Maybe I really am a Villian
Chapter 295 - 5-star Beast
That poor girl still had nightmares about the time when Asher had punched her in the face until it became almost unrecognizable.
And because of that incident, there was now friction between the Astreans and the Elves.
Meanwhile, Elisa was thinking about these things.
Inside the virtual test, Asher looked up at the virtual sky and then thought, ’After this test, I can finally enjoy my ice cream.’
And then he checked the timer.
There were still 10 minutes left until the next stage.
The entire test would end in around one and a half hours.
Then the 10 minutes finally passed.
Luckily, no one else arrived in this area except Asher, so he didn’t have to fight anyone.
The barrier surrounding the area disappeared as soon as the timer reached zero.
New marked areas then appeared on the map again, and another 30-minute timer started.
This time, there were only 18 marked areas.
That meant only 18 out of the 25 students would pass this stage.
Asher stood up and started walking slowly toward the nearest area through the jungle.
He wasn’t in any hurry.
Asher continued moving through the jungle for a few moments, stepping between the trees and moving across the uneven ground.
Then, without warning, he suddenly jumped backward.
At that exact moment, where Asher had been standing only a moment ago, a large beast suddenly appeared as it jumped down from above and landed on the ground.
Asher looked at the beast.
It had a humanoid shape and stood around 4 meters tall, with its head almost touching the leaves of the nearby trees.
It had four extremely thick limbs—two arms and two legs.
Each of them was almost as thick as Asher’s head.
Its entire body was golden in color, and muscles covered almost every part of its body, making it look as if this beast had been taking steroids since birth.
It was also a five-star Gold-ranked beast.
That meant it was four stars above Asher’s current cultivation.
Asher had only managed to dodge because he heard the sound of leaves moving when the beast jumped toward him from above the trees.
Or maybe the beast had simply spawned in midair.
Asher looked at the beast and then muttered in confusion, "Isn’t a five-star beast too much for students with only one-star cultivation? Or is it some hidden boss of this test that only I encountered?"
Of course, no one answered his question.
The beast did, however.
It suddenly moved toward Asher with speed far greater than his own and threw a punch straight toward Asher’s not-so-ugly face.
Asher instantly moved his head slightly to the side.
The punch passed right beside his face.
Asher successfully dodged the attack and immediately moved backward to create some distance from the beast.
However, while moving away, he didn’t forget to swing his sword toward the beast’s arm.
The sword struck the beast’s golden skin.
However, the hide of the beast was far too tough.
Asher’s sword only left a shallow wound on its arm, one that wasn’t even enough to make the beast react to the attack.
The beast immediately moved after Asher.
Before Asher could move any farther away, the beast was already in front of him again and threw another punch toward him.
Asher once again dodged the attack without much difficulty.
He barely moved his body, shifting himself just enough for the punch to pass beside him.
He then moved away from the beast again and swung his sword toward its body.
The blade struck the beast once more.
But once again, the wound was extremely shallow.
The beast’s tough hide was difficult to cut, and Asher’s sword was also weak and dull compared to what would normally be needed to properly cut through such a tough body.
Asher continued moving around the beast.
The beast kept attacking him without giving him any break.
Punch after punch was thrown toward Asher.
Each time, Asher dodged the attacks with minimal movements, moving his head, shifting his body, or stepping to the side whenever necessary.
The beast couldn’t land a single attack on Asher’s body.
Meanwhile, Asher was the only one able to land attacks on the beast.
His sword continued leaving small and shallow wounds across its body, although none of them caused any serious damage.
This continued for several minutes.
The beast repeatedly attacked Asher, while Asher continued dodging and occasionally striking back with his sword.
After several minutes of this, the beast became enraged.
Its movements also became slightly heavier, showing that it was becoming tired from repeatedly attacking without hitting its target.
The beast once again rushed toward Asher and threw another powerful punch straight at him.
But this time, Asher didn’t dodge.
Instead, he firmly gripped the hilt of his sword with both hands and pulled it backward slightly.
As the beast’s fist came directly toward him, Asher stepped forward and thrust his sword straight toward the incoming punch.
Asher’s sword and the beast’s fist met. The sword went straight into the beast’s arm, pushed forward by both their combined forces and momentum behind it.
Before the beast could even scream in pain, Asher twisted the sword while it remained inside the beast’s arm. The sudden movement made the beast cry out loudly in pain.
The beast instantly tried to move backward before Asher could twist the sword again. It desperately tried to create distance, while Asher held the sword with both hands very tightly.
As the beast moved farther away, Asher pulled the sword out with all his strength. The blade finally came free, and blood flowed heavily from the beast’s wounded arm now.
Before the beast could move any farther away, Asher raised one hand toward it and fired two mana bullets, one directly toward its wound and another toward its eye instantly.
The mana bullets hit their targets, and the beast was too absorbed in pain to react. The mana bullet that struck the wound on its arm and made it worse, and another hit its eye, causing it to lose one eye.
