Chapter 779: Everyone Gets a Fucking Upgrade

At the same time, somewhere far away, inside a mysterious hidden space, several other system candidates were also staring at the same golden panel that had appeared before them.

The lazy young man’s usual carefree smile had completely vanished, replaced by an unusually serious expression.

The armored man was gripping the edge of the black table so tightly that cracks had begun spreading across its surface.

Meanwhile, the silver-eyed woman remained silent, her cold eyes narrowing dangerously as she carefully examined the announcement.

For a long while, none of them spoke.

Suddenly, the armored man slammed his fist against the table. "WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS THIS?!"

The entire room trembled violently from the impact, and the already damaged table nearly shattered beneath his fist.

His eyes burned with fury as he glared at the golden panel floating before them.

"ONE YEAR?! FORCED TRANSPORTATION?! A FUCKING BATTLEFIELD DIMENSION?! AND ONLY ONE SURVIVOR?! GODDAMMIT! JUST WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT CRAZY CREATOR THINKING?!"

The lazy young man leaned back in his chair, his expression becoming increasingly ugly as he let out a long sigh.

"Haah... So the Creator finally lost her patience, huh? I knew something like this might happen eventually, but I didn’t expect her to suddenly throw all of us into a deathmatch."

The silver-eyed woman continued staring at the arrogant words displayed on the panel before replying coldly, "It seems so. She’s clearly tired of waiting for us to accomplish whatever purpose she originally intended."

The armored man sneered furiously. "Tired of waiting? Bullshit! That damn creator is treating us like insects trapped inside a fucking jar!

He slammed the table once again. "Does she seriously think she can just throw us together and watch us slaughter each other for her entertainment?!"

The lazy young man clicked his tongue before glancing at him. "And what exactly are you going to do about it? March up to her throne and demand an explanation?"

The armored man immediately froze, his expression twisting with frustration.

Because that was precisely the most infuriating part of this entire situation.

They could curse her, rage against her, or grit their teeth in humiliation, but in the end, they had no choice but to obey.

After all, the very source of their extraordinary power had originated from that same existence.

The silver-eyed woman slowly exhaled before speaking in her usual cold, composed voice.

"Swallow your anger. Whether we like it or not, the situation has already been decided. We have one year to prepare, and wasting time complaining won’t change anything."

The armored man’s expression darkened, but this time, he didn’t argue. "Tch! Yeah, yeah! I fucking know!"

The lazy young man tapped his fingers lightly against the table, his eyes narrowing thoughtfully.

"Still, there’s something much more troublesome about this announcement, you know. The Creator didn’t just announce the final competition. She also removed every restriction placed on our systems."

He paused briefly before continuing. "And that applies to every remaining candidate, regardless of when they obtained their systems or how strong they currently are."

The silver-eyed woman nodded slightly. "Which means?"

The lazy young man’s expression became increasingly serious. "Which means even those weak little bastards we’ve never bothered paying attention to might suddenly become dangerous."

He leaned down on the table. "One year might seem short, but with completely unlocked systems, who the hell knows what kind of monsters could emerge?"

The silver-eyed woman nodded again, her cold gaze shifting toward the golden panel. "Including the one who killed Kairox."

The atmosphere immediately grew heavier.

The armored man snorted disdainfully before crossing his muscular arms. "Hmph! Let that bastard grow all he wants! I don’t give a fuck what kind of system he has."

He shrugged. "What’s one year of sudden growth supposed to accomplish against someone like me? If he dares appear before me, I’ll crush him into fucking paste!"

The silver-eyed woman slowly turned toward him, her expression remaining completely emotionless. "That arrogance of yours is becoming rather boring."

The armored man’s face immediately darkened. "What the fuck did you just say?"

The silver-eyed woman didn’t even blink. "Kairox was also confident in his strength. Look where that got him."

The lazy young man suddenly chuckled, although there was little amusement in his eyes.

"Heh... She’s got a point, you know. We don’t even know who killed Kairox, let alone how strong that person actually is. Underestimating someone like that just because he’s a newer candidate would be pretty fucking stupid."

The armored man gritted his teeth, clearly irritated by their words, but eventually clicked his tongue and looked away.

"Tch! Whatever. We’ll see what happens when that bastard finally shows his face."

The silver-eyed woman returned her attention to the golden panel, her expression becoming even colder. "Yes. We will."

However, just as the three candidates were about to return to their respective territories, their system screens suddenly appeared before them once again.

[System Restriction Release Detected]

[Locked Functions Opening]

[Candidate Authority Expansion Beginning]

[All System Limitations Have Been Removed]

The three of them froze, their eyes widening in surprise as countless notifications began flooding their vision.

They had originally believed their systems were already operating at their full potential.

After all, they had possessed them for countless years, explored nearly every available function, and grown powerful enough to establish their own territories.

But now, looking at the sheer number of previously hidden functions appearing before them, they finally realized something astonishing.

Their systems had never been fully unlocked in the first place!

The armored man’s eyes widened before a savage grin slowly spread across his face.

"Hahaha... HAHAHAHA! WHAT THE FUCK?! So this is what that damn woman was hiding from us all this time?!"

The lazy young man, who had been looking rather troubled moments earlier, suddenly straightened in his chair.

His eyes sparkled with excitement as he examined the newly unlocked functions.

"Well, well... Now this is fucking interesting! Hehehe, to think I’ve been using only a portion of my system’s true capabilities all these years. Looks like this final competition might actually be worth looking forward to!"

Even the silver-eyed woman, who had remained cold and composed throughout their conversation, couldn’t completely conceal the excitement flashing through her eyes.

"So this is the true potential of our systems... Interesting. Very interesting."

The armored man slammed his fist into his palm, his earlier frustration completely replaced by overwhelming fighting spirit.

"HAHAHA! GOOD! FUCKING GOOD! If that arrogant woman wants a bloody competition, then I’ll give her one! Let’s see who the hell dares stand against me after I master all these new functions!"

The lazy young man chuckled, leaning back in his chair with his familiar carefree grin finally returning.

"Heh, don’t get too excited. You’re not the only one receiving these benefits, you know. Every other candidate is getting the exact same opportunity."

The silver-eyed woman slowly nodded, her gaze becoming increasingly sharp. "Precisely. Which means the next year will be far more interesting than any of us anticipated."

For a moment, the three candidates exchanged glances before their expressions gradually transformed into excited, confident smiles.

Whatever fear or frustration they had felt earlier was now overshadowed by something much stronger.

Anticipation.

After countless years of comfortable rule, their long-dormant ambitions had finally begun awakening once again.

And they weren’t the only ones.

Across countless worlds, hidden dimensions, and distant territories, every remaining system candidate was experiencing the same astonishing transformation.

Some laughed with excitement, others trembled with anticipation, while the most ambitious immediately began preparing to seize every advantage they could obtain.

For the first time in countless years, the scattered candidates were all moving toward the same destination: to become the [Chosen One].

And the opportunity to stand before the mysterious [Creator of All Systems].

Whether they were ancient monsters who had ruled for millions of years or newcomers who had only recently obtained their systems, every candidate now had exactly the same amount of time remaining.

One year.

The final competition had been announced, the restrictions had been lifted, and the greatest struggle among the system candidates was about to begin.

And from this moment onward, there would be no turning back.

The clock was ticking.

The countdown to the end had begun.
