Chapter 674: Chapter 674: I Can’t Be the Only One Being Tortured

Theo Rhodes chuckled, "The doctor said Hanson just fainted from hunger. They’ve already put him on an IV, so it’s nothing serious. Besides, I’m sure Hanson would want us to get this story out. What do you think, Master?"

Claire Sinclair rolled her eyes at him, silently circled around behind him, and pulled the other contents out of his backpack, including a laptop.

Claire Sinclair took the laptop back to the car, booted it up, opened a Word document, and began prepping the story.

Theo Rhodes sat to one side, reviewing how to operate the DSLR camera.

Suddenly, the people outside raised their weapons again.

The two of them reacted instantly, turning around and getting out of the car.

People began to emerge one after another from the gates of Ghost Town. There were men and women; the youngest looked to be only twenty, while the oldest appeared to be over seventy.

Among them were several familiar faces. Some were even clients Claire Sinclair had interviewed in the past.

Theo Rhodes walked over with his DSLR, catching them off guard and snapping photos of several bigwigs.

When these people saw someone taking pictures, they immediately raised their hands to cover their faces.

But what was the point of hiding now?

Claire Sinclair walked over with her voice recorder and began interviewing people on the spot. Though most refused, a few arrogant young men and women, who clearly didn’t know any better, agreed to be interviewed.

After seven or eight minutes, the stream of people finally trickled to a stop. But aside from the clients who had come seeking pleasure, only a few plainclothes officers had emerged.

’Why isn’t Adrian out yet...?’ Claire Sinclair’s heart pounded with growing panic.

Theo Rhodes said while looking through the photos he’d taken, "Don’t worry, Master. Brother Quincy is definitely fine. If he’s so much as lost a single hair, I’ll pay you a hundred bucks. Stop worrying."

Claire Sinclair didn’t reply. No amount of comforting could soothe her deep-seated worry.

Just as her attention drifted, more people emerged from the exit!

It was Aiden Howkins!

He was injured!

Adrian Quincy was supporting Aiden Howkins by the shoulder as they staggered out. Behind them followed Helen Wallace and Quentin Zane, also leaning on each other for support. They were all covered in so much blood it was impossible to tell who was hurt.

Claire Sinclair couldn’t stop herself from running toward them, shouting, "Adrian, are you okay?!"

Seeing his wife’s face from a distance, Adrian Quincy’s tense brow gradually relaxed. "I’m fine," he said in a deep voice. "It’s Aiden who’s hurt."

"Thank God!" Claire Sinclair breathed a sigh of relief.

Faintly hearing the rattle of a gurney behind her, she immediately stepped aside to let the medics through to provide emergency treatment to the wounded.

After handing Aiden over to the medics, Adrian Quincy walked up to Claire Sinclair. He wanted to hug her but stopped, not wanting to stain her clothes with the blood on him.

Claire Sinclair, however, didn’t care about any of that. She threw herself into his arms and held him tight.

"If you’d taken any longer, I would have died from worry," she murmured into his chest, her tears soaking his shirt.

Adrian Quincy froze for a moment before raising his hands and carefully placing them on her shoulders. He rested his chin on her hair and said in a low voice, "I promised you nothing would happen. I’m fine."

Her only response was to hug him even tighter.

Just then, Theo Rhodes walked over. A camera shutter clicked, freezing the couple in a single frame.

The couple turned in unison to look at the beaming young man, saying nothing.

Theo Rhodes grinned. "Master, Master’s Husband, I want to post this on Weibo. You gonna let me?"

Before they could answer, he made the decision himself. "I’m posting it even if you say no. I can’t be the only one tortured by this PDA, heh heh heh..."

Claire Sinclair: "..."

Adrian Quincy: "..."
