I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate
Chapter 679 376: A Good Startup Project: Starry Night Constable (3)
After the meeting, Su Ze took stock of his gains from the trip. He suddenly realized that while he had set out to procure supplies and forge an eighth-rank Divine Artifact, he hadn't actually lost anything. In fact, he'd come back with even more…
He had taken a large amount of low-rank resources, exchanged them all for high-rank ones, and then plundered the Bag Race Planet, scraping together hundreds of times more low-rank resources than he had originally brought with him.
He had brought a large piece of Shadow Stone to trade for an eighth-rank Evolution Crystal. He got the crystal, and in the end, the Shadow Stone was even returned to him.
He had only given up a piece of Shadow Jade and the seventh-rank Divine Artifact, the Storm Horn, to obtain the eighth-rank Divine Artifact, the Shadowless Needle. And that wasn't even mentioning the pile of spoils he had acquired after killing the Bag Race couple.
The Moon God-level Spaceship alone was an incredible windfall!
'Being a Star Pirate is really profitable!'
In a way, he had basically made a guest appearance as a Star Pirate this time, robbing the Bag Race couple and the Bag Race Planet.
This haul made Su Ze entertain the idea of becoming a Star Pirate himself.
And as it happened, he now had a pirate ship.
'No, I wouldn't be a Star Pirate. I'd be a Starry Night Constable, fighting criminals and lawbreakers! A righteous endeavor!'
Su Ze had a sudden epiphany. Being a Star Pirate might be profitable, but being a Starry Night Constable would be even more so!
Being a Star Pirate was risky; it was easy to run into powerful individuals you couldn't afford to offend.
It would also ruin your reputation. One only had to look at the Bag Race's standing across the universe to know that.
But being a Starry Night Constable? The risk was smaller, and the rewards were greater!
After all, those who stooped to being Star Pirates were never that strong. It was basically impossible for a Sun God to be among them; at best, they'd be Moon God-level.
Moreover, they were all members of Weak Races who became Star Pirates. Weak Races like the Bag Race had few powerful members and no significant backers. Even if you killed them, you killed them. There was no need to worry about retaliation.
Besides, it sounded much better. He would be a righteous warrior fighting evil. Who wouldn't give him a thumbs-up for that?
'Star Pirates rob others, and I'll rob the Star Pirates. It's like I'm indirectly robbing others, but without attracting any hatred…' The more Su Ze thought about it, the more he felt this was a great business venture.
This was doable!
However, to pull it off smoothly, he still needed to increase his strength. It would also be best to bring a few helpers.
Star Pirates often operated in groups. Fighting many enemies alone would put him at a great disadvantage, so he had to have backup.
Furthermore, some Star Pirate crews had more than one Moon God. With his current strength, Su Ze wasn't yet capable of fighting multiple Moon Gods at once.
Although he had a track record of defeating a Moon God, the Female Bag Race member was certainly not one of the stronger ones.
But then again, any Moon God who became a Star Pirate would also be from a Weak Race and couldn't be that powerful.
'I need to keep improving my own combat strength, and I also need to raise the strength of Senior Lin Hua and the others. They could be a great help.'
As Su Ze mulled it over, a preliminary plan began to form in his mind.
First, he summoned the Pope, discussed some matters with him, and asked a few questions.
Then, he called for Mr. Ya and Lin Hua, instructing Mr. Ya to help Lin Hua obtain pilot authorization for the Nebula.
"Next, I plan to hand over the task of trading resources to you, Senior Lin Hua. From now on, you'll be the one piloting the Nebula to Thousand Illusion Star to procure and sell resources," Su Ze said.
He couldn't possibly do everything himself. Trading resources was a long-term necessity, so he had to delegate the task to avoid it taking up too much of his energy.
"Thank you for your trust, Star Lord. However, my strength is low, and with my Human Race face, I'm afraid I won't be up to the task," Lin Hua said sincerely.
"Strength isn't the issue. Thousand Illusion Star is teeming with Star Gods. You'll just be traveling between Thousand Illusion Star and Zexing, and you'll have the protection of a Moon God-level Spaceship, so it won't be a big problem." Su Ze paused. "The Human Race face, however, is indeed an issue. But I'll accompany you on your first trip to Thousand Illusion Star. When we're there, I'll buy you a Divine Artifact that can change your appearance and form."
"Alright." With his doubts dispelled, Lin Hua agreed.
"One more thing. Do any of you Star Gods currently have a Divine Artifact?" Su Ze asked.
Lin Hua was taken aback for a moment. "No."
Su Ze nodded, not surprised. The few Star Gods currently on Zexing were all hard-luck cases teleported from Blue Star. Where would they have gotten Divine Artifacts?
"Next, I will forge a batch of seventh-rank Divine Artifacts. Every Star God will get one. Go and announce it. The quantity is limited, first come, first served. Anyone else who wants a Divine Artifact had better hurry up and evolve to become a god as soon as possible!"
Mass-producing Divine Artifacts?
What a grand gesture!
Lin Hua knew this news would cause a sensation once it spread. He suspected that the evolutionaries on the verge of godhood would start competing with all their might.
Su Ze had also decided on mass-producing seventh-rank Divine Artifacts after discussing it with the Pope.
If he wanted to increase the strength of the Star Gods under his command, giving them Divine Artifacts was naturally the quickest way.
After personally experiencing how effective (and insidious) the Shadowless Needle was, Su Ze came up with the idea of equipping everyone with a similar Divine Artifact.
Although he had used up his Shadow Jade, he still had a large amount of Shadow Stone, which could be used to forge seventh-rank hidden weapon-type Divine Artifacts.
When the time came, he would lead a group of righteous warriors skilled in hidden weapons to sweep away the pests of the universe—the Star Pirates. Countless hidden weapons flying out, silently annihilating the enemy... Just the thought of it was thrilling.
Su Ze was flush with cash now. He had plenty of Shadow Stone, he could buy the matching Shadow Element Evolution Crystals, and he could afford the fee for using the forging machine.
There was just one problem: Zexing didn't have that many Star Gods at the moment.
Not counting himself, there were only four Star Gods on Zexing in total, and one of them, Hei, couldn't leave the planet or he would go out of control.
No matter how many seventh-rank hidden weapons he forged, it would be useless if there was no one to wield them.
That was why Su Ze was using seventh-rank Divine Artifacts as a reward to motivate everyone on Zexing to speed up their evolution.
'Once my strength has improved a bit more, and a few more Star Gods have emerged on Zexing, my corps of Starry Night Constables will have taken its initial shape. Then I can start wiping out bandits.'
