I Use Illusions to Control the Whole World

Chapter 163: The Shocked Sea God's Familiar

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Massive tentacles broke the surface, thrashing in the air like monolithic pillars. Right behind them, mountain-like sea monsters slowly rose. Their rough skin resembled ancient reefs, exuding a dark luster. They completely surrounded the boat, their massive bodies casting terrifying shadows in the sunlight.

They were incredibly deformed, an amalgamation of various fish and octopuses stitched together at random.

Worse, the sea monsters were accompanied by a densely packed swarm of undead sirens. Their bodies remained submerged, exposing only their rotting heads. From afar, it looked like a sea of putrefying human heads floating on the water!

This horrifying sight filled Mu Qing and the others with despair. They had every reason to be—dozens of mountain-like sea monsters and tens of thousands of undead sirens. Even on land, they wouldn't stand a chance against such a lineup, let alone in the ocean.

They were truly trapped, with no way up and no way down.

Mu Qing's expression changed drastically. She quickly pulled four bottles of light-blue potion from her coat and tossed them to the group.

"This is the Swimming Fish Potion! Drink it, and you'll be able to move underwater like a fish for an hour. Hurry! The boat is done for!"

The moment she finished speaking, several thick tentacles crashed down from above, slamming viciously toward the group.

Everyone present was a Transcendent, so their reactions were lightning-fast. They scattered to dodge, but just as Mu Qing had predicted, the boat was a lost cause.

Under the sea monsters' attack, the small vessel instantly splintered into pieces, scattering countless wooden shards across the waves as everyone plunged into the water.

Without hesitation, they downed their Swimming Fish Potions in a single gulp. A strange sensation soon spread through their bodies. Their skin grew as smooth as a fish's, developing a natural affinity with the seawater.

Being submerged now felt like standing in the open air; their breathing and speech were completely unaffected.

The natural resistance of the water was no longer an obstacle.

However, the Swimming Fish Potion would only last an hour. The moment they hit the water, a swarm of undead sirens surged up from the seabed beneath them.

Su Mu looked at the terrifying number of enemies, a mysterious smile curling the corners of his mouth. "It's time for your performance, Celestial Sovereign of Longevity."

He turned to the panicked group. "For such a massive number of undead sirens to act in unison, there must be a sea god's familiar controlling them from behind the scenes. Protect yourselves. I'm going to find the sea god's familiar."

Without waiting for a reply, he plunged headfirst into the depths.

"As expected of Mr. Su!" Lu Dongliang praised. Facing such a massive enemy force, Su Mu had actually chosen to charge the enemy lines alone, intending to capture the ringleader first.

A blazing will to fight ignited in Lu Dongliang's eyes. Dense bloodshot veins spread across his sclera as his body swelled bizarrely by a full size. His skin turned crimson, and he charged at the surrounding undead sirens.

Though a woman, Mu Qing displayed unparalleled calm. Cold light flashed in her eyes as her hands swayed rhythmically. The next moment, countless strands of waterweed shot out from the sea, frantically strangling the surrounding enemies.

Even the weakest among them, Yang Dongqing, was fighting desperately.

The very fact that they had chosen to set out to sea rather than wait for death in the Sea Kingdom was proof enough of their courage. Now that they were in danger, risking their lives in a desperate fight went without saying.

In the dim seawater, the surrounding undead sirens seemed to realize Su Mu's intentions and charged madly toward him.

Su Mu didn't hold back. Massive mental power surged into the silver ring on his left hand, the Energy-Devouring Spirit Ring. The steady stream of mental energy was converted into physical strength, granting him terrifying speed.

His body abruptly exploded with force, turning him into a phantom on the seabed. He constantly dodged and maneuvered, evading the undead sirens' attacks while reaching out to touch their black fleshy tentacles.

Every undead siren he touched flashed with cyan light and was annihilated in an instant!

At this moment, he seemed like a god capable of erasing everything. Without any violent movements, a simple touch wiped the surrounding sirens from existence.

The undead sirens were not strong. Their individual strength couldn't even match a Bronze Tier 1 Transcendent. They merely relied on the environmental advantage of the sea and their Undying Body to act so fiercely.

Once those two advantages were negated, they were nothing more than pure cannon fodder.

Just then, a massive sea monster resembling a tiger shark opened its gaping, bloody maw and ambushed Su Mu from behind.

The maw was simply too massive. Its sheer coverage made it impossible for Su Mu to escape the attack range underwater. However, Su Mu didn't try to flee; he simply allowed the creature to swallow him whole.

After swallowing Su Mu, the tiger shark sea monster swam onward, its momentum completely undiminished.

Deep on the seabed, a humanoid creature completely covered in green scales hid in the shadows, observing. It was the sea god's familiar orchestrating the attack.

Dealt with that easily? It faintly felt that something was wrong.

With its sharp eyes, it quickly noticed a new humanoid silhouette where the tiger shark had just passed. It was a human's shadow!

A shadow??

The sea god's familiar sensed trouble. Sure enough, the humanoid shadow squirmed, and Su Mu stepped out of the Shadow, completely unharmed.

"What?!" the sea god's familiar exclaimed in shock. "He can actually bypass physical damage!"

It was just about to command the tiger shark to turn back, but Su Mu had already shot forward, landing on the shark's back. Without the slightest fluctuation of power, his fair, slender hand gently pressed against the black fleshy tentacles on its spine.

Swish!

A cyan light flashed, and the tiger shark dissipated.

Seeing this, the sea god's familiar's heart sank. It silently lowered its body, hiding among a patch of coral. Upon contact, its green scales instantly shifted to match the coral's color, blending in so perfectly that it was impossible to distinguish with the naked eye.

The divine power Su Mu wielded was simply too terrifying; the familiar did not dare face its edge.

Having dealt with the tiger shark, Su Mu scanned his surroundings in an attempt to locate the mastermind. His gaze swept over the coral without lingering. Finding nothing, he swam off into the distance.

Hidden within the coral, the sea god's familiar watched with a gloomy gaze, continuously pondering countermeasures. Through that brief probe, it had gained some understanding of Su Mu's abilities.

A powerful physical body, the ability to hide in the Shadow to evade damage, and the power to directly erase the undead sirens.

It didn't care much about the first two abilities. What concerned it the most was the divine power that erased the sirens. This kind of power was simply unreasonable. Even with the Sea God's power, it didn't dare test it lightly.

After all, there was no guarantee that the Sea God's power would triumph over his opponent's divine power.

Damn it! We are both divine chosen, so why can he use divine power without limits? Is he even a divine chosen? He's practically possessed by a god!

It was no wonder the sea god's familiar thought this way. Wielding power bestowed by the gods came with a price. Who on earth would act like Su Mu, using divine power to clear out simple cannon fodder?

It seems I'll need to find another way.
