Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard
Chapter 1133 - 814: Alchemy
Chapter 1133: Chapter 814: Alchemy
The three of them walked through the passage beneath the fountain for nearly twenty minutes, Kael felt as though he had traversed the entirety of Beauxbatons.
But strangely, the water surface above them remained, as if they were circling around the fountain perpetually.
Until a light appeared in front of Kael’s eyes that was completely different from what was in the passage... a golden door, shining brilliantly under the light.
Walking at the front, Fleur grasped the doorknob and gently pushed.
"I was just wondering who would venture into the secret passage, didn’t expect it to be your return."
Ms. Maxime’s voice came from the other side of the door, "So, what brings you to the school to find me?"
"Long time no see, Ms. Maxime," Fleur said, "but it’s not me who wanted to come here this time, it’s him..."
Fleur turned slightly, allowing Kael and Conna to step out of the passageway.
"It’s you?"
Seeing Kael, Ms. Maxime appeared somewhat surprised, seemingly not expecting to encounter him here.
"Pleasure to meet you, Ms. Maxime," Kael said politely, while looking up at the Beauxbatons Headmaster who was twice his height.
He had grown significantly taller in the past few years, yet when looking at Ms. Maxime, it seemed unchanged as he still had to crane his neck.
"Welcome," Ms. Maxime approached, "and welcome to you, beautiful lady. I remember your name is Conna Prince, isn’t it?"
"Yes, Ms. Maxime," Conna elegantly bowed, "I didn’t expect you to remember me."
"It’s not remembering, it’s an impression," Ms. Maxime said, "Are you interested in working at Beauxbatons? We’ve always lacked an excellent Professor of Potions."
Conna was somewhat flattered and instinctively glanced at Kael.
"Don’t worry, you don’t have to answer me now. Just know that the door here is always open for you." Ms. Maxime did not make Conna too embarrassed, she said with a smile.
Then she looked at Kael with a cheerful tone, "You finally thought it through, wanting to come to Beauxbatons? I say this is the place most suited for you, there’s no future at Hogwarts."
"You might be disappointed, I haven’t considered that much for the time being," Kael smiled, "This time, I’m just purely taking advantage of vacation, coming to visit."
"Vacation?" Ms. Maxime asked puzzled: "Has the trouble over there been resolved so quickly... I haven’t heard Albus mention it?"
"Not really," Kael shook his head, "It’s been temporarily shelved due to some reasons. The Death Eaters haven’t been active recently. Before figuring out their plot, there’s unexpectedly some leisure time.
"But professionals are handling these things, I can’t help much."
"I see," Ms. Maxime nodded, "War indeed leads to various situations, it’s good to relax a bit; being tense all the time can lead to more mistakes."
"That’s what I think too," Kael said with a smile.
"Then feel free to explore, I’ll let Fleur..." She glanced at the girl beside her, seemingly thought of something, shook her head and said, "Never mind, let Gabrielle show you around. Let’s avoid those crazy suitors from holding a grudge against you."
"Just by staying nearby would hold a grudge?" Conna was somewhat surprised, "Isn’t that a bit exaggerated?"
"If you had half the Veela bloodline, you would understand this isn’t hard to comprehend," Fleur said indifferently.
"Indeed," Kael nodded.
The natural charm of Veela is like a perfume made from Love Potion, making people unconsciously do incomprehensible actions.
This is also why she uses a hat to cover her face in public, after all, outside isn’t as safe as the school, Fleur’s capability isn’t enough to handle all troubles.
"But isn’t Gabrielle your sister," Kael asked, "Is she different from you?"
"She’s still young," Fleur explained, "and her wizard blood is more dominant, the influence isn’t significant."
"Also, her English is the best among us."
"No need to emphasize that," Kael chuckled dryly, "No need to make things complicated, I won’t be staying here long, at most half a day then I’ll return. They can’t possibly chase me all the way to the United Kingdom, can they?"
"I’m not worried about you..." Ms. Maxime glanced at Kael lightly, "I’m worried about my students."
"What do you mean by that?"
"Is that hard to understand?" she chuckled, "Although I’m in France, I’ve specifically followed up on your past deeds and actions... How shall I put it, I don’t want my students fainting inexplicably, or breaking a leg somehow."
"There must be some misunderstanding," Kael said.
Yet before he could explain, Ms. Maxime continued:
"Additionally, when I chatted with Mr. Flamel, his evaluation of you is similar to mine, believes you aren’t as... benevolent as you appear."
"Of course, I’m not belittling you," Ms. Maxime moved to the side of the table, took out a few standard-sized teacups, then with a tap of her finger, they immediately filled with tea.
She held the teacup like holding a piece of popcorn and placed them respectively in front of Kael and Conna.
"In the Magic Realm, benevolence is a rare and precious quality. But if a wizard is only benevolent, he would turn into an utterly foolish idiot, likewise, I wouldn’t let such a person into Beauxbatons."
