Outside the Secret Realm, David and the other three Sovereign Realm cultivators stood near the entrance, patiently waiting for the remaining participants to come out.

The entrance looked like a massive tear in space, with faint ripples spreading across its edges. From time to time, a figure would emerge from within and land safely on the ground outside.

Soon, four familiar figures appeared.

Mu Qingying, Mu Shaobei, Bai Ningning and Qin Wushang had finally returned.

Seeing that their children had come out safely, the three Sovereign Realm cultivators standing beside David secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Although they were powerful cultivators who stood above countless others, they were still parents. No matter how much confidence they had in their children’s abilities, there was always a difference between hearing that they were safe and seeing them with their own eyes.

The four young cultivators walked toward their respective families. Mu Bai looked at his daughter and son before turning his attention to the entrance.

"Where is Mo Yuan?"

He had expected Mo Yuan to come out with the others but the young man was nowhere to be seen.

Looking at the still-open entrance, Mu Bai frowned slightly.

Hearing his question, Mu Qingying replied, "Father, Mo Yuan said he wanted to stay behind for a little longer. He told us he would come out in a minute."

Mu Bai nodded.

The other Sovereign Realm cultivators did not seem particularly concerned either. They had all witnessed Mo Yuan’s strength during his time in Cang Lan Base. Even among the younger generation, he was an existence far beyond the ordinary.

Furthermore, the Secret Realm was only a place where Peak Realm beasts could be found. As long as Mo Yuan did not encounter some unexpected situation, they believed he could handle anything inside.

Two minutes later, a figure finally emerged from the spatial entrance.

It was Mo Yuan.

A small golden mouse was sitting comfortably on his shoulder, its tiny paws gripping his clothes.

Mo Yuan glanced around and immediately noticed the four Sovereign Realm cultivators waiting outside. He walked toward them without hesitation.

David’s eyes lit up when he saw him. However, the moment Mo Yuan came closer, David sensed the young man’s aura and raised his eyebrows in surprise.

"Looks like you had a good harvest inside the Secret Realm."

The other three Sovereign Realm cultivators also turned their attention toward Mo Yuan. Their expressions changed slightly as they sensed his cultivation.

When Mo Yuan had entered the Secret Realm, he had only been at the Mid Origin Soul Realm. Now, in just one month, he had reached the Peak Origin Soul Realm.

Even though they knew that the Secret Realm contained valuable treasures, such progress was still astonishing.

Mo Yuan smiled and rubbed the back of his head.

"It was alright, Senior David. I found a few useful things."

David chuckled at his modest reply but did not press him for details.

Before he could say anything else, Mu Bai spoke up.

"You really are a monster, Mo Yuan. When you left, you were only at the Mid Origin Soul Realm. Now you have reached the Peak Origin Soul Realm, just one step away from the Origin Lord Realm."

As he spoke, Mu Bai glanced at his son, Mu Shaobei, before looking back at Mo Yuan.

Both were young geniuses and both had entered the Secret Realm with the same opportunity. Yet the difference between their progress was like the distance between heaven and earth.

Mu Shaobei was certainly talented but compared to Mo Yuan, he seemed ordinary.

Mu Bai could not help but sigh inwardly.

The other Sovereign Realm cultivators nodded in agreement. Reaching the Peak Origin Soul Realm was already difficult but the final stage was especially troublesome.

After tempering their meridians, cultivators had to temper their bone marrow, a process that caused immense pain.

Many cultivators needed months or even years to complete it. Some were forced to stop their cultivation for long periods because they could not endure the suffering.

Yet Mo Yuan had completed the process in only thirty days.

However none of them knew that he had already opened seventy-one minor meridians. Their Origin Sense could not reveal such details and they had no reason to investigate him so closely.

Hearing Mu Bai’s praise, Mo Yuan smiled politely.

"Thank you for the praise, Senior Mu."

While the adults were talking, David’s gaze suddenly shifted toward the golden mouse resting on Mo Yuan’s shoulder.

He stared at it for a moment before speaking with surprise.

"Wait a moment. Is that a Peak Realm beast? Mo Yuan, did you tame another beast inside the Secret Realm?"

The moment David said this, the other three Sovereign Realm cultivators also turned their attention toward the little creature.

Four powerful auras swept over the golden mouse.

The poor mouse immediately stiffened.

It had been living comfortably inside the Secret Realm for years, where it could search for treasures and avoid troublesome opponents.

It had never expected to leave that place only to find itself surrounded by four terrifying human cultivators.

Under their gazes, it felt as though four enormous monsters were staring directly at it.

Tiny beads of sweat appeared on its forehead.

It desperately wanted to hide inside Mo Yuan’s clothes but it did not dare move.

Mo Yuan noticed its reaction and smiled.

"Yes, Senior David. I found this little fellow inside the Secret Realm. It’s a Peak Realm beast but its body is quite small. I thought I might as well bring it out. It could help protect my younger sister in the future."

David nodded after hearing his explanation. He did not find anything strange about Mo Yuan wanting to keep a beast to protect his family.

At that moment, Bai Chuan spoke.

"Since you already have a beast, there’s no need for you to visit the Beast Association. I’ll register it for you personally."

Mo Yuan’s eyes brightened slightly.

"Thank you, Senior Bai."

This saved him a trip. Otherwise, he would have needed to visit the Beast Association and complete the registration himself.

Bai Chuan waved his hand casually, indicating that it was nothing important.

David then looked toward the Secret Realm entrance.

"There are still five people who haven’t come out. Let’s wait another twenty minutes. If they still don’t appear, we’ll close the entrance."

Everyone nodded and continued waiting.

However, twenty minutes passed without a single person emerging from the Secret Realm.

David’s expression became serious.

"Since no one else has come out, it’s time to close the entrance."

Qin Jiang stepped forward. With a wave of his hand, a sphere appeared before him. It was the same treasure he had used to open the Secret Realm’s entrance a month earlier.

He raised his hand and directed the sphere toward the spatial tear.

A faint light flashed.

The edges of the entrance began to tremble before rapidly drawing together. Within moments, the enormous tear in space disappeared, leaving nothing behind but an empty stretch of air.

The Secret Realm had officially closed.

Qin Jiang returned to the group and David looked at the remaining young cultivators.

"The Secret Realm expedition is over. You may all leave now."

The young cultivators bowed respectfully toward the Sovereign Realm experts before departing one after another.

Soon, only Mo Yuan, the four Sovereign Realm cultivators and their children remained.

Mo Yuan glanced at the empty space where the entrance had been.

’Fifty-five people entered but only fifty came out. Five people died inside.’

He shook his head slightly.

Although the mortality rate was relatively low for an expedition into a place filled with powerful beasts, those five people had not been ordinary cultivators. They had all been selected from countless geniuses across the human bases.

Losing five talented individuals was still a considerable loss.

With a wave of his hand, the Primordial Qi vehicle appeared in the air. The boat-shaped vessel floated above the ground, its surface glowing faintly as Primordial Qi flowed through its formations.

The group rose into the air and landed on the deck.

Once everyone was aboard, David moved toward the front of the vessel.

"Time to return to Cang Lan Base."

The boat trembled slightly before accelerating into the sky. In the blink of an eye, it left the Secret Realm’s location behind and headed toward the distant Cang Lan Base.
