Heavenly Dungeon: My Subordinates Are All Woman Monsters
Chapter 41: World-Type Floor
Chapter 41: Chapter 41: World-Type Floor
Ragnar’s eyes paused when he saw the final option.
"World-Type Floor..."
He selected it.
A description appeared.
[World-Type Floor]
[Creates an independent environment comparable to a small world.]
[The environment can contain unique terrain, weather, ecosystems, structures, monsters, and other special features.]
[Warning: Extremely high Soul Point cost.]
Ragnar’s eyebrows rose.
"A whole world?"
He stared at the description for several seconds.
The system was far more ridiculous than he had initially imagined.
He had thought a dungeon was simply a collection of rooms and corridors hidden beneath a structure, but apparently, the system could eventually create entire worlds and place them within the dungeon.
Of course, the price was another matter.
Ragnar opened the purchase screen.
His expression immediately became flat.
"...Yeah. I’m definitely not buying that anytime soon."
The amount of Soul Points required was absurd.
Even after obtaining forty-six Soul Points from the thirteen adventurers, he wasn’t even remotely close to being able to afford one.
Ragnar closed the window.
"That’s for the future."
He wasn’t disappointed.
In fact, it gave him something to look forward to.
For now, he needed to work with what he had.
Ragnar returned to the first-floor layout.
The current dungeon map floated before him, showing the entrance hall, corridors, monster areas, treasure room, and throne room.
It looked extremely basic, too basic.
Ragnar frowned.
"The problem isn’t the size."
His enormous finger moved across the map.
"It’s the structure."
The first group of adventurers had already demonstrated the weakness of his dungeon. Once they understood the general direction, they could simply move forward while dealing with whatever monsters appeared.
The traps had helped.
The monsters had helped even more.
But Ragnar wanted the dungeon to become something that could continuously pressure adventurers instead of simply throwing monsters at them.

"I need different sections."
He began moving his fingers across the interface.
[Modify Layout?]
[Confirm.]
Ragnar selected it, the map immediately changed.
The original straight corridors began twisting into winding passages.
Some became narrow enough that only two or three adventurers could move through them at the same time, while others opened into larger chambers where monsters could surround intruders from several directions.
Ragnar created intersections as well.
Not simple intersections, either. Some had three paths, others had four.
A few led into dead ends.
"Adventurers shouldn’t always know whether they’re moving forward."
He created several false paths and connected them to rooms containing nothing particularly valuable.
Then he added treasures.
Small piles of coins.
Low-grade magic stones.
Old weapons.
Potions.
Nothing powerful enough to change the balance of the dungeon, but enough to tempt adventurers into exploring areas they otherwise might have ignored.
Ragnar smiled.
"If they find treasures regularly, they’ll keep going."
Veyra watched the floating map from his lap.
"My Lord intends to lure them deeper."
"Exactly."
Ragnar pointed toward one of the newly created corridors.
"If they think there’s treasure ahead, they’ll take risks."
He connected another corridor to a hidden room.
"And if they take the wrong path..."
A grin appeared on his face.
"They’ll pay for it."
Next came the monster placements.
Ragnar didn’t simply scatter monsters randomly anymore.
He created dedicated areas.
One chamber became a hunting ground for wolves, with several branching paths that allowed them to surround intruders.
Another became a spider nest.
He placed webs throughout the chamber and created several elevated areas where the spiders could attack from above.
A third section became an aerial hunting zone for poisonous bats.
He then created narrow passages between the different areas.
The idea was simple.
An adventurer might enter a wolf territory, survive the attack, and assume the danger was over.
Then they would enter a narrow passage.
That passage would lead directly into the spider territory.
And while they were exhausted from the previous battle, the spiders would attack.
Ragnar nodded with satisfaction.
"Much better."
But there was still one thing missing.
He looked toward a large empty chamber near the middle of the dungeon.
"Mini-bosses."
Ragnar enlarged the chamber.
"This room should be different from the others."
He created a large circular arena with several stone pillars scattered throughout it.
Then he connected three different corridors to the chamber.
"An adventurer should have to pass through here before reaching the deeper sections."
He opened the monster shop menu.
[Standard Monster]
[Elite Monster]
[Mini-Boss]
[Boss]
Ragnar selected Mini-Boss.
A list of available creatures appeared. His eyes moved across them carefully.
"These are expensive..."
He wasn’t about to spend all his Soul Points carelessly.
After all, he had only forty-six.
He needed four more just to reach the fifty required for the second floor, and although he had already decided not to purchase it immediately, there was no reason to waste his resources.
Ragnar eventually selected several creatures that were stronger than the ordinary monsters but not powerful enough to completely overwhelm adventurers of the level he expected to encounter.
He placed one in the central chamber. Then another farther along the dungeon.
He didn’t put too many. Mini-bosses needed to remain special.
"If every room has one, they won’t feel like mini-bosses anymore."
Veyra nodded.
"That is true."
Ragnar then moved on to the treasure placement.
He added more treasures throughout the first floor.
Some were genuine. Others were deliberately mediocre.
And a few were placed in locations surrounded by traps.
He wanted adventurers to learn that finding treasure didn’t necessarily mean they were safe.
Finally, Ragnar opened the decoration menu.
The plain stone walls began changing.
Torches appeared along certain corridors.
Ancient-looking statues were placed near intersections.
Broken armor and old weapons were scattered around several chambers.
The dungeon suddenly looked much older.
Much more mysterious, and more dangerous.
Ragnar stared at the completed map.
The first floor that had once been nothing more than a collection of corridors had been transformed into something far more elaborate.
