the pressure on An Dongye lessened dramatically. This was especially thanks to Tang Bo. Although his personal strength wasn’t impressive and he was growing increasingly unreliable, his use of the Earth System Totem was on another level entirely.
First, he raised earthen walls where the Mutated Beasts were spawning, creating a massive maze. The brainless beasts didn’t know they could just smash through the walls, so they wandered aimlessly through his labyrinth, sometimes even turning on each other in confusion. At the same time, Tang Bo would suddenly collapse the ground under densely packed groups of beasts, sending droves of them tumbling into deep pits. He also turned the soil into shifting sand, causing the creatures to get bogged down as if stuck in mud, severely slowing their movements. He even raised a forest of sharp earthen spikes from the ground, each one only a meter from the next. Human Martial Artists could easily weave between them, but the colossal Mutated Beasts couldn’t navigate the terrain and often tripped over the spikes.
Of course, Tang Bo’s most brilliant creation with his Earth System Totem was the several hundred dirt cannons he formed from the ground. Bizarrely, these cannons could actually fire head-sized shells made of packed earth. The power of these earthen shells wasn’t insignificant, either; they could knock over any Mutated Beast weaker than Tang Bo in a single shot.
The Silver Cloth Assassins were stunned by Tang Bo’s dazzling and unconventional tactics. "You can use the Earth System Totem like that?" "With that kind of creativity, he could teach a thing or two to the Earth System Totem Inheritors of the three Judicator Families and the Eternal Kingdom! His mind is on another level."
"Enjoying the show, gentlemen?"
A voice devoid of human emotion spoke from directly behind the 200 Silver Cloth Assassins. Every hair on their bodies stood on end in terror. Without even daring to look back and see who had spoken, they scattered and fled for their lives.
"Since my debut, no one has ever escaped from me."
Mo Luo drew his blade. After a few dazzling swings, all 200 of the fleeing Silver Cloth Assassins had been hacked into pieces.
Leng Yue remarked from nearby, "Mo Luo, you’ve started talking too much since you began following Dizang. You never used to say a word when you killed."
Mo Luo was instantly furious. Comparing him to that preening peacock, Dizang, was a grave insult.
"Is Tang Bo always this vulgar?" Leng Yue suddenly exclaimed.
Mo Luo looked over, confused, and his expression immediately turned strange. He saw that Tang Bo had formed giant scissors out of the earth and was using them to snip off the... particulars... of several male beasts.
What a character! He’s even more shameless than Dizang!
"Stop gawking. Let’s join the fight," Leng Yue said, drawing her Tiancong Cloud Sword as her killing intent flared, sharp enough to cut the air.
Mo Luo nodded, and the two of them prepared to charge into battle.
Suddenly, the water in a nearby fishpond began to churn violently. A soaking-wet man emerged and walked out, a smile on his face. "Why don’t you two skip the commotion on the battlefield? How about you play with me for a while instead?"
The pupils of Leng Yue and Mo Luo constricted. "Who are you?" Leng Yue asked.
"Yue Yinchuan," the drenched man replied.
The name sounded vaguely familiar to them.
After a moment’s thought, Leng Yue asked, "What is your relationship to Yue Jinchuan and Yue Longxuan?"
"Oh? You know my older brother and my nephew?" Yue Yinchuan replied playfully.
Leng Yue and Mo Luo didn’t answer. Instead, Mo Luo asked Leng Yue, "Should you kill him, or shall I?"
With a look of disgust, Leng Yue replied, "He’s too ugly. You do it."
"Fine," Mo Luo said, sighing with reluctance.
Yue Yinchuan was practically choking with rage. Listen to these two bastards! Are they even speaking a human language? I’m a dignified Seventh Realm War God, and they’re looking at me with disgust, passing the task of killing me back and forth like some chore? Am I that beneath them?
"You both must die!" Yue Yinchuan roared. In his fury, the water in the fishpond behind him rose into a giant wave, crashing down on Mo Luo and Leng Yue like a tsunami.
Leng Yue took three steps back, a smirk on her face as she settled in to watch Mo Luo’s performance.
Mo Luo gripped his blade with two hands and raised it high. In an instant, his aura surged to its absolute peak, and his weapon radiated a world-shattering power. "River-Cleaver, Sea-Splitter!"
Mo Luo swung his blade, unleashing a hundred-meter-long Dao Mang that sliced through the massive wave, cleaving it cleanly in two.
The attack sent Yue Yinchuan flying backward like a kite with a severed string. He crashed into the now-empty, muddy basin of the fishpond.
"H-How is this possible?" Yue Yinchuan coughed up a mouthful of blood, his face a mask of disbelief. He was a Seventh Realm War God, yet Mo Luo had severely wounded him with a single strike.
"Hey, talk about overkill," Leng Yue complained. "Was a Big Move like that really necessary for a pipsqueak like him?"
Leng Yue ran to the edge of the pond and, with a wave of her hand, pulled Yue Yinchuan up onto the bank. Activating her Life Totem to heal him, she continued to lecture Mo Luo. "He has a Water System Totem inside him! That’s valuable. We’re supposed to leave it for the Young Master to extract. Look what you did. Your one attack nearly killed him..."
Mo Luo gritted his teeth as he listened to Leng Yue ramble on. "Your mouth is just like Dizang’s," he snarled. "It runs on and on like a pair of pants that have come apart at the seams."
Leng Yue: "???"
