I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate

Chapter 681 377: A Preliminary Test (Part 2)

By visiting a few more Public Planets, Su Ze would also have a better chance of finding suitable upgrade materials for himself.

His Evolutionary Sense ability allowed him to detect suitable upgrade materials from a great distance. All he really had to do was take a stroll through the market to get a clear idea.

He also wanted to let Lin Hua and the others gain some experience. That way, when he put them in charge of resource procurement in the future, they would have more options to choose from.

However, there was another reason Su Ze kept to himself.

He wanted to see how many gangs of Star Pirates were lying in wait along their route.

This was, in a way, reconnaissance for a future operation.

...

「Two days later.」

The spaceship landed on Thousand Illusion Star.

Once again, Su Ze and the Pope went out to handle the procurement, while Lin Hua and the other two remained on the spaceship.

This being his second time on Thousand Illusion Star, Su Ze knew his way around and headed straight for the market district.

He hadn't sensed any suitable upgrade materials for himself here last time, and this visit was no different.

The two went to the commercial district, found a shop offering fair prices, and sold off a good number of low-tier resources.

Next, they used the electronic map's search function to locate all the Disguise Divine Artifacts on the market, as well as any seventh-tier Dark or Shadow Element Evolution Crystals suitable for crafting hidden weapons.

Neither of these items was common, and supplies were limited. Su Ze bought up everything he could find on the market that was reasonably priced.

But all he managed to get were two seventh-tier Disguise Divine Artifacts and three Dark or Shadow Element Evolution Crystals.

Su Ze immediately went to a forging machine, combined the three Evolution Crystals with seventh-tier Shadow Stones, and forged three seventh-tier hidden weapons.

Specifically, a sleeve arrow, a throwing knife, and a dart.

The fee for using the forging machine depended on the tier of the items being created. The price Su Ze paid to forge three seventh-tier Divine Artifacts was enough to buy half of one.

After forging the Divine Artifacts, Su Ze immediately returned to the Magic Cube and departed from Thousand Illusion Star.

He gave the three seventh-tier hidden weapons to Lin Hua's group, one for each of them. The three were overjoyed with their new Divine Artifacts, unable to put them down and itching to find an enemy to test them on.

As for the Disguise Divine Artifacts, they only had two for now, so he gave them to Lin Hua and Old Waller to use.

「A few days later.」

Su Ze and his party landed on Saturn.

This time, everyone except Tano disembarked from the ship.

The party of four, all disguised as members of the Nian Race, strode confidently through the crowd.

Lin Hua and Old Waller were filled with a sense of novelty. They tried not to gawk to avoid attracting attention, but they couldn't stop their eyes from darting all over the place.

It was the first time either of them had ever seen living aliens!

Saturn was a unique Public Planet. Its commercial district wasn't built on the surface, but on the planetary rings that encircled it.

To see the entire Saturn commercial district, you had to fly a full circle around the planet.

Saturn was more prosperous and developed than Thousand Illusion Star, with a much wider variety of resources.

As soon as Su Ze stepped into the market, he sensed the presence of suitable upgrade materials.

The next step was the usual routine: sell low-tier resources and purchase Evolution Crystals and Disguise Divine Artifacts.

This time, however, Su Ze deliberately had Lin Hua and Old Waller do the talking, letting them take the lead on several transactions.

The market on Saturn was larger and could absorb more goods, so Su Ze was bolder with his sales. He split his wares among several shops and sold off a large volume of low-tier resources.

He even sold the Female Bag Race's Nursing Bag.

As an eighth-tier, space-element material, the Female Bag Race's Nursing Bag was quite valuable. However, it was damaged, and Su Ze couldn't be bothered to repair it himself, so he decided to just sell it off.

Su Ze used the money from selling the Nursing Bag to purchase several suitable upgrade materials for himself, and he still had funds to spare.

He had surprisingly found four materials on Saturn that triggered his senses, and Su Ze wasn't about to pass them up. He bought them all.

After leaving Saturn, Su Ze and his group visited three more Public Planets in succession. They sold off all the low-tier resources they intended to part with and forged another twenty seventh-tier hidden weapons.

Even after all that, Su Ze still had plenty of Shadow Stones left. The main issue was a lack of suitable Evolution Crystals; otherwise, he could have forged many more hidden weapons.

He had also managed to stockpile over a dozen seventh-tier Disguise Divine Artifacts.

The basic equipment for the Starry Sky Justice Guard Team was now more or less assembled. The biggest problem was a lack of personnel.

Including Su Ze as the captain, they currently only had three Star Gods. That was definitely not enough.

The resource procurement was complete. It was time to head back.

On the way out, Su Ze had actually used the Magic Cube's detection system to spot several groups lurking in the shadows.

He had traveled directly to major Public Planets on this trip. As the commercial hubs of the universe, these planets attracted heavy traffic, so it was natural that the surrounding routes had a higher chance of hosting Star Pirates.

However, the Magic Cube had been flying at full speed the entire time, making no effort to hide its status as a Sun God-level Spaceship. As a result, no one had dared to make a move on it.

Clearly, these Star Pirates generally didn't have the guts to attack a Sun God-level Spaceship.

On the return trip, however, Su Ze planned to go "fishing." He would slow down their flight speed.

He even put the Magic Cube away entirely, switching to the Nebula instead.

However, even a Moon God-level Spaceship was not something many weaker Star Pirate gangs would dare to attack. To lure out the weakest of the weak, Su Ze deliberately slowed the Nebula's flight speed, keeping it at the level of a Star God-level Spaceship.
