Chapter 242: It’s Neva Turn To Protect Her Family!!!

A huge golden circle appeared behind her.

Then another.

Then another.

Within seconds, more than a hundred circles filled the sky over the valley. Hidden inside those circles were rustic gates that looked like they came from prehistoric times. Each gate was sealed up by golden chains, as if they were sealing some kind of horror within it.

They spun slowly, one inside another, covering the entire battlefield in golden light. The broken forest beneath them looked tiny compared to the massive formation Neva had created.

The lizard stared upward.

For the first time since the battle began, uncertainty appeared in its pale blue eyes.

"Sha Sha!!" Neva’s weapon vault is open!!

The golden circles flashed.

Hundreds of light weapons started appearing in the air.

They were not the small swords and hammers Neva had used against the weaker Battle Masters before the last time she used this skill. These weapons were huge.

Golden spears longer than trees.

Massive war hammers with heads as large as houses.

Wide axes that looked capable of splitting a hill in half.

Long chains covered in sharp hooks.

A giant glowing bow appeared behind Neva, its string pulled back by invisible force.

The entire sky had turned into an armoury.

Aria’s eyes widened as she stared upward.

"How much energy does she even have?"

Theodore’s face went pale.

"That is not the important question." He pointed at the giant weapons floating in the sky. "The important question is whether this entire valley will still exist after she is done."

The lizard did not wait for the weapons to fall.

It roared and raised all four limbs.

Green light exploded from its body.

The protective layer around its scales expanded outward, becoming a giant dome that covered more than half the valley. Thick layers of rock and green energy formed above it, creating a mountain-shaped shield.

The lizard had decided to defend.

"Sha Sha!!" Good choice. Stay still for Neva!!

As soon as her voice faded, the first spear fell.

It struck the green dome with enough force to shake the cliffs around the valley. The ground collapsed beneath the lizard’s feet, but the dome held.

Then the second spear fell.

Then twenty more weapons came down together.

The sky started to rain destruction.

Each weapon hit with the strength of a Platinum-Tier attack, but there were too many of them. The green shield started cracking under the repeated impacts. Pieces of rock the size of houses flew in every direction. The nearby cliffs started collapsing, sending landslides down into the valley.

The lizard roared angrily as it pushed more energy into its shield.

It refused to fall.

"ROAAARRR!!!"

A huge green beam erupted from the centre of its body.

The beam hit the sky, cutting through dozens of golden weapons at once. Spears melted. Axes exploded. Chains snapped apart and turned into harmless sparks.

The beam continued upward toward Neva.

"Sha Sha!!"

Neva’s body flashed.

She appeared behind the lizard in an instant.

Six golden chains descended from the sky and wrapped around the beast’s neck, legs, and tail. The chains pulled in different directions, trying to keep it from moving.

The lizard thrashed.

Its tail slammed across the valley.

BOOM!!!

A cliff on the far side exploded from the impact.

Neva barely raised a light shield in time, but the shockwave still sent her flying backwards through the air.

"Hiss!!" Big sister!! Rose hissed from the side, her body already preparing to move but stopped as she felt a hand on her scales.

"Don’t interrupt. It’s an important moment for Neva." Raiden spoke with a solemn face. He felt particular feedback from his bond with Neva.

It was the same type of feedback he felt when Woolie awakened his bloodline. But the difference was Woolie’s bloodline came from someone else; Neva’s bloodline was all hers.

But Neva stopped herself by forming a golden circle behind her back.

She landed on it heavily.

A little blood dripped from the side of her mouth.

For a few seconds, she did not move.

Raiden’s fingers tightened around Woolie’s body.

"Neva." His voice was calm, but Rose could feel the anger hiding beneath it. "You don’t have to prove anything. Come back; we will fight him together!!"

As much as he wanted her to awaken her bloodline, he valued her safety above all else.

Neva lowered her head.

The huge lizard below had already broken the chains and turned to face her again. Its body was covered in dozens of small wounds from the falling weapons, but the green protective energy was already healing them.

But when she looked back, she saw Woolie sleeping in Raiden’s arms. She saw the burns on his wool. She saw Raiden looking tired even while trying to stay strong for everyone else. Something inside her became hotter.

"Sha Sha!!" Neva shook her head as she continued to speak.

Big brother always protected Neva. Rai Rai always protected Neva. Even Sister Rose always protected Neva. But Neva is not a baby anymore!!

The pink mark on her back pulsed.

A strange heat spread through her entire body.

Her six eyes began glowing with gold and hot pink light at the same time, while the giant circles in the sky rotated faster and faster. The light weapons that had been broken moments ago did not disappear.

But this time, they did not become swords, spears, or hammers.

They became one giant weapon.

A massive golden blade slowly formed above the valley.

It was so large that its shadow covered the entire battlefield. The edge of the blade was hot pink, glowing with poisonous light, while golden flames ran across its surface like veins.

The Diamond-Tier lizard looked up.

For the first time, it took a step backwards.

"Sha Sha..." Neva’s voice was quiet now, but it carried clearly through the entire valley.
