I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate
Chapter 680 377: A Preliminary Trial
There were three conditions for the eighth evolution:
1. All skills had to be upgraded to Tier 7 Divine Skills or higher.
2. One must master at least one Moon God-level skill, also known as a Tier 8 Divine Skill.
3. One's Origin Gene had to be perfected to a certain degree.
Compared to others, Su Ze had an additional fourth condition: Plunder and obtain a new Tier 8 skill.
Su Ze had already fulfilled the second and third conditions. He possessed the Tier 8 skill, Space Travel, had absorbed some of the other races' Origin Genes left behind by Mr. Ao in the Inheritance Crystal, and had also plundered the Origin Gene of the Female Bag Race.
Although his own race's Origin Gene was only about 11% complete, far from the Moon God's minimum requirement of 20%, the vast amount of plundered Origin Genes from other races was enough to make up for this difference.
Now, if he wanted to continue increasing his strength, he could only strive to meet the first and fourth conditions: upgrade all his skills to Tier 7 or higher and obtain a new skill.
Upgrading skills was nothing more than skill fusion and reinforcement through absorbing materials.
Su Ze didn't have many skills left that he could continue to fuse. For skills like Ant Power, Su Ze found their tiers too low, making the returns from fusion insignificant.
To upgrade his skills, it was more efficient to go out and search for upgrade materials.
For instance, on his last trip, he had upgraded two skills, and Space Jump had even been upgraded to the Tier 8 Divine Skill, Space Travel.
Similarly, to obtain new skills, he also had to go out and find opportunities. He couldn't just invent a new skill out of thin air while cooped up at home.
For the next few days, Su Ze rested briefly in the underground base on Zexing, which also gave Lin Hua some time to prepare.
Lin Hua was excited about his first trip into space. Over the past few days, he had called over Old Waller and Tano, and the three of them planned to go out and see the universe together on this trip.
「Half a month passed in the blink of an eye.」
Lin Hua and the other two were packed and ready, just waiting for Su Ze's order to depart.
On this day, Su Ze finally ended his seclusion. He had used this time to fuse the Eye of Truth skill into his Gravity Domain, successfully upgrading Gravity Domain to a Tier 7 Divine Skill as well.
Gravity Domain (Tier 7 Divine Skill): Creates a domain where the user can control gravity and release Sleep Poison. Grants All-Purpose Perception of everything within the domain. Any unit using invisibility that enters the domain will be forcibly revealed and marked for ten minutes. Perception Tentacles can be extended outside the domain. Gravity Chains can be fired at any target discovered by the tentacles, pulling the target to any location within the domain.
At this point, Su Ze had no more skills he could readily fuse. He prepared to set off once again to search the universe for skill upgrade materials.
This trip had three objectives: first, to familiarize Lin Hua with the routes; second, to find suitable upgrade materials for himself; and third, to make some preparations for his future Starry Night Constable enterprise.
As soon as they saw Su Ze emerge from his seclusion, Lin Hua and the other two gathered around and asked, "Star Lord, when are we departing?"
Su Ze knew they couldn't wait. After working on Zexing for hundreds of years, they were probably going stir-crazy.
He smiled. "We're leaving now. Is everything ready?"
"Everything's ready. All the resources for sale have been packed and are just waiting to be loaded onto the ship."
"We've also handed over our current work to our subordinates."
"Good." Su Ze nodded. The main things they were selling this time were the huge pile of low-tier resources he had obtained from plundering the Bag Race Planet.
Zexing itself was already rich in low-tier resources. Of these plundered resources, they kept the ones that were scarce on Zexing and prepared the rest for sale.
In addition, Zexing had also produced a considerable amount of low-tier resources recently, which could also be sold.
Currently, Zexing's resource production capacity was in surplus, with supply exceeding demand. After all, the total population was only thirty thousand, and some of them weren't even evolvers.
As for the Tier 7 and higher resources Su Ze had acquired, he had no intention of selling them, even if no one could use them at the moment.
The number of god-level experts on Zexing would only increase in the future, and some of these resources might be useful then.
The current strategy was still to trade large quantities of low-tier resources for the high-tier resources needed for Zexing's development.
For this trip, Su Ze was still bringing the Pope, but Mr. Ya wasn't coming along this time.
Su Ze had told Mr. Ya about his idea of forming a "Starry Sky Guard Team," and Mr. Ya was now dead set on becoming a Star God as quickly as possible, following Su Ze to plunder—no, to combat the criminal activities of Star Pirates.
With them gone, Hei would be the only Star God on Zexing. However, that wasn't a big issue. With Die around, she could still keep Hei completely in line.
For this journey, Su Ze also brought the Nebula, intending to let Lin Hua and the others try piloting the ship themselves on the return trip.
The Magic Cube departed from Zexing once more, heading toward the Public Planet, Thousand Illusion Star.
Along the way, Su Ze explained the itinerary for this trip to Lin Hua and the others.
"Our first stop is Thousand Illusion Star. When we get there, you all are to stay on the ship and wait for me. I'm going to buy some Disguise Divine Artifacts first and sell off some of our low-tier resources.
"After that, we'll leave Thousand Illusion Star and head to the second Public Planet, 'Saturn,' which is the closest one. Once we're there, you'll come down with me. We'll sell more resources and purchase some high-tier resources that we need.
"Next, we'll go to the third Public Planet..."
On this trip, Su Ze's target wasn't just Thousand Illusion Star. He planned to visit several places to familiarize himself with more Public Planets.
They had far too many low-tier resources to sell. Selling them all in one place would inevitably attract unwanted attention, so it was safer to spread out the sales.
