Chapter 647: Chapter 647: Baby, I Won’t Abandon You
Unfortunately, the background music was too loud, and Claire Sinclair couldn’t quite hear what she was saying.
"What did you say?" Claire Sinclair asked loudly.
The woman thought she was trying to start something and raised her hand, ready to teach her a lesson.
Her eyes happened to fall on the ring on Claire Sinclair’s ring finger, and her face instantly turned pale with fright. She immediately switched to a fawning expression. "I’m sorry, I bumped into you, I’m sorry!"
After saying that, she turned and ran.
Claire Sinclair was completely baffled.
She looked around. With so many masked men, she couldn’t tell which one was him. She decided to leave the dance floor and wait by the entrance, figuring she could catch him on his way out.
After a moment’s thought, an idea suddenly occurred to Claire Sinclair. If she showed off the ring, he would probably recognize her more easily.
So, Claire Sinclair deliberately crossed her arms, making a point to show off the ring.
Strangely, everyone who walked past her suddenly sped up, fleeing as if they had seen a ghost.
’Is this ring really that scary?’
Claire Sinclair couldn’t figure it out and couldn’t be bothered to think about it. She just wanted Orion Osborne to come out and take her home.
After standing there for about seven or eight minutes, Orion Osborne still hadn’t appeared, and Claire Sinclair started to panic.
’In a place like this, if I lose contact with Orion, I’ll be all alone. Never mind my cover being blown—I’m penniless. What would I eat? Where would I sleep?’
’And I’m pregnant...’
’No, I have to find Orion.’
’Even if this man represents sin itself, for the sake of my baby, I have to stick with him until I’m safely away from here.’
Claire Sinclair bit her lip, turned around, and went back onto the dance floor. Weaving through the dense crowd, she finally climbed onto the DJ booth.
Faced with a panel of incomprehensible equipment, Claire Sinclair simply pulled a cable. The music screeched to a halt.
The revelers paused, looking toward the DJ booth with confusion or annoyance.
Claire Sinclair cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted, "Mr. Osborne, where are you?"
The moment she spoke, at least two pairs of eyes in the crowd stared at her in astonishment.
Orion Osborne was in a corner, talking business with someone. When he saw Claire Sinclair across the room, anxiously calling his name, he was suddenly reminded of her as a child, when she had once searched for him with the same panicked look.
"I’ll catch up with you later," Orion Osborne said to his associate. He pushed aside the people in front of him and walked in a straight line toward the DJ booth.
Claire Sinclair saw him approaching from a distance. Judging by his build and the lower half of his face, she was almost certain it was him. She hurried down from the DJ booth and went to meet him.
Halfway there, she thought she heard someone call out, "Master!" It sounded like Theo Rhodes’s voice, but when she looked, she felt like everyone looked the same. She couldn’t tell who had shouted. ’I must be hearing things,’ she thought.
Claire Sinclair quickly reached Orion Osborne and said excitedly, "I thought you’d left!"
Orion Osborne suddenly reached out, wrapped an arm around her slender waist, and pulled her into his embrace. His gaze was like a torch, fixed on her face, locking her eyes with his.
"Baby, I would never abandon you, hmm?" His deep, magnetic, and captivating voice was enough to stir countless young hearts.
Claire Sinclair was almost taken in by his voice. Fortunately, she was sharp enough to know he was acting, so she didn’t struggle, nor did she try to get any closer.
Just like that, Orion Osborne led her off the dance floor.
After the two of them left, someone hastily pushed through the crowd and followed them.
Only after confirming the room number they entered did Theo Rhodes turn back.
’That master of mine... doesn’t she know how dangerous this place is? What is she doing here?’
