Chapter 175: Chapter 175: The Petrifying Legion Arrives

The Night Behemoth’s counterattack began.

Dustin Sullivan felt an irresistible, overwhelming force transmit through the blade of his sword, like a landslide crashing down.

The web of his hand instantly split open, dripping with blood.

The Night Behemoth’s attack power far exceeded the absolute limit of what he and Julian Shaw, even with his gravity enhancement, could withstand!

On the other side, Julian Shaw also let out a muffled grunt.

He pushed his Gravity Control to its limit, trying to stabilize the giant sword, but the force coming from the Stone Blade felt like a meteor strike.

His Force Field was forcibly torn apart and crushed like fragile glass!

"This is bad! We can’t hold it back!" Dustin Sullivan’s pupils contracted. He only had time to shout a brief warning.

The next moment—

BAM!!!

A gut-wrenching screech of metal on metal rang out, accompanied by the sound of dislocating bones.

The longsword Dustin Sullivan had transformed into a giant blade was violently knocked away, turning into a streak of light that fell to an unknown location.

As for Dustin Sullivan and Julian Shaw, it was as if they’d been hit head-on by a speeding heavy truck. They both spat out blood and let out agonized screams.

Their bodies were sent flying by the terrifying force like kites with their strings cut, tracing two parabolas as they plummeted toward the chaotic battlefield in the distance.

Seeing this,

"Brother—!" Coco Sullivan let out a heart-wrenching cry.

"Boss!" Trevor Tanner’s eyes looked ready to split from their sockets.

However, just as Dustin Sullivan and Julian Shaw were falling like meteors toward the dense swarm of monsters below, in the split second before they were about to be torn to shreds...

WHOOSH!

A black shadow, like a living, spiritual serpent, shot out from the wall at an astonishing speed!

It was Seraphina Sullivan’s Poisonous Python Black Whip!

Under Seraphina Sullivan’s control, the whip’s body extended madly as if it had no limit, wrapping with pinpoint accuracy around the two men’s falling bodies before tightening!

"Come back!"

Seraphina Sullivan shouted crisply and flicked her wrist!

A massive pulling force came from the long whip, forcefully yanking Dustin Sullivan and Julian Shaw, who had already fallen a good distance, back from the brink of death.

It prevented the tragic fate of them falling into the monster tide to be crushed.

"Brother!"

"Boss!"

Seeing this, Coco Sullivan and Trevor Tanner immediately rushed forward. Without a moment to spare for sentiment, they quickly took out life-saving High Level Healing Potions and Energy Recovery Potions, pried open the two men’s mouths, and poured the contents down their throats.

Once the potions were down, a trace of color returned to the two men’s deathly pale faces.

Their chaotic auras also calmed slightly, but their severe injuries and exhaustion left them temporarily out of combat, needing time to recover.

But the battlefield would not give them that time!

The two remaining Night Behemoths, stepping over their companion’s corpse with earth-shaking strides, continued their unwavering advance toward the Fireseed Shelter!

The colossal shadows and terrifying pressure plunged those who had just felt a glimmer of hope back into an even deeper despair.

"It’s over... Even Mr. Sullivan and Mr. Shaw lost when they teamed up..."

"The Night Behemoths... they’re simply unbeatable!"

"We’re all going to die here!"

Despair spread across the wall like a plague. Some even let their weapons hang limply in their hands.

Seraphina Sullivan watched the two behemoths approach like incarnations of death, then glanced at the incapacitated Dustin Sullivan and Julian Shaw. She, too, felt a knot of tension in her heart.

’The main quest cannot fail! I must get this chance to improve my Talent!’

She took a deep breath, her gaze turning resolute.

’I can only gamble! I hope the Musician Ability, combined with Moe and the others’ Petrification, can create a miracle!’

With that thought, she no longer hesitated and strode to the edge of the wall.

Nicholas Jensen, who was pouring all his firepower onto the enemy, was stunned when he saw her actions. "Hey! What are you doing? Don’t tell me you still have a plan?!"

He really couldn’t imagine what kind of trick Seraphina Sullivan could possibly have up her sleeve against a monster that even Dustin Sullivan and Julian Shaw couldn’t defeat together.

Meanwhile, Sean Chandler, like the most loyal of knights, followed closely by Seraphina Sullivan’s side without a word. He repeatedly thrust out his palms, creating one translucent Air Cannon after another. He blasted any flying monsters or ranged attacks that tried to get near Seraphina out of the air, clearing a safe space for her.

Seraphina Sullivan stood firm, and with a thought—

The next moment, the figure of the Little Demon Prince, Moe, appeared beside her.

But that wasn’t all! With a wave of her hand, more ripples spread through the air. One after another, sinister-looking creatures with eyes glinting a ghastly green—The Silenti—appeared. Like a legion summoned from The Otherworld, they materialized in dense droves upon the wall, numbering in the dozens!

"Wha... What the hell!"

Seeing this suddenly appearing "monster army," Nicholas Jensen was so shocked he nearly bit his tongue, his aim wavering for a moment. "Are... are you a Player or a Beast Tamer?! How can you summon so many little monsters?!"

Seraphina Sullivan had no time to pay attention to Nicholas Jensen’s commentary.

She gave a direct order to Moe, who was floating in the air:

"Moe, take your subjects and focus your fire! Use your Petrification Ability and petrify those two biggest Night Behemoths for me!"

"Eee-yah!" Moe nodded his little head vigorously, a serious and sinister expression on his face.

It waved its small hand forward, and its Royal Dignity issued a silent command.

In an instant, dozens of The Silenti flapped their wings and took flight in unison. They spread out, hovering in mid-air, and simultaneously aimed their wicked, green-glowing eyes at the two approaching Night Behemoths!

ZING! ZING! ZING!

Hundreds of deadly, green Petrification rays, like death signals suddenly flashing in the darkness, tore through the sky. They fell like a dense green rain, precisely covering the two colossal creatures!

Everyone was deeply shaken by this sudden turn of events.

Hundreds of ghastly green Petrification rays weaved a massive net of death in the dim sky.

It descended precisely upon the two mountain-like Night Behemoths and the dense swarm of monsters surrounding them!

The moment the rays hit their targets, a bizarre and horrifying change occurred!

Whether it was the thick-skinned Night Behemoths or the roaring flying monsters and ground-based minions, any part struck by the green light rapidly lost its living color. A cold, grayish-white, stony sheen appeared, and this Petrification effect was still spreading rapidly!

The two Night Behemoths let out roars mixed with shock and rage. Their arms wielding the Stone Blade and Stone Axe, their striding giant feet, and even half of their bodies began to grow stiff and heavy under the continuous barrage of green light.

Their movements slowed visibly, as if they had been plunged into an invisible mire!

The monsters around them that were trying to protect them were turned into stone statues in various poses, falling in swathes along the path of their charge!

They were promptly crushed by the monsters behind them.

Seraphina watched.

This was a bizarre clash between monsters born under the rules of two different apocalyptic dungeons!
