Rose tilted her head and looked on in confusion as her sister started to gear up for the fight.

"Hiss??" Weren’t we supposed to take care of the enemy together??

Rose tilted her head and looked on in confusion as her sister started to gear up for the fight.

"Hiss??" Weren’t we supposed to take care of the enemy together??

"Sha Sha!!" No, stay back; this prey is mine!!

Neva’s words stunned Rose so much that she actually stopped moving for a moment.

Her sister, who usually spent most of her time clinging to Raiden’s shoulder, eating snacks, arguing with Woolie, and asking everybody to praise her, was suddenly standing in front of a Diamond-Tier monster while calling it prey.

Rose looked at the huge green lizard covered in thick scales and sharp horns. Then she looked back at Neva, who was barely Gold Tier.

"Hiss Hiss..." Big sister, that thing is very strong. It can hurt you.

"Sha Sha!!" So what?! Big brother Woolie is hurt because we were too weak to protect him. Rai Rai is tired because he had to save him. I won’t be weak anymore!!

The words made Rose go silent.

Behind them, Raiden also stopped moving.

He had been preparing to step in because Neva had nearly been hit by the lizard’s cream-coloured blast, but after hearing her words, his expression changed slightly. He could see the anger in Neva’s eyes. It wasn’t the playful anger she showed when Woolie ate her snacks or when Rose teased her.

This anger was different.

It was deep.

It was the anger of someone who had watched her family get hurt and hated herself for not being able to do more.

The huge lizard let out a low growl as it stared at the white spider in front of it. Its pale blue eyes narrowed, and green acid dripped from the edge of its mouth, burning holes into the ground wherever it landed.

It had been a long time since anyone had challenged it like this.

For dozens of years, it had spent time with the Stormwind family patriarch. He only had one mission when he came to this private realm: not to let anyone get access to the treasure at any cost, except for those 4 young men.

Every competitor who made it this far either turned around when they felt its pressure or got sent flying after one attack. The few Gold-Tier Battle Masters who tried to fight it had never lasted more than a few seconds.

Yet this tiny Gold-Tier spider was standing there in front of it, was already able to harm him successfully. Surrounded by broken trees and burning craters, she looked at it like it was a fat insect she wanted to squash.

"ROAAARRR!!!"

The lizard slammed its claws into the ground.

BOOM!!!

A violent green shockwave erupted outward. The entire valley shook as the ground split apart in dozens of directions, giant cracks spreading like a spiderweb beneath Neva’s legs. Thick pillars of stone shot out from underground, each one covered in green corrosion that melted trees the moment it touched them.

"Neva!!" Aria shouted in panic.

"Sha Sha!!" Too slow!!

Neva’s body disappeared.

She did not dodge by running. A golden flash covered her body, and she appeared above one of the stone pillars as if she had teleported. The pillar beneath her hissed and melted from its own corrosive energy, but Neva simply jumped again before it could touch her.

Every time her feet landed somewhere, a small golden circle appeared beneath them.

One.

Two.

Three.

Four.

More circles appeared across the sky as Neva moved through them at a speed that made Theodore’s eyes struggle to follow.

"She is using her light circles to change direction in the air..." Theodore muttered, his mouth hanging open. "She can move anywhere as long as she has a circle to step on."

Raiden watched Neva zip across the battlefield, leaving bright golden trails in the air.

"Wow." A small smile appeared on his face. "I didn’t even know she could do that. Go Neva!! Show him what you are made of!!"

The lizard’s eyes followed Neva’s movements for a few seconds before it opened its mouth again.

This time, it did not fire one beam.

It fired dozens.

BOOM!!

BOOM!!

BOOM!!

Cream-coloured acid beams shot across the battlefield, each one wide enough to destroy a building. They cut through the cliffs surrounding the valley, turning chunks of stone into boiling sludge. One beam passed through a huge boulder, and the entire thing vanished as if it had never existed.

Neva moved through the sky between the beams.

A blast came from the left, and she jumped through a golden circle. Another came from the right, and she spun around in midair. A third beam came directly toward her face.

"Sha Sha!!" Stop trying to spit on Neva!!

She waved two of her front limbs as a light shield appeared in front of her.

The beam slammed into it.

CRACK!!

The shield broke instantly.

But it had slowed the beam down enough.

Neva twisted her body and let it pass by her cheek, the heat from it burning a few strands of white fur on the side of her head.

Her eight eyes widened.

For a brief moment, she looked down at the burnt fur floating through the air.

Then a very dangerous expression appeared on her face.

"Sha Sha..." You burned Neva’s fur.

The entire battlefield seemed to become quiet.

Even the lizard paused for a moment.

Theodore looked at Raiden.

"Why do I suddenly feel bad for it?"

"Because you should." Raiden nodded seriously. "That thing made a terrible mistake."

Neva landed on one of the golden circles floating high in the sky.

The pink spider mark on her back started glowing brighter.

At first, it was only a small light, then the light spread through her body.

Thin golden lines appeared beneath her white fur, running along all eight limbs before climbing toward her head. They connected together above her eyes, making the crown-shaped pattern on her head shine more brightly than before.

The pressure coming from her body changed. It was still not as large as the Diamond-Tier lizard’s pressure, but it was sharper, like a needle pressed against the skin.

"Sha Sha..." Neva was being too nice before. But not anymore!!

A huge golden circle appeared behind her.
