Chapter 250: Chapter 250: Talent Returns, Awakening a Profession

The moment this Food Atlas appeared!

A jolt ran through Seraphina Sullivan!

It was a long-lost sensation.

An exhilarating feeling, like shackles being shattered, washed over her!

Her [Worker] Talent, which had been ruthlessly suppressed by the rules of the Death Arena. Her connection to her various Skills and the [Scavenger’s Farm] Space. In that instant, all the Player Powers that belonged to her surged back. Like the shore revealed by a receding tide, they clearly returned to Seraphina Sullivan’s control!

The [Food God’s Gourmet Atlas] itself emitted a seemingly gentle and harmless "culinary" Rule Power. It actually formed a small, stable domain that enveloped her, cleverly neutralizing—or perhaps "tricking"—the suppressive rules imposed by the God of Slaughter!

"It... it really worked?!"

Feeling the Power surging through her body once more, Seraphina Sullivan was so overjoyed she could have cried out!

It was a lifeline in a hopeless situation!

Meanwhile, Belle White, standing to the side, was utterly dumbfounded.

’Wait?? What’s happening?’

She gaped at the bizarre, floating book, which radiated a tempting aroma. Then she looked back at the ecstatic Seraphina Sullivan, her brain practically short-circuiting.

"No... It can’t be?!"

She finally found her voice, which was filled with shock and disbelief.

"You... you actually have one?! A Divine item?! From the God of Cuisine?"

This was completely different from any situation Belle White had anticipated!

The Goddess of Liberty and the God of Slaughter, at least they sounded like powerful Divine beings with well-defined domains.

But the God of Cuisine?!

Using the power of food to fight the rules of slaughter?!

The mental image was so absurd she couldn’t accept it.

Seraphina Sullivan felt Power flood back into her, as warm as a rising tide.

The long-lost feeling of being in control of her own destiny made Seraphina want to roar to the heavens.

She eagerly reacquainted herself with each returning Ability:

The familiar sense of her [Worker] Talent reconnected.

With a mere thought, she could sense the Profession options available to awaken in this world.

"This is great! I can really continue to awaken new Professions," Seraphina Sullivan whispered, her face beaming with irrepressible joy.

This was more than just the recovery of her strength.

It was the immense psychological relief of finding a lifeline in a desperate situation.

Nearby, Belle White’s brain was still rebooting.

She stared at the palpable fluctuations of Energy now radiating from Seraphina Sullivan.

Then she glanced back at the bizarre book, still floating and emitting an incongruous, "delicious" Aura.

"Where... where in the world did you get that thing?"

Belle White’s voice trembled slightly.

She simply couldn’t comprehend how a Level 2 Player could possess such an extraordinary item.

Still immersed in her joy, Seraphina Sullivan didn’t even look up when she heard the question.

She answered casually as she focused on awakening a new Profession in this world. "Found it."

Belle White: "..."

’Found it?!’

Her expression froze, as if she’d just heard the most ridiculous joke of the century.

’Since when can you just find Divine items lying on the side of the road?!’

But Seraphina Sullivan really had just found it.

Or to be precise, she’d looted it off a corpse.

Her luck was so good it was infuriating.

Belle White stared at Seraphina Sullivan as if she were a walking, logic-defying miracle.

"Forget it..."

Belle White took a deep breath, forcing herself to accept this absurd reality.

She steered the conversation back on track, her tone growing serious once more.

"Even though you’ve recovered your strength, I have to remind you that at Level 2, you’re still no match for Maxim in this Death Arena.

He can mobilize the Rule Power of this entire world, and what’s more, he is the Beloved of the God of Slaughter.

The dangers of this instance’s thirty-day survival trial aren’t limited to the Slaughter Game; there are other death matches as well."

She looked at Seraphina Sullivan, the initial distance in her gaze replaced by a more careful assessment.

A Level 2 Player who could obtain a Divine item, whether through outrageous luck or some hidden potential, was definitely a promising prospect.

’If she could grow stronger...’

An idea began to form in Belle White’s mind.

The [Free Flying Feather] given to her by the Goddess of Liberty.

Besides protecting her from suppression, it also contained an extremely precious Special Ability.

It could designate a target, allowing them to ignore all system rules and instance restrictions, forcibly ending their current mission and sending them back to the real world immediately.

This was an Ability the Goddess of Liberty granted to her potential Beloveds.

She had originally kept it as a trump card for herself, or to save a vital companion in a desperate situation.

But now, looking at Seraphina Sullivan—who had unexpectedly broken the stalemate and displayed such astonishing potential—she made a decision.

’Perhaps... I can send Seraphina away from this dangerous place early.’

’Let her return to a relatively safe environment to grow stronger.’

’Once she becomes truly powerful, reaching Level 5 or even higher, maybe then she can become the spark of hope that overthrows Maxim’s tyranny and saves this world.’

’It would be an investment in the future.’

Seraphina Sullivan had no idea that Belle White was internally debating such a monumental decision about her fate.

She was completely focused on her newly restored [Worker] Talent and had just successfully awakened two new Professions in this bizarre Death Arena world.

Two distinct Profession icons and their descriptions appeared in her mind.

Prompting Seraphina Sullivan to choose one.

[Deliveryman]

Ability One: [Wind Rider]: When piloting any form of mount (including, but not limited to, vehicles, animals, or even special transports), you can grant it a massive 100% boost to its movement speed.

Ability Two: [Takeout Shield]: Condense Energy to form a solid Shield in front of you that resembles a takeout container. The Shield lasts for several seconds and can effectively absorb a large amount of physical and energy-based impact from the front.

[Hairdresser]

Ability One: [Magic Scissors]: Consume spiritual power to manifest a pair of invisible "Magic Scissors." These scissors obey the rule of "Cognitive Severance" and can cut any matter, Energy, or even abstract concept (e.g., ropes, beams of light, flows of Energy, connections, etc.) that you subjectively believe "can be cut by scissors." The strength of the Effect and its cost are influenced by the target’s complexity and your own spiritual power.

Ability Two: [Perfect Hairstyle]: Grants you an exceptional artistic sense and manual dexterity, allowing you to design and create a Perfect Hairstyle that perfectly suits a person’s character.

’Which Profession should I choose?’ Seraphina quickly weighed the pros and cons.

The two Skills for [Deliveryman] were very straightforward.

[Wind Rider] could be incredibly effective in situations requiring high-speed mobility, but that was contingent on finding a suitable "mount." In this treacherous arena, that was far too uncertain.

[Takeout Shield] was a practical defensive Skill, offering valuable survivability, but it felt a bit too passive.
