Infinite Disasters: I Hoarded My Way to Godhood
Chapter 251: Hairdresser, Agreement
Chapter 251: Chapter 251: Hairdresser, Agreement
After reviewing the Deliveryman’s Profession and Skills, Seraphina Sullivan turned to look at the Hairdresser.
The Skills for the [Hairdresser] seemed rather peculiar.
[Perfect Hairstyle] looked almost like a pure life skill, with limited use in a dungeon.
But those [Magic Scissors]...
"Anything I believe can be cut by scissors, can be cut?"
Seraphina mulled over the Skill’s description, a trace of astonishment flashing in her eyes.
’This sounds like an Ability that touches upon a conceptual or rule-based level.’
Although limited by her cognition and spiritual power, its potential and applicability seemed incredibly vast.
Whether it was severing an enemy’s weapon, an Energy Attack, destroying traps and mechanisms, or maybe even... cutting some kind of intangible Binding or connection?
In comparison, while the [Deliveryman]’s Skills were practical, they seemed much more conventional.
Without much hesitation, Seraphina made her decision.
"I choose the [Hairdresser] Profession!"
Her will locked onto it, and the light representing the [Hairdresser] Profession merged into her body.
The methods for using the [Magic Scissors] and the exquisite techniques of [Perfect Hairstyle] were seared into her consciousness as if by instinct.
The Perfect Hairstyle Skill didn’t just provide the ability to create hairstyles; it also granted Seraphina countless hairdressing techniques.
Even if she left this dungeon, these techniques could still be used by Seraphina.
’The knowledge has entered my brain.’
With a slight thought, Seraphina made a grasping motion with her right hand as a faint trace of spiritual power flowed.
A pair of silver scissors materialized in her hand.
She tentatively tried to snip one of the legs of a broken wooden stool nearby.
Silently, the stool leg was severed at its base as if cut by something incredibly sharp, the surface of the break as smooth as a mirror!
A surprised light shone in Seraphina’s eyes.
’This Skill really is something else.’
Although its attack range was likely limited and required contact or extremely close proximity to work, its "cognitive severance" trait could produce unexpected effects at critical moments.
With this Ability, plus her fully restored strength, Seraphina finally felt a solid bit of confidence about the thirty-day survival trial ahead.
Seraphina using her [Worker] Talent to awaken the [Hairdresser] Profession only took an instant.
After familiarizing herself with her newly acquired Ability, Seraphina finally turned her attention back to Belle White.
She found that Belle White’s expression had now regained its composure.
There was also a sense of determination in her eyes.
Belle White spoke solemnly, "I want to make a pact with you."
Seraphina raised an eyebrow.
Belle White didn’t keep her in suspense and directly revealed the harsher reality.
"The Death Arena controlled by Maxim is far darker than what you’ve seen. The ’Slaughter Game’ isn’t the only one; every day, death games with different themes, but equally brutal, are staged here."
"Becoming one of the ’Free People’ merely means you’ve been promoted from the lowest-level ’Tribute’ to a ’Chess Piece’ with slightly more rights, gaining the qualification to participate in more death games. His purpose here is to cultivate the strongest by culling the weak! He uses countless lives as nourishment to screen for and develop his most loyal and powerful core subordinates."
Her gaze fell sharply on Seraphina. "With your current strength, even with your abilities restored, you’ll never survive until the end of these continuous and increasingly dangerous death games. You’ll either end up as nourishment or be forced to become one of his lackeys."
After hearing this, Seraphina felt a chill, but more than that, she was confused. "So, you’re telling me all this because you plan to..."
Belle White took a deep breath and laid out her bargaining chip and conditions.
"Because of a Divine item, I possess a special Ability. I can forcibly end your survival mission in the Death Arena and let you return to the real world immediately. But I can only use this Ability once a month."
After speaking, her gaze meaningfully fell upon Sean Chandler, who was standing behind Seraphina.
The meaning couldn’t be clearer.
This opportunity was only for one person.
Sean Chandler would either be left behind to die, or... be abandoned.
Hearing this, Seraphina’s face didn’t show the ecstatic joy Belle White had expected. Instead, she asked with exceptional calmness, "So, what do you want in return?"
There’s no such thing as a free lunch, especially for a life-saving opportunity like this.
Belle White seemed to appreciate her reaction and spoke bluntly, "Your help. I’m doing this as a sort of investment. I hope that when you reach Level 5 in the future, or when you have enough power, you will be able to come back and help me solve the problem of this Death Arena dungeon and overthrow Maxim’s tyranny."
Seraphina was a bit taken aback. "You think too highly of me..."
’Go up against a being above Level 5 who has the power of a Divine Favored and controls the rules of an entire world?’
’That goal sounds like a fairy tale.’
But Belle White shook her head, her eyes holding a strange certainty.
"No, this isn’t blind trust. It’s a... premonition. My intuition tells me that we will definitely meet again in the future, and by then, you will certainly have the ability to answer my request."
This premonition seemed to stem from one of her Talents.
After Seraphina’s Talents were restored,
her Eye of Resume had already seen the other party’s information.
Belle White.
Level 5 Player.
And, like Yana Yates, she possessed multiple Talents.
One of those Talents was [Premonition], allowing her to vaguely sense glimmers of hope.
Belle White finally emphasized, "So, I can only send you away right now. As for your partner... I’m afraid he won’t be able to go back with you."
Although Seraphina didn’t understand why Belle White had so much faith in her [Premonition],
being able to leave this godforsaken place early was something Seraphina couldn’t ask for more.
The level of danger here far exceeded Seraphina’s ability to handle it.
As for Sean Chandler not being able to leave?
That wasn’t a problem for her at all.
"This shouldn’t be a problem, then, right?" Seraphina said, not even turning around as she gave a casual wave of her hand.
Sean Chandler, who was standing behind her, blurred in an instant and vanished on the spot, as if erased by a rubber eraser.
He had already been taken into her [Scavenger’s Farm] Space.
She chose to reveal this trump card.
Firstly, the situation was urgent, and this was the only way to take Sean Chandler with her.
Secondly, she hadn’t revealed her true appearance or name from the beginning, so what Belle White knew was limited.
By the time they truly met again in the future, she believed her [Worker] Talent would have given her an endless supply of trump cards. Revealing a Space Ability now was not unacceptable.
When Belle White saw someone vanish into thin air like that, shock flashed in her eyes again. But what followed wasn’t greed, but the relieved affirmation that she had made the right choice.
She really hadn’t misjudged her.
Belle White hesitated no longer and carefully took out the [Feather of the Goddess of Freedom].
The pure white feather in her palm emitted a soft yet firm light, and a Rule Power that transcended the Binding of this world began to spread.
"I’ll send you away now. Using a God’s Power will alert Maxim, so we have to be quick."
Belle White looked at Seraphina and urged her solemnly, "Remember our pact!"
