I Can Level Up Infinitely
Chapter 317: The One Who Killed Sylus Moure
Boooooom!
The ground exploded with a loud sound. Ice spikes erupted wildly. But Snow had already distanced herself from the point of explosion. A few spikes still shot toward her, but she dodged them with ease.
Steven leaned forward excitedly. "My god! She is good. She is really good. That reaction speed. I take back what I thought earlier."
Snow rushed again. This time, the Frost Giant seemed prepared. Ice swirled in the air, morphing into another giant club. The Frost Giant swung the club at her, the weapon cutting through the air.
Snow jumped, soaring in the sky like a bird. Her movement was nimble and precise. The club struck the ground at the point where she was standing just moments ago.
Before the giant could pull the club back, Snow landed directly on the giant’s weapon. Then she started running over the club.
"She has guts!" Sol exclaimed. "Though it’s just her consciousness and she won’t suffer any real damage, to prepare herself to endure such pain and to even rush toward it... She isn’t your normal hunter, sis." Sol shook his head. "You are in real competition now."
The Frost Giant lifted its weapon, trying to throw her away. But Snow jumped from the club. She drew her hand back like a coiled spring.
Whoooooosh! Fire erupted, dancing around her fist madly.
And then... She unleashed it. Her fist shot forward.
Baaaaam!
The punch slammed into the giant’s face. Its head jerked back. Snow landed on its shoulder. Before the Frost Giant could grab her, she pushed herself away and flipped through the air. She landed several meters away.
The entire chamber had gone silent. Steven stared at the screen. His earlier disappointment had disappeared completely.
Snow hadn’t become stronger. Her opponent hadn’t become weaker either. She had just started showing what she was truly capable of.
The giant roared again and charged. Snow rushed toward it as well.
Bam!
Boom!
Bamm!
The two figures clashed repeatedly. Snow avoided the club by inches. She ducked beneath one swing, stepped beside the Frost Giant’s leg, and struck the damaged knee again.
Crack!
More ice shattered. The giant stumbled slightly.
Snow’s eyes flashed. She had been waiting for that. She jumped and spun in the air, fire erupting and engulfing her legs. Her leg slammed into the giant’s leg in that very same spot. The impact sent a tremor through the giant’s whole body. Fire also did its part. The thick ice layer melted a lot. The Frost Giant swung its arm to throw Snow away from it. Snow flipped in the air and dodged the attack. Her foot touched the ground only for a moment before she jumped forward, driving her knee in that same spot.
Penggggggg!
With a deafening crack, the giant’s leg finally gave way at the knee. Blood sprayed, painting the white ice on the ground.
The giant’s massive body tilted.
Boooooom!
The other knee slammed into the ground. It stopped itself from collapsing into the ground completely by placing both hands on the ground.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh." A roar escaped its mouth.
Snow wasn’t done. She jumped, landing on its head the next moment. The Frost Giant tried to shake her off, but Snow clung to it as if her life depended on it
And then suddenly...
Amidst the chaos...
She slammed both hands on its head.
The giant’s eyes widened. A dread gripped its heart.
Snow chuckled. "Incinerate." She shouted.
Her mana surged instantly like a tidal wave. Something swirled inside the giant. It felt as if its inside was being eaten alive.
Boooooooom!
A massive burst of fire exploded outward, swirling into a hellish tornado the next moment. Snow didn’t leave. She stayed there, her legs wrapped around the giant’s neck.
"Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr." The giant howled in pain. It started to move violently, trying to throw Snow away. But she wouldn’t even budge.
The giant’s thrashing slowed until it didn’t move at all. The blazing fire also cooled down, totally vanishing eventually. Other than charred ash, nothing remained.
The battlefield became silent. Snow stood there, breathing heavily. Then the world around her started disappearing.
Steven stared at the screen without blinking. "Peak A-Class." He whispered and then looked at Jason. "Mr. Flemming. Where did you find her? Is she going to join your Phantom Legion or a separate guild?"
"You can ask that question to her directly," Jason replied casually. But he was staring at the screen with interest, too.
Sol looked at Leon. "Bro. Now it’s your turn."
Leon nodded.
The light surrounding Snow’s real body vanished. Her eyes regained focus. Snow blinked once before looking around. Then she looked at her own body. There was no injury left. Even the exhaustion had vanished.
"A-Class," Steven announced. "You can head to the reception desk directly for your license."
"Nah, I will wait. I wouldn’t want to miss the show now." Snow grinned.
"What show?" Steven asked, slightly baffled.
"You will know soon enough," Snow said mysteriously.
Steven looked confused but didn’t press it further. He turned toward Leon. "It’s your turn now. Step ahead and place your hand on the monolith."
"Can it detect Qi?" Leon asked.
"You are a cultivator?" Steven frowned slightly.
"Yes."
"Then you have to..." Steven started, but before he could finish, Jason interjected. "I have the military clearance. Here." He raised his phone and showed a signed document to Steven. Steven stepped closer and examined it. "Alright, Mr. Flemming. So only the second test, then?"
"Yes." Jason nodded.
"Alright then. Stand on that platform." Steven said to Leon.
Leon nodded and walked ahead. He stood on the circular platform. Immediately, a beam of light swallowed him.
Snow, Emily, and Sol already knew what Leon was capable of. But they still couldn’t suppress the excitement to see him in action again.
Jason, meanwhile, crossed his arms over his chest. ’It’s finally time to see what you are capable of. Show me the strength of the young man who killed Sylus Moure.’ He mused inwardly.
