Chapter 1131: Chapter 813: Beauxbatons (2)

"Follow me." She led the two of them to an area next to Gringotts that was cordoned off, opened the ground... the Flying Carpet spread out on the ground.

"Get on, what are you waiting for? If we delay any longer, it’ll be dark."

Kael quickly walked over and sat on the carpet, with Conna following closely behind sitting next to him.

Then Fleur did something unknown, the Flying Carpet immediately floated up and sped forward.

It was Kael’s first time using such a means of transportation. He patted the carpet in front of him; although he was in mid-air, it felt just like sitting on the ground, with no sense of being suspended.

"What a luxury." Kael sighed, "I didn’t expect you to specially buy a means of transportation just because we decided to do this last minute."

"Instead of saying that, why don’t you give me the money for the Flying Carpet?" Fleur said without turning her head.

"Now you’re making me feel distant." Kael turned his head sideways, "Talking about money hurts feelings, plus I can’t take this thing with me."

"Can’t take it... Oh right, I remember you don’t have Flying Carpets over there." Asked Fleur from the front.

"No." Kael said, "This is my first time riding a Flying Carpet."

In the British Ministry of Magic, Flying Carpets are prohibited goods for trade. Being a good law-abiding wizard, of course, he hadn’t experienced it.

"You guys are really strange." Fleur couldn’t help but ask, "Why ban such a convenient transportation tool? Aren’t Flying Carpets more comfortable than oversized brooms? In France, this is the most popular means of transportation."

"It’s a bit of an oversight, I suppose." Kael thought about it, "Carpets were registered long ago as Muggle artifacts, it’s prohibited to enchant them."

"So as soon as this thing flies over British skies, it’s illegal, and the process to amend a law is too complicated. After all, it’s just a means of transport, maybe the ministers don’t see the necessity."

"Tsk." Fleur made a clicking sound but didn’t say anything further.

Just like there’s a special Floo Network in the UK, France seems to have a pathway for Flying Carpets; along the way, not a single Muggle looked up at them.

Though Kael felt the speed of the Flying Carpet wasn’t noteworthy, they reached the distant Pyrenees Mountains from Paris in just an hour.

This is also the site where Beauxbatons is built, almost like another name for it, nestled among the mountains is a Magic Garden.

Fleur skillfully piloted the Flying Carpet forward, flying over peaks, through dense clouds, and from the edge, headed toward the center of the mountains.

Finally, the Flying Carpet came to a stop on the highest nearby mountain.

"We’re here." Fleur said with a hint of pride, pointing ahead, "There is Beauxbatons."

Following the direction of her finger, Kael saw a vast estate nestled among the mountains.

Yes, a vast one; Beauxbatons almost resembled a peculiarly shaped peak.

It was the largest place he had ever seen, even larger than Hogwarts... although, that’s not counting the Forbidden Forest.

"How does it feel?" Fleur asked.

"Better looking than Hogwarts." Kael said.

It was the truth, the wonders of Hogwarts are on the inside, from outside it looks like a castle, and it even seems a bit eerie at night without lights.

But Beauxbatons was much more magnificent; at a glance, it was a large swath of dazzling gold and blue, with more sophisticated architectural designs.

Especially that giant fountain in front of the castle, it was the most majestic fountain he had ever seen, with the water column spraying nearly fifty feet high, and the column would evenly spread out from different heights, forming a seven-layered circular water screen.

Even the colors of these water screens were different, a total of seven, almost like a spherical rainbow. Surrounding it were three flying horses, also composed of water.

Compared to this, the fountain in the Ministry of Magic was like an upside-down faucet, not only unoriginal but unattractive.

"Everyone thinks this the first time they see Beauxbatons." Fleur said with a smile. "Come on, I’ll take you inside."

"Can we now?" Kael asked, "You’ve graduated, and we’re not students here."

"Naturally, others can’t, but you can." Fleur said, "If you wanted, you could be a formal professor at Beauxbatons by tomorrow."

"That’s quite tempting," Kael said with a smile, "If one day Hogwarts gets taken over by You-Know-Who, I’ll consider the offer."

"A decisive rejection." Fleur said, having naturally picked up on Kael’s implication but she didn’t mind.

After all, she had already graduated, and it was Ms. Maxime who wanted Kael.

"Follow me closely, don’t take a wrong step, or I’ll have to find you." Standing at the mountain top, Fleur took a step forward, and her whole body suddenly plummeted, disappearing into a cloud layer below.

"Conna, don’t move yet, let Kael jump first, I’ll catch you in a moment." Fleur’s voice came increasingly faint from mid-air.

Actually, there was no need for Fleur’s reminder, seeing this scene, Conna’s face had already turned pale, and she subconsciously backed up two steps.

Though she knew it was a form of magic to enter Beauxbatons, much like the column at Platform 9¾.

But knowing is one thing, jumping from such a great height was understandably hard to accept.

Setting up such an exciting entrance, is Beauxbatons really a legitimate school?

Moreover, the last time she came here, this wasn’t how she entered.
