Chapter 1134: Chapter 814: Alchemy_2

Kael did not speak, he just silently took a sip of his tea.

The French wizardry has its pleasure, even he could taste it; this flavor was much better than the ordinary stuff he drank at Dumbledore’s place.

After they finished their tea, there was a knock on the door outside.

"It should be Gabrielle." Ms. Maxime gestured for Fleur to open the door.

"Ms. Maxime, the Magic Mirror said you were looking for me... Sister, why are you here?"

Indeed, it was Gabrielle Delacour outside the door. She seemed much taller than before, her appearance more exquisite and refined, subtly hinting at her ambition to catch up with her sister.

Well, the last time they saw Gabrielle was at the Triwizard Tournament, back then she was just a first-year student. Now, she should be in her fourth year, right?

Gabrielle hugged Fleur tightly and then noticed Kael and Conna were also present.

"It’s you... Kael and Conna!" She looked more excited, asking enthusiastically, "Are you both coming to work at Beauxbatons?"

Instinctively, Kael glanced at Ms. Maxime.

It really is like the headmaster teaches students to be the same, why are all Beauxbatons people constantly thinking about having them come here?

Ms. Maxime looked straight ahead, choosing to ignore Kael’s gaze... which wasn’t difficult for her.

"Gabrielle, what classes do you have this afternoon," she asked.

"Magic history."

"Take leave; with your grades in this course, missing a class should not matter much," Ms. Maxime said. "This afternoon take your time to show these two around Beauxbatons, let them understand the heritage and excellent atmosphere here as much as possible."

"I understand, Ms. Maxime, leave it to me." Gabrielle said earnestly, as if accepting an important task.

Kael was well aware of their conversation’s underlying meaning, it was merely intended to let them find fondness for the place and stay.

Ms. Maxime did not hide her intentions, Kael also pretended as if he wasn’t aware. Putting the teacup back in its place, he and Conna stood up, following the enthusiastic Gabrielle out of the room.

"What a surprise, I didn’t expect you to come to France... and also to Beauxbatons."

Gabrielle was very excited throughout the journey, chattering:

"Let me tell you, Beauxbatons is really the world’s best magic school, better than Hogwarts...

"Sorry, I mean I think it’s better than Hogwarts; the castle there is too dark, even in daylight some places require torches for illumination, but here you don’t have such worries."

"No worries, that’s just reality." Kael said.

Hogwarts was indeed a bit dark due to the castle’s structure, but in a way, it was its own kind of feature.

Whereas Beauxbatons...

Kael glanced upwards, the ceiling here seemed like a large piece of glass, sunlight could illuminate every piece of delicately carved wall, clean floor tiles, and the students’ fashionable blue silk uniforms.

It must be said, at least visually, this place was much better than Hogwarts, especially on sunny days, the mood here was much more uplifted.

No wonder France hasn’t produced any Dark Wizards, perhaps the bright and radiant campus environment at Beauxbatons has some relation to that.

"I’m really happy today." Gabrielle continued walking, "I always thought I had to wait until my sister’s wedding to see you again."

"Your sister’s wedding?" Kael raised an eyebrow.

"It’s that Bill Weasley... is that the name?" She pondered for a moment and said, "Why, didn’t you know?"

"We knew." Kael said, "But I didn’t think she would even tell you."

"Not just me, our whole family knows." Gabrielle said. "It’s rare for my sister to meet someone she truly likes, our family fully supports her, and we’re always ready to attend their wedding... come this way."

Gabrielle led them past a row of massive columns resembling jade carvings, arriving at an even more spectacular giant platform.

This place was about the size of Hogwarts’ auditorium, the ground engraved with meticulous Magic Text Talismans.

Above the platform were circles of ring-shaped corridors, Kael counted a total of six floors.

"Where do you want to visit first?" Gabrielle turned to ask, "Or should I guide you? There are truly many worthwhile places to see here, an entire afternoon might not be enough."

"Then let’s go to the Alchemy Classroom first." Kael blurted out, as if he had already planned it. "I’ve heard it’s Beauxbatons’ most popular course."

"That’s right, a lot of people do enjoy Professor Viktor’s class, me too." Gabrielle nodded, she walked to the platform and cleared her throat, speaking clearly in French:

"Alchemy Classroom."

The Magic Text lightened beneath their feet, countless stones detached from the ground, gathered around them, forming a simple elevator, carrying them upwards.

"Oh, what an incredible design!" Conna exclaimed.

"It was designed by Mr. Flamel, including the fountain in the square, that’s also his work." Gabrielle said proudly, "It’s unique, something you can only see at Beauxbatons."

As they spoke, the elevator arrived at the third floor, the original railing automatically opened a gap, connecting with the elevator, seamlessly.

"This way." Gabrielle extended her hand, "What you’re looking at now is the Alchemy Classroom, but they are in session now, Professor Viktor is not pleasant, we can only look from outside.
