Chapter 673: Chapter 673: Don’t Be Impatient

"Then wait in the car," Claire Sinclair said, pulling open the door of the car in front of her.

Theo Rhodes got in with her, calling out before he shut the door, "Hey, could you guys grab some water and food for my master and me? This young master is starving."

The squad leader immediately gave an order, "Go find water and food for the Young Madam."

"Yes, sir!"

When the water and food were brought to the car, Theo Rhodes immediately grabbed a bottle of mineral water and chugged half of it.

The food consisted of compressed biscuits. Claire Sinclair had no appetite and figured she wouldn’t be able to eat, so she passed them to Theo Rhodes. "You can have them. I’m not hungry."

"Well, don’t mind if I do. Master, you can just wait for Mr. Quincy to get back and have a big feast." Parched and ravenous, Theo Rhodes eagerly tore open the compressed biscuits, washing them down with water as he ate.

Claire Sinclair’s heart was in her throat. Her eyes were fixed on the gates of Ghost Town, and she grew more anxious with every passing moment.

Unable to bear it any longer, Claire Sinclair rolled down the car window and asked the squad leader, "Can you contact Mr. Quincy or Aiden Howkins?"

The squad leader replied, "We haven’t received any word from inside yet. The moment we do, I will report it to you immediately. Please try not to worry, Young Madam."

Claire Sinclair sighed and rolled the window back up.

Seeing her reaction, Theo Rhodes couldn’t help but comfort her. "Don’t worry, Master. Mr. Quincy is incredibly capable. He’ll definitely bring Hanson back safely."

Claire Sinclair glanced at him and simply nodded, not saying a word.

Time ticked by, second by second. Suddenly, a noise came from within Ghost Town. All eyes fixed on the exit, and everyone raised their weapons in unison.

When Claire Sinclair saw them all react, her own heart began to pound with tension.

After a few seconds, two people emerged, supporting each other as they walked. One of them was carrying a third person on their back.

Claire Sinclair recognized the face of the man being carried, and her heart clenched. She threw open the car door and scrambled out. "It’s Teacher Hartwell! Get a doctor over here! Hurry!"

Theo Rhodes got out from the other side of the car, and they both ran over, taking Henry Hartwell’s unconscious body from the two men.

The doctor rushed over, gave Henry Hartwell a quick examination, and then had him loaded into the ambulance.

Claire Sinclair wanted to go to the hospital with them, but she couldn’t stop worrying about the man still inside, so she hesitated.

Theo Rhodes immediately spoke up. "Master, let me go with Hanson to the hospital. You wait here."

"Okay. Call me if anything happens."

"Okay, I’m going." Wasting no time, Theo Rhodes hopped into the ambulance, and it sped away.

Only after it was gone did Claire Sinclair belatedly realize she didn’t have a phone.

’Oh well. I’ll worry about it later.’

She waited for what felt like an eternity. Growing more and more restless, Claire Sinclair felt she couldn’t just sit there and do nothing. She rolled down the window again and asked the squad leader, "Do you have all the exits to Hell’s Paradise covered?"

The squad leader nodded. "We have people staked out at all the known exits."

"In that case, could I borrow your phone? I need to write up a news story later and want to take some photos."

"Of course!" The squad leader, suspecting nothing, obediently handed over his phone and even told her the passcode.

Another hour went by, and still, no one emerged.

But then, Theo Rhodes returned. He was carrying a professional camera on his shoulder, and the logo made it clear it was from his news agency.

Claire Sinclair saw right through him at a glance—he must have had the same idea she did. She raised an eyebrow. "Weren’t you supposed to be at the hospital with Teacher Hartwell?"
