I Took A Succubus's First Time
Chapter 473: Seduce the Nun, Part 4
After a while, both Kouhei and Aegis were finally finished with dinner.
The dinner itself had gone fairly well, at least as far as Kouhei could tell, but now that they had reached the point where there was nothing left to eat, the next part of the date suddenly felt much harder to figure out. He could leave, of course, and simply treat dinner as the end of the date, but something about that idea bothered him.
Kouhei had a feeling that if he simply stood up, said goodbye, and left immediately after dinner, he was going to fail this date so badly that even he would have trouble defending himself afterward.
He sat there for a little longer, quietly thinking through his options while trying not to make it too obvious that he had absolutely no idea what he was doing.
"Um..." Aegis suddenly spoke.
Kouhei's thoughts immediately stopped, and he turned his attention toward her.
Aegis was looking at him with a faint blush spreading across her face, and judging by her expression, she clearly wanted to say something. She seemed to be gathering the courage to actually speak, so Kouhei decided not to interrupt her and simply waited patiently for whatever she wanted to say.
After a brief pause, Aegis finally opened her mouth.
"Do you want to go to my place?" she asked.
The words came out somewhat hesitantly, and Kouhei could tell that it had taken her a fair amount of effort to actually say them.
Kouhei stared at her for a moment, completely unsure about how he was supposed to respond.
Going to her place was certainly not what he had expected when he started the date.
There were quite a few variables that he still had to consider, and while the invitation sounded innocent enough, Kouhei had learned over time that things were rarely as simple as they initially appeared. He could not simply assume that everything would be fine just because Aegis had invited him.
At the same time, there was something about the invitation that made him feel as though accepting it was probably the natural thing to do.
Even Petra, who had been watching them from somewhere nearby and had apparently been listening to their conversation the entire time, seemed to have already decided what Kouhei should do.
Petra raised both hands and gave him two enthusiastic thumbs up.
Kouhei stared at her for a moment.
Petra responded by giving him another encouraging nod, making her intentions painfully obvious.
She was practically telling him to go along with Aegis without having to say anything at all.
Kouhei still had his doubts, however.
He knew there was probably no realistic reason for Aegis to suddenly lure him somewhere just so she could kill him. Still, the possibility existed.
He did not genuinely believe that Aegis was planning to kill him, but he also knew better than to throw caution away simply because someone looked harmless.
There was always something else to consider.
Kouhei eventually decided that the best course of action was to simply go along with it and see what happened.
"Sure," he said.
The answer came naturally enough, although there was still a small part of his mind wondering whether he had just walked into something that he would later regret.
For all Kouhei knew, Aegis might have simply wanted him to accompany her to her apartment because she wanted someone to walk with her. She could have meant nothing more complicated than having him accompany her until she reached her home, especially since the two of them had already spent the evening together.
With that possibility in mind, Kouhei followed her.
Aegis seemed unusually happy as they walked, and Kouhei could not help noticing how much more energetic she looked compared with earlier. She appeared almost giddy, although she was trying her best to keep herself composed.
Kouhei found the whole thing somewhat strange.
He could not stop thinking about the fact that, right at that moment, there was a love egg device vibrating inside her.
The thought was bizarre enough that Kouhei had to wonder how he had ended up in a situation like this in the first place.
His own body and preferences had changed quite a bit recently, so he could not exactly pretend that he was completely unfamiliar with strange fetishes anymore. Even so, knowing that Aegis, of all people, was apparently into something like this was still rather mindboggling.
Aegis was a nun.
A nun.
Kouhei mentally repeated the fact to himself as they continued walking, as though repeating it might somehow make the situation easier to understand.
It did not.
Kouhei ended up staring at Aegis for longer than he intended while thinking about it, and apparently, he had been staring long enough for her to notice.
"Uh... w-what is it?" Aegis suddenly asked.
She looked at him with a bashful expression, clearly wondering why he had been looking at her for so long.
Kouhei realized that he had probably made his thoughts far too obvious through his expression.
"Ah, nothing," Kouhei quickly replied.
Aegis looked at him for another moment, but she eventually seemed satisfied enough with the answer and continued walking.
For the time being, Kouhei decided that there was nothing particularly wrong with going to Aegis's place.
Petra also appeared to be following them from a distance, which gave Kouhei at least some reassurance that he would not be completely alone if something unexpected happened.
The walk continued without anything particularly strange happening, and after a while, the two of them finally arrived at Aegis's apartment complex.
Kouhei looked around briefly before turning his attention toward Aegis.
