"Mr. Su!" Lu Dongliang exclaimed.

Everyone knew the sea was the domain of the sea monsters. Besides, transcendents still needed to breathe. He couldn't possibly tread water and fight at the same time, could he?

Underwater, crystal-blue light radiated from Su Mu's eyes. His powerful spiritual energy granted him unparalleled perception, allowing him to see the sea monster in its entirety.

It was a gargantuan octopus. Its body was so massive it resembled a moving black island, covered in pitch-black, wrinkled skin that looked like the bark of an ancient tree.

Countless thick tentacles churned the water, packed with suckers of varying sizes. They formed a dense cluster of gaping holes that would make anyone's scalp tingle.

At that moment, the octopus spotted Su Mu. A massive tentacle swept toward him.

Su Mu narrowed his eyes. A vast amount of spiritual energy surged into the silver ring on his left hand, instantly erupting with an eerie glow.

A split second later, this spiritual energy converted into immense physical strength. Facing the incoming tentacle, he didn't dodge. Instead, he exerted force and grabbed it viciously with both hands.

His hands plunged straight into the suckers. Using the momentum, he flipped his body and climbed onto the tentacle.

The tentacle thrashed wildly, but it couldn't shake Su Mu off. He gave it another vicious pull. It looked as if he wanted to yank the octopus down, but with no foothold in the water, the powerful counterforce shot him straight toward the creature instead.

This was exactly Su Mu's goal. He had seen the underside of the octopus, where tens of thousands of black, fleshy tendrils drifted among the tangled roots of its tentacles.

It was incredibly difficult for him to kill such a behemoth in the sea, but... his bodyguard, the Celestial Sovereign of Longevity, could!

Shooting through the layers of tentacles like a torpedo, Su Mu plunged directly into the dense mass of black tendrils. His figure was instantly swallowed whole.

Sensing the arrival of a soul, the black tendrils instinctively writhed and wrapped madly around Su Mu, trying to drag his soul out. And then... there was no 'then'.

A flash of boundless, brilliant azure light erupted, as if descending from a higher dimension.

Swish!

The island-sized octopus monster vanished.

Its disappearance was so abrupt that the surrounding seawater seemed unable to react. Only a moment later did it surge in from all directions to fill the vacuum left behind.

The people on the ship jumped in fright. From their perspective, they had only seen Su Mu dive into the ocean, followed immediately by a flash of azure light. The tentacles wrapping around the ship had been bathed in that light and then vanished in an instant.

"It... it's gone?!" Lu Dongliang hurriedly ran to the edge of the ship to look, only to find that the massive shadow beneath the surface had also disappeared.

Dumbfounded, he said in horror, "Is this the power of Mr. Su's Eye of Annihilation? It wiped out the sea monster in an instant! This is simply an unreasonable obliteration!"

Mu Qing was just as appalled. The small hand she had slipped deep into her coat slowly withdrew.

Even Yang Dongqing, who understood Su Mu, was stunned. He really had the Eye of Annihilation?! Just how many Laws did he possess?

On the vast, boundless ocean, sunlight spilled across the shimmering surface, casting layers of golden ripples. Suddenly, a figure emerged from the water. Sopping wet hair clung to his forehead, and water droplets slid down his sharply defined face, glinting like crystals in the sun.

It was Su Mu.

He swam to the side of the ship and grabbed a metal mooring bar with one hand. The muscles in his arm bulged slightly as he exerted force, launching himself out of the water like a loosed arrow to land squarely on the deck.

"Leader, a towel." A crew member who had been waiting nearby respectfully handed over a white towel. Su Mu took it, removed his Tinted Glasses, and wiped his cheeks and dripping hair.

This was the first time everyone had seen the eyes hidden behind the Tinted Glasses. Resembling black sapphires, they flickered with a deep, dark glow.

To tell if a person had spirit and vigor, one only needed to see if there was light in their eyes. There was light in Su Mu's eyes, but it was incredibly deep and exceptionally dark—like a vortex that made people subconsciously want to lose themselves within it.

"Mr. Su, you're incredibly strong!" Lu Dongliang said excitedly. He was a straightforward man and made no effort to hide his admiration for the strong.

"Let's hurry and get out of here. The monsters in the sea can't be killed. That octopus sea monster will return soon," Mu Qing reminded them, not forgetting their current predicament.

"Right, right, right. Let's go." Lu Dongliang quickly turned to urge the crew.

Yet Su Mu, who was still drying his hair, spoke flatly. "That octopus isn't coming back. It's already dead."

"Dead?" Mu Qing's cherry-pink lips parted slightly. "Aren't they unkillable? Can you actually kill them, Mr. Su?"

Su Mu nodded. "There's no such thing as true immortality in this world. And even if there were, it wouldn't be found on an octopus."

The crowd grew even more shocked. Had the curse of immortality been broken so easily? Was this Mr. Su's true strength?

The ship continued its voyage. As time slowly trickled by, the octopus sea monster truly didn't return.

In the dark depths of the sea, a humanoid creature covered entirely in slimy green scales stared gloomily at the ship. It had a pair of scarlet eyes, and its back seemed to have bloomed, sprouting countless thick black tendrils that writhed silently in the water.

It shifted its gaze to the spot where the octopus sea monster had disappeared. Feeling the residual power lingering in the water, a flash of apprehension surfaced in its eyes.

"The power of a deity! He's a divine chosen too! But which deity's divine chosen is he? It seems I can't act rashly; I need to keep testing him."

Suddenly, it leaned down to look at the gloomy ocean floor and let out a bizarre string of ravings.

Thrum!

The bizarre ravings traveled along the currents to the bottom of the sea, and a shocking scene immediately followed.

A dense array of scarlet eyes lit up in the depths of the ocean. They were utterly massive; the largest of them even reached ten meters in diameter!

On the ship, Su Mu hadn't changed out of his wet clothes. Yang Dongqing was a bit puzzled. "Aren't you uncomfortable in wet clothes?"

Su Mu shook his head. "Because I'm going back into the water soon."

Yang Dongqing paused. Before he could react, Su Mu had already walked to the edge of the ship, his deep gaze fixed on the bottomless sea. "They're here."

In the next moment, the calm surface of the sea began to churn violently, as if a behemoth was about to breach.

Such a massive commotion naturally drew everyone's attention. When they looked into the water, their blood ran cold. Eerie red light was glowing from within the sea!

The red light spanned a vast area, covering nearly a kilometer in radius, and it was growing brighter by the second. It looked as if the source of the light was rapidly approaching the ship from the depths.

As the crowd looked closer, they were instantly filled with horror. This wasn't just red light—it was a myriad of giant scarlet eyes! They blinked with a bizarre crimson glow, merging together into a single sheet that illuminated a kilometer of the ocean.
