Chapter 2214: Chapter 2214: Word Spirit Truth (35)

"You know I just..."

"Just chatting." Chu Zhaoying cheerfully walked over and blocked Fei Jiang’s shoulder, handing him something. "Didn’t we often have heart-to-heart chats before?"

Fei Jiang shook off his hand. "Who wants to chat with you heart-to-heart."

"Come on, you’re in a relationship now, won’t chat with me heart-to-heart." Chu Zhaoying rolled his eyes. "Since I’m already here, a meal wouldn’t be too much to ask, right?"

"..."

Fei Jiang didn’t make a sound.

Chu Zhaoying just took it as him agreeing and playfully started pulling on those balloons. "What are you up to?"

Chu Zhaoying grabbed the balloons, ringing sounds echoing continuously.

"What’s this?" Chu Zhaoying pulled one by one and found they were all like that. He suddenly became curious. "Who set this up for you?"

Fei Jiang didn’t like these things, let alone having his garden turned into this.

And it’s his birthday today...

"Bang—"

The balloon burst.

The instigator still holding his hand, Chu Zhaoying: "..."

Fei Jiang: "..."

The contents inside the balloon fell to the ground; it wasn’t a bell inside, just a paper slip.

Chu Zhaoying found it strange, picked it up and took a glance.

"Intent?" There was only this word on the paper slip, with coordinates below.

Chu Zhaoying held up the paper slip and asked, "What’s this?"

Fei Jiang just glanced at Chu Zhaoying’s hand, then turned to look upstairs.

Chuzheng was standing by the window, arms crossed, watching them.

Chu Zhaoying waved with a smile.

Fei Jiang and Chu Zhaoying found all the paper slips inside the balloons.

There were quite a few paper slips, but many were blanks.

Chu Zhaoying was exhausted among a pile of balloons.

He came to mooch a meal; why is he now playing a treasure hunt?

"Last one!" Chu Zhaoying slapped the balloon on the table, perhaps with excessive force, it burst directly.

The paper slips originally on the table were blown away by the air and scattered everywhere.

Chu Zhaoying: "..."

Fei Jiang: "..."

Chu Zhaoying quickly picked up the things, rearranged them, and made a ’please’ gesture meekly.

—Fei Jiang, may everything go your way.

Except for the two words ’Fei Jiang’, the remaining four words each had coordinates.

These are four coordinates.

Chu Zhaoying quickly used his phone to check these coordinates, soon marking four places.

All within this city.

Fei Jiang instructed Chu Zhaoying, "Go drive."

"Eh?"

Chu Zhaoying became the driver inexplicably, taking Fei Jiang to the first location.

It was the city’s most famous amusement park, still operating today.

"What’s here?" Chu Zhaoying scratched his head in confusion.

Fei Jiang looked at the amusement park entrance, seemingly lost in thought.

Their stay wasn’t long before someone approached, handing over a contract on the spot.

Chu Zhaoying peeked over and couldn’t help but curse, "Damn!"

The next three places were an entertainment company, a newly built skyscraper, and a seemingly upscale restaurant.

All four places now belong to Fei Jiang.

Chu Zhaoying looked at Fei Jiang numbly.

"Who sent these?"

Chu Zhaoying didn’t know how wealthy Chuzheng was, so didn’t consider her initially.

Fei Jiang: "..."

Who else but the little one.

But why did she give him these things? What’s the significance?

Fei Jiang looked through the documents and couldn’t figure out anything special.

These places had no connections.

Different owners, different industries...

Fei Jiang quietly accepted the things Chuzheng sent.

He brought them back, conveniently leaving Chu Zhaoying behind.

Chu Zhaoying: "..."

What did I do wrong!

Accompany you and have a fun half-day, and you don’t even treat me to a meal?

Chu Zhaoying was so mad he punched and kicked at the car’s rear on the sidewalk.

Passersby were looking sideways. Handsome young guy, how is he so dumb?

Chu Zhaoying: "..."

-

The locations were far apart, Fei Jiang returned to the main residence as darkness fell.

The Chief Steward was waiting at the door, "Sir, where have you been? Miss Mo is waiting for you to have dinner."

"Mm."

Fei Jiang handed the stack of documents to the Chief Steward, "Put them in my study."

"Alright."

The Chief Steward went upstairs to put things away, Fei Jiang headed to the dining room.

However, the dining room was empty, the servant smiled and pointed to the garden.

The balloons on the garden lawn were glowing, light strips illuminating around, the whole garden shimmered brilliantly.

A table was placed on the lawn, a girl sat by the table, propped her chin reading a book.

Quietly, no sign of impatience.

She sat in the midst of the light, the darkness around seeming unable to touch her.

Yet for a moment, Fei Jiang felt she herself was the dark.

Fei Jiang stood there for nearly two minutes, gathering his thoughts, then walked over, hugging her from behind and kissing.

"You’re back."

"Mm." Fei Jiang moved the chair across to sit next to Chuzheng. "Why do it so far, can’t even see clearly."

Chuzheng suddenly asked, "Are you nearsighted?"

"...Little one, it’s not nearsightedness, it’s me wanting to be closer to you."

"Oh."

Chuzheng moved the book aside, leaving space for him.

Fei Jiang rested on the table, looking at her like a little puppy, "Why did you give me those things?"

"No use for me keeping them."

"Just that?"

"What else?"

"But you wrote..."

Fei Jiang paused, then slowly smiled, "Thanks."

Chuzheng maintained her poker face, "You’re welcome."

Fei Jiang: "..."

The servant came to serve food, just ordinary home dishes, no candlelit dinner, no steak and red wine, but Fei Jiang ate happily.

Chuzheng never mentioned anything else throughout.

"Little one, shall we set off fireworks?"

Chuzheng seriously replied, "Not allowed in the city."

"Ha." Fei Jiang didn’t expect Chuzheng to say this.

Is this the time to say that?

Ultimately, Fei Jiang couldn’t set off fireworks and played sparklers with Chuzheng.

-

Fei Jiang hadn’t relaxed like this for a long time, but the result was working with video at night.

After one video meeting ended, Fei Jiang yawned.

The Chief Steward organized Fei Jiang’s files, then pointed to what he brought back at night, "Sir, where do these need to be placed?"

"Lock them in the cabinet."

"Alright."

The Chief Steward put things in the safe and prepared to leave.

At the door, he turned back and softly asked, "Sir, were you happy today?"

Since Madam passed away, sir never celebrated birthdays again. After taking charge, he didn’t allow anyone to mention it.

Fei Jiang looked up at him, until the Chief Steward, who wouldn’t have answered previously, prepared to leave when a voice came.

"Happy."

The Chief Steward smiled, "Then I wish sir a pleasant dream tonight."

Fei Jiang’s lips curled, "I will."

The Chief Steward closed the door and left. Fei Jiang shut the computer and took a paper from the drawer beside, pieced together the sentence—Fei Jiang, may everything go your way.
