Chapter 125: Chapter 125: Klein Doesn’t Make Unprofitable Deals

The three of them entered the dimension again, finding the three little dragon cubs having the time of their lives playing in the rice paddies. The pale golden female cub was even using an ear of rice as a swing. They didn’t seem to be negatively affected by the dimension at all.

Ophelia was finally certain that the system really didn’t classify the dragon cubs as an invasive species. As for the reason, it could be because the cubs carried her bloodline, or perhaps because they were born inside the dimension itself. Regardless of which it was, this was fantastic news for them.

"That’s great," Zerev said. He bent down to pet the cubs, letting out a sigh of relief when he found them in perfect condition.

"Then should we let the cubs live in the dimension for now?" Ophelia suggested.

Tyler nodded in agreement. Then, both of their gazes fell upon Zerev. After all, he was the cubs’ father; he had the most say in the matter.

"Since there is no danger to the cubs here, let them stay," Zerev replied. "Once the aura of the Dragon Beast on them fades, we’ll take them out. That might just help them evade being captured by the Dragon Stone."

"Alright, then it’s settled," Ophelia agreed.

After making their decision, the three of them exited the dimension. Since they were still out in the open and had just experienced such a chaotic event, disappearing for too long would raise suspicions among Moye and the others.

This time, upon exiting the dimension, Ophelia didn’t stop them. Soon enough, Moye hurried over with a few males in tow. Seeing that Zerev was uninjured, a heavy weight was finally lifted off Moye’s shoulders.

"Young Master, it’s a relief that you’re alright."

Moye was about to say more when a sudden THUD echoed as a heavy body hit the ground.

Everyone turned toward the sound and saw Tyler collapsed on the floor. Ophelia and Zerev rushed to crouch beside him. Ophelia’s heart skipped a beat when she saw his pale face and purple lips.

At that moment, Klein and Laxus also hurried over. Seeing that Ophelia was safe, both breathed a simultaneous sigh of relief. However, when Klein noticed Tyler cradled in Ophelia’s arms, a flash of disappointment crossed his eyes. He quickly masked it, replacing it with a look of deep concern.

"Ophelia, is Tyler injured?" Klein asked. "It will take you several days to return to your territory from here. Since the White Tiger Clan is the closest, you should bring him to my place and have our clan doctor take a look first."

With no better options at hand, Ophelia nodded in agreement.

Because time was of the essence and a life was on the line, Zerev immediately transformed into his dragon form. Carrying Ophelia, Tyler, and Klein, he rushed toward the White Tiger Clan.

The Winged Dragon was incredibly fast, arriving at the White Tiger Clan in just half an hour.

Klein settled Zerev and the others in his own stone house before ordering a nearby male, "Go fetch the clan doctor, quickly!"

The male nodded hastily and sprinted out without daring to delay a second.

The clan doctor soon arrived carrying a medicine box. Living up to the reputation of the White Tiger Clan, his medical skills were far superior to those of the Golden Dragon Clan’s doctors. He even knew how to take a pulse. After carefully checking Tyler’s pulse, the clan doctor reached a conclusion.

"Clan Leader, My Lady, this male has been poisoned."

"Poisoned?" Zerev and Klein exchanged looks of sheer disbelief. "How could this happen?"

Ophelia recalled what Loki had said earlier. "Loki poisoned Tyler. Do you have a way to cure him?"

The clan doctor frowned and remained silent, his eyes repeatedly darting toward Klein.

Seeing this, Zerev’s voice turned ice-cold. "Since you can tell that Tyler has been poisoned, you must know the cure. Speak up now. How do we detoxify him? If you dare to hide anything, you can prepare to be buried alongside him."

As soon as the oppressive aura of a Dragon Beast radiated from Zerev, the clan doctor, who possessed little combat strength to begin with, dropped to his knees in terror.

Klein, understanding the situation, sighed. "Speak."

The clan doctor bowed his head. "I don’t know how to create an antidote, but the kidney of a Tiger Beast from the White Tiger Clan can cure any poison. As long as he consumes a Tiger Beast’s kidney, his poison will naturally be neutralized."

Zerev was astonished. "If you cut out a Tiger Beast’s kidney, won’t he die?"

Since the secret was already out, the clan doctor laid everything bare. "The White Tiger Clan has a Secret Technique to cut open a Tiger Beast’s abdomen and remove a kidney. Moreover, everyone has two kidneys; a person can still survive after losing one."

Hearing the clan doctor’s words, it felt as if a thunderbolt had struck Ophelia’s mind. She wondered if the White Tiger Clan’s medical skills were truly this advanced. They could actually perform surgery? They could open an abdomen to extract a kidney?

"Is there any danger to this Secret Technique?" Ophelia asked.

The clan doctor shook his head. "The White Tiger Clan possesses a Secret Technique that might just preserve the life of the Tiger Beast giving up their kidney."

Ophelia fell silent. This meant trading another person’s life for Tyler’s.

Seeing that Ophelia couldn’t make a decision, Zerev turned to Klein. "Go tell the males of the White Tiger Clan that whoever is willing to donate a kidney will have my guarantee of wealth for three generations, along with a purple Crystal Stone as a reward."

"Klein, are there any heinous criminals in your tribe?" Ophelia asked, clinging to a sliver of hope.

Hearing this, the clan doctor hastily added, "My Lady, only the pure body of an unbonded male can provide a viable kidney."

Zerev’s jawline tightened as he frowned in deep thought.

At that moment, Klein, who had remained silent all this time, finally spoke up. "No unbonded male will be willing to give up a kidney. The procedure is a near-death experience. Since their bloodlines have yet to be passed down, no one will volunteer."

Ophelia’s eyes filled with despair and sorrow as her gaze fell on Tyler’s pale face. Was she really going to lose him?

Suddenly, Tyler coughed up a mouthful of black blood.

Terrified, the clan doctor hurried forward to examine him. "My Lady, Clan Leader! The poison in Tyler’s system is worsening. If we don’t detoxify him immediately, even extracting a kidney will be useless!"

They were being given no time to think, but where on earth were they supposed to find a willing Tiger Beast?

"Ophelia, I am willing to donate a kidney, but I have one condition," Klein said.

Zerev’s heart sank; he had a feeling Klein was up to no good.

Ophelia looked at Klein with eyes full of hope, her voice hoarse. "As long as you’re willing to donate a kidney, I’ll agree to any condition. I can even provide the Tiger Clan with five thousand pounds of food for free."

Klein shook his head. "I don’t want your food. My condition is to become your bonded mate."

"What?" Ophelia’s lips trembled, unable to believe what she was hearing.

Beside them, the clan doctor shuddered internally.

"Of course, I won’t force you right now," Klein continued. "I just need your promise that if I survive the kidney extraction, you will bond with me."

Zerev didn’t say a word; he simply watched Ophelia.

Ophelia stared at Tyler’s pale lips and rasped, "Alright. I promise you."

Hearing her agreement, a joyful smile blossomed on Klein’s face. He then turned to Zerev, his expression turning solemn.

"Zerev, if I don’t survive this, I need your guarantee. The White Tiger Clan’s mines must not be swallowed up by neighboring tribes.

"Furthermore, you must support my sister in becoming the new Clan Leader.

"And, you must secure a City Lord male to be her mate."

Zerev narrowed his eyes. As expected, Klein never made a deal that would put him at a disadvantage. He had already secured an escape route for both the White Tiger Clan and his sister, Ali.