"Now that I think about it, you are actually quite good with our language," Aegis said. "Did you study it before coming here?"
The question made sense considering how easily Kouhei had been speaking with her.
Most of their conversation had been in English, and Kouhei had been able to communicate without much difficulty. His fluency was probably noticeable enough that Aegis had become curious about where he had learned it.
"Well, yes," Kouhei answered. "It is something that I wanted to become good at, especially because I wanted to be able to communicate properly with the people here."
Kouhei had Yuuna to thank for that.
She had taught him how to speak the language fluently, and somehow, he had absorbed everything she taught him surprisingly quickly. He had picked up the lessons almost like a sponge absorbing water, which had made communicating with people in this place considerably easier than it otherwise would have been.
"I see," Aegis replied. "You really are fluent, so I wondered if you had been studying it since you were young."
"Mostly, yes," Kouhei answered.
"I see," Aegis said again.
Her response was simple, but Kouhei noticed that she seemed to be thinking about something else while they continued walking.
He could not quite tell what was going through her head.
Aegis occasionally glanced toward him, and although she would look away whenever their eyes met, there was something about her expression that made Kouhei think she was keeping a thought to herself.
After walking for a little longer, they finally reached the entrance of her apartment complex.
Kouhei stopped and looked toward the building.
"Well, this is it," he said.
"T-Thank you for bringing me home," Aegis replied.
"You are welcome," Kouhei said, giving her a small nod. "Well, then, I suppose I should head back."
Kouhei turned around, intending to leave.
He had barely taken a step when something caught his attention.
Petra was standing around the corner.
She was staring directly at him.
More importantly, she looked extremely dissatisfied.
Petra shook her head slowly, almost as though Kouhei had just committed some kind of unforgivable mistake.
Kouhei stopped walking.
He stared at Petra from a distance, trying to understand what she was attempting to communicate.
'What does she want me to do?' Kouhei wondered.
She shook her head again.
Kouhei looked at her with increasing confusion.
Before Kouhei could figure out what Petra was trying to communicate, Aegis suddenly called out.
"Um!"
Kouhei immediately stopped and turned around.
Aegis was standing just behind him.
She looked nervous again, almost as though she had something important to say but was struggling to find the courage to actually say it.
"D-Do you want to go inside to... have some tea?" she asked hesitantly. "Or perhaps coffee?"
Kouhei stared at her.
For a moment, he did not answer.
Then he looked toward Petra.
Petra was already giving him another enthusiastic thumbs up.
Kouhei's expression remained completely blank.
Petra nodded repeatedly.
The message could hardly have been clearer.
Kouhei had to stop himself from sighing.
At this point, it was beginning to feel like Petra was following him around specifically because she wanted to watch him go along with whatever she had decided was supposed to happen next.
He could not tell whether she was genuinely trying to help him with the date or simply enjoying the spectacle, but either way, she seemed determined to push him forward.
Kouhei eventually gave in.
"All right," he said. "I suppose having some tea or coffee would be fine."
Aegis's expression immediately brightened.
"Thank you," she said, sounding noticeably more relieved.
Kouhei followed her into the apartment.
The moment he crossed the threshold, however, something felt wrong.
He could not immediately explain what it was.
The atmosphere had changed.
Kouhei stopped for the briefest moment, his instincts suddenly becoming alert.
Aegis turned toward him.
Then she smiled.
It was not the same bashful smile she had worn earlier.
This one was different.
Kouhei immediately noticed the change.
Something about that smile made his instincts scream that he had just walked directly into a trap.
His eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at her.
Aegis continued smiling.
Kouhei's mind began putting the pieces together, and suddenly, the invitation to her apartment did not seem quite as innocent as he had originally assumed.
He was about to turn around.
He was about to run.
Before he could actually move, however, something suddenly happened.
Kouhei's thoughts became distorted.
His awareness began slipping away almost instantly, and his body stopped responding the way he wanted it to.
"What...?" Kouhei managed to mutter, his voice becoming increasingly weak.
His vision blurred.
His thoughts became sluggish.
The sensation was so sudden that he could barely understand what was happening to him, much less react properly.
Kouhei tried to move, but his body refused to cooperate.
His knees weakened beneath him.
His awareness continued fading as his mind struggled desperately to remain conscious.
Aegis's smile remained unchanged.
Kouhei's thoughts became increasingly distant, and within moments, the last fragments of his awareness finally disappeared.
His body collapsed.
Whatever Aegis had planned, Kouhei was no longer in any condition to ask her about it.
