Chapter 2215: Chapter 2215: Kotodama Truth (End)
Fei Jiang only realized much later what Chuzheng’s initial gift signified.
Four different companies, extracted individually just enough to form—Happy Birthday.
Things she didn’t say were expressed to him in this way.
Yet Fei Jiang’s surprise didn’t stop there.
-
The spring snow melted, yet the air still held a bit of chill.
Chuzheng came out of the room, the villa bustling with people back and forth, looking somewhat busy.
"What’s going on?" Chuzheng pulled a servant over.
"Madam." The servant addressed her: "Sir has guests."
"Guests?"
How did she not know the Good Person Card had guests?
"Yes." The servant nodded.
Chuzheng waved her hand, letting the servant go back to work.
Chuzheng wandered outside the reception hall, where the door was open, faint sounds audible inside.
Chuzheng looked around, confirming no one was there, and pretended to wander over, peering inside.
There were several people inside, whom Chuzheng hadn’t seen much.
Who are they?
Fei Jiang rarely entertained guests here, apart from necessary banquets.
Chuzheng wandered past, then wandered back.
Fei Jiang noticed her inside, initially thinking Chuzheng was just passing through.
But seeing her hover twice, Fei Jiang couldn’t help but smile.
"Mr. Fei, did I say something wrong?" The person opposite noticed Fei Jiang’s odd expression and cautiously asked.
"Nothing." Fei Jiang withdrew his gaze.
The person opposite relaxed: "So, Mr. Fei, what do you think?"
Fei Jiang gestured to his assistant behind.
The assistant nodded and left the room.
"Ma... Madam?" The assistant was surprised seeing the girl facing the wall.
What is she doing?
"Hmm?" Chuzheng calmly turned around: "What is it?"
"..." What is it with you?
The assistant dared not ask more, only mentioning he was fetching something for Mr. Fei, then hurried off.
When he returned, Chuzheng was no longer there.
The assistant scratched his head and quickly went inside.
-
As night fell, busy servants began preparing dinner, Chuzheng leisurely appeared right at mealtime.
"Fei Jiang hasn’t finished the discussion yet?"
"Already finished."
"Where is he?"
The servant was about to answer when Fei Jiang casually sauntered in, the servant smiled at Chuzheng indicating he was here.
"Little one, I made a hundred million today." Fei Jiang excitedly approached Chuzheng, hugging her from behind.
"Wow, you’re amazing." Chuzheng praised, neither heartfelt nor deliberate.
Fei Jiang: "Perfunctory."
Fei Jiang chuckled then sat next to her: "But I didn’t take it."
Chuzheng finally raised her eyes to look at him, that’s on my card, making money isn’t suited for you, you’re more aligned with spending.
"Aren’t you going to ask why?"
"...Why?" It’s your Good Person Card to soothe.
Fei Jiang took out the stone Chuzheng gave him: "Because you gave it to me."
Chuzheng was silent for a few seconds: "...This is worth a hundred million?"
When she bought it, it was only a million, and just a stone.
Back then, people looked at her like she was crazy.
But the bastard explicitly wanted it.
She could only stare at the ’crazy spender’ title to buy it.
"Pretty much." Not quite a hundred million, but close.
Chuzheng: "Are there diamonds inside?"
"No."
"Any jade?"
"No."
Chuzheng: "..."
So, this mere rock is worth a hundred million?
She always thought the King’s Account was crazy; didn’t expect there were other fools.
Oh... the Good Person Card didn’t sell.
So there wasn’t a fool yet.
Fei Jiang seemed to understand Chuzheng’s confusion: "Wait a moment." He quickly left the dining room, dashed upstairs.
A few minutes later, he came down with a magnifying glass for Chuzheng to inspect.
The stone was close to black, the texture different from ordinary stones.
Under the magnifying glass, one could see patterns on it.
From the magnifying glass, the patterns appeared embedded within or floating above, very mysterious.
The overall pattern resembled... a dragon?
Chuzheng wasn’t sure, as the magnifying lens was limited.
"See it?" Fei Jiang gleefully questioned, "Where did you get this stone, little one?"
"..." You believe I spent money wastefully to get it? "Bought it casually."
"The little one’s luck is good, getting something like this casually."
Chuzheng put down the magnifying glass: "Have you ever thought..."
"What?"
"This might be a modern craft piece?"
"Who crafts something entirely black?" Fei Jiang’s face full of ’I’m not stupid’, whipped out a certification: "And here’s proof, definitely not a modern craft piece."
"..."
When did you get that authenticated?
Fei Jiang felt it was odd for Chuzheng to gift a mere stone, on a whim sent it for authentication.
The result...
Fei Jiang quickly raised a hand in oath: "Little one, rest assured, anything you gift me, even if it was worth fifty billion, I wouldn’t sell."
"Better be." Chuzheng pushed the stone worth a hundred million aside: "Eat."
"Alright."
Fei Jiang left the hundred million, happily serving his princess food.
Previously, Fei Jiang mostly ate Western cuisine.
Western meals gave off a cold, lonely vibe, for solo eating.
But ever since Chuzheng came, little Western was eaten.
If the Chief Steward hadn’t ghostly appeared with a nourishing soup, Fei Jiang was even happier.
Why the Chief Steward thought he needed supplements?
Fei Jiang got annoyed, cutting the Chief Steward’s pay, struggled, but couldn’t go against his salary.
He quickly changed tactics to food supplements.
Fei Jiang: "..."
You think I won’t notice this?
"Little one, you’re looking at that? Want some?"
Chuzheng shook her head: "I’m very healthy."
Fei Jiang: "..." I’m healthy too!
Fei Jiang leaned closer to Chuzheng: "Little one, I’ll deal with you later."
Chuzheng undeterred: "I have word magic."
"That’s not how word magic should be used!!"
Fei Jiang almost flipped the table.
The ancestors of word magic were about to come loose in their graves.
"If it works, why worry about how I use it." My stuff does as I please!
"You..." Fei Jiang sighed heavily, suddenly softening his tone: "Won’t you yield just this once?"
"No." A girl has principles!
"Just once." Fei Jiang held one finger up, deploying his practiced sweet talk skill: "Once."
"..."
The Good Person Card is cheating!
Fei Jiang blinked, his tone soft and coaxing: "Please..."
My principle is the Good Person Card!
Sigh.
"Just this once."
"Mm!" I’ll coax more next time, won’t you relent?
Chuzheng hadn’t realized the Good Person Card was scheming.
All she knew was Fei Jiang seemed a bit sweet now, making her want to kiss.
And indeed, she did.
In the vast dining room, the food had cooled, yet those embracing radiated endless warmth.
"Little one, want candy?"
"Yes."
