Chapter 474: Sins of Humans

Petra simply watched Kouhei get dragged inside Aegis’s room with a smile on her face. She watched him lose consciousness before he could even properly understand what was happening, and then she watched as he was pulled farther into the room without putting up much of a fight. The whole thing happened so quickly that Petra almost laughed at him, especially because Kouhei had walked into the situation with the confidence of someone who genuinely believed he understood what he had gotten himself into.

It wasn’t as though Petra had actually lied to him or anything. In fact, practically everything she had told him beforehand had been completely true. She had been honest when she described Aegis, and she hadn’t fabricated some elaborate story just to get Kouhei into the room. There was, however, one rather important detail that Petra had conveniently decided not to mention.

That particular detail concerned Aegis’s libido.

Aegis’s libido was simply far too intense for her body to handle normally, and it wasn’t something that could be dismissed as her merely being a particularly passionate woman. Her desires could become overwhelming, and Petra knew that much better than Kouhei did because she had spent considerably more time studying the vessels of the Holy Book.

There had always been a secret surrounding the Holy Books and their vessels, something that wasn’t immediately obvious unless someone had enough knowledge to recognize the pattern. The vessels of the Holy Books possessed certain characteristics that could eventually be noticed, especially by someone who had studied multiple vessels rather than simply observing one of them.

Petra had studied enough about them and had seen enough vessels of the Holy Books to recognize those characteristics. One of the most obvious traits was that the vessels often possessed unusually powerful desires, particularly when it came to their libido. Their desires weren’t necessarily identical, but they tended to be far stronger than what would normally be expected from an ordinary person.

One of the vessels had once been the king of an entire country, and that particular king maintained a harem containing thousands of women. Apparently, even a harem of that ridiculous size was barely enough to satisfy his libido.

The trait wasn’t always related to libido, of course, because Petra had also discovered that the vessels could develop unusually powerful tendencies toward wrath, pride, gluttony, sloth, envy, and greed.

Eventually, Petra realized what those tendencies represented.

The vessels were influenced by one of the Seven Deadly Sins.

Humans naturally possessed all of those tendencies to some degree, because people were complicated creatures and nobody was completely free from greed, anger, envy, pride, or any of the other flaws that came with being human. Among the vessels, however, one particular sin would always become significantly more active than the others.

Aegis happened to be influenced most strongly by lust.

That influence had caused her libido to become far more intense than it would have been under ordinary circumstances, and Petra knew that Aegis had been struggling to keep it under control for quite some time.

To be fair, Petra hadn’t exactly lied to Kouhei when she told him that Aegis was a really horny woman. She had chosen her words carefully, but there had been genuine truth behind them. If Kouhei had asked whether Aegis had an unusually strong libido, Petra would have answered honestly.

The problem was that Petra had never explained just how strong that libido actually was.

She hadn’t told him how difficult it could become for Aegis to control herself once her desires started getting out of hand. She hadn’t explained how desperate she could become when those urges reached their peak, either.

Because of that little omission, Kouhei had severely underestimated what he was walking into.

Petra had no idea exactly what was going to happen to him once Aegis had him inside her room, but judging from the way things had already started, she had a feeling Kouhei was going to learn that missing information the hard way.

"I’m so sorry. I’m really sorry. Please, don’t hate me."

Kouhei could hear a rather ominous voice coming from somewhere nearby. His consciousness was still hanging by a thread, and he was fighting against the heavy darkness that kept trying to pull him back into unconsciousness.

The woman’s voice sounded nervous.

Almost guilty.

That was probably the part that concerned him the most.

"But... this man, I feel like if I do this with him just once, I’ll be okay," the woman continued, speaking quietly to herself. "It’s not like I’m going to be punished for it, right? I’m going to hide this fact, and nobody will know. I won’t be punished."

Her voice became quieter for a moment before she continued.

"If I get found out, then so be it. I’d probably be burned..." she muttered. "I’m afraid of getting burned, but right now, I feel like this is my only chance."

The entire thing sounded like an ominous prayer from someone who had already decided to do something questionable and was desperately trying to convince herself that she would somehow be forgiven afterward.

Kouhei wasn’t even fully conscious yet, and somehow he already felt like he was being dragged into a situation he absolutely didn’t understand.

He tried to open his eyes as much as he could, but his vision remained blurry. His body felt heavy, and his thoughts were still scattered from whatever had caused him to lose consciousness.

Considering that Aegis had been the last person he remembered seeing before everything went dark, it was only natural for him to assume that she was the woman standing somewhere nearby.

"Now then, I think that’s over and done with."

Kouhei managed to pry his eyes open.

His vision slowly became clearer, although everything initially looked somewhat distorted.

"Fufufu, what a specimen I’ve gotten," the woman said. "If I didn’t do this, I might never get another chance like this. Oh, what should I do, what should I do? Would I get arrested for this?"

She paused for a moment before seemingly arguing with herself.

"But this man clearly likes me, and it seems like he has the intention of having sex with me, so I won’t get arrested, right? He won’t complain, right? I mean, I’m only speeding up the process. I’m not really doing anything wrong."

Kouhei listened to her increasingly frantic reasoning while trying to understand what exactly was going on.

The more she talked, the less convincing her explanation became.

She sounded like someone who had already decided to do something and was now desperately trying to construct an argument that would make her feel better about doing it.

As Kouhei’s vision finally cleared, he could see Aegis standing nearby.

She was wearing nothing but revealing lingerie.

The sight was enough to leave Kouhei completely stunned.

Aegis dressed in relatively modest clothing, so seeing her dressed like this felt almost like looking at an entirely different person. The contrast was so extreme that Kouhei needed a moment just to process what he was actually seeing.

Then he felt something cold around his wrists.

Kouhei looked up.

His wrists had been fastened to the headboard with handcuffs.

He immediately tried to move, only to discover that the restraints were firmly secured. Looking farther down, he realized that his clothes had also been removed until he was left wearing only his underwear.

Kouhei stared at Aegis again.

He had absolutely no idea how things had escalated this far.

Kouhei’s eyes then moved toward Aegis again, and he noticed several strange objects protruding from beneath her clothing.

They were clearly too large to be ordinary love eggs.

"These things are keeping my libido under control," Aegis explained, taking a slow breath. "They help, but as expected, they’re not going to keep me going forever."

Kouhei continued staring at her, still trying to figure out what exactly he had gotten himself involved in.

’Did she left something important...? I don’t think something as important as this is something that is safe to leave out...’

Whatever Petra had failed to tell him about Aegis, Kouhei was beginning to suspect that it wasn’t some minor detail that could simply be brushed aside. It was probably the kind of information that should have come with a warning, several pages of explanation, and perhaps a signed document confirming that he had been properly informed.

Unfortunately, he had none of those things.
