Chapter 951: Chapter 387: Voldemort, You Really Are Hungry_2

Harry followed him and saw someone he carefully navigated through the crowded room, clearly having been here many times.

The room was so cramped, one couldn’t imagine anyone moving through without knocking over at least a dozen things.

There were cabinets displaying lacquered boxes, bookshelves full of gilded books, racks holding celestial bodies and astrological instruments, and numerous lush plants growing in copper vessels... This room looked like a fusion of a magical antique shop and a conservatory.

They moved through the room and arrived at a slightly more spacious living area.

In the living room stood an elderly witch—the woman’s face was heavily powdered, looking like frosted donkey dung.

But Tom apparently wasn’t bothered; he stepped forward and bent down low.

"Lady Hepzibah." Tom greeted elegantly, his lips lightly brushing Lady Hepzibah’s chubby hand.

"I brought you flowers." He said quietly, producing a bouquet of roses in his hand.

Upon seeing this, Harry couldn’t help but gag audibly.

No way, Tom?

Back when I was a first-year, you dressed up as a woman to deceive with your looks, it seems you have a history!

You used to sell yourself as a man, seducing elderly witches, huh?

You really are...

You’re truly starved!

"You cheeky child, you shouldn’t be doing this!" Old Lady Hepzibah screamed, though Harry noticed she had prepared an empty vase on a small table nearby, "You’re spoiling this old lady, Tom... sit, sit... where’s Hao Qi?"

The House-Elf rushed in with a tray of small pastries, placing it by the old lady’s elbow.

"Help yourself, Tom," Lady Hepzibah said, "I know you love my pastries... How are you feeling? You look a bit pale, the shop’s overworking you, I’ve said it a hundred times..."

At this, Hepzibah giggled, and Tom followed with a mechanical smile.

Harry didn’t quite understand why Hepzibah was laughing, but seeing an old lady glowing with mirth, with wrinkles that could catch a mosquito, smiling at a young stud, Harry just felt a bit horrified.

Voldemort, you’re really hungry!

"So, what’s your excuse for visiting me this time?" she blinked her eyelashes and asked.

"That armor crafted by fairies, Mr. Bok wants to offer a slightly higher price, five hundred Galleons, he thinks it’s fair enough—"

"Oh dear, oh dear, don’t rush, or I’ll think you only came for my items!" Hepzibah said, pursing her lips.

"I was sent because of them." Voldemort said softly, "I’m just a small shop assistant, madam, only following orders. Mr. Bok wants me to ask..."

"Oh, Mr. Bok, bah!" Hepzibah said, waving her pudgy hand, "I’m going to show you something Mr. Bok has never seen! Can you keep a secret, Tom? Can you promise not to tell Mr. Bok I have this? If he knew I showed it to you, he’d never let me be. I’m not selling it, not to Bok, not to anyone! But you, Tom, you’ll appreciate its history, not just think about how many Galleons it’s worth—"

Harry thought this old witch was hopelessly smitten, lost in the web of love Tom had woven for her.

She doesn’t take a look in the mirror and think; would such a young, handsome chap really fall for her?

Even a fool can see Tom certainly approached her for some ulterior motive...

"I’d love to see whatever Miss Hepzibah wishes to show me." Tom said softly, making Hepzibah giggle like a little girl once more.

Harry gasped sharply, nearly throwing up this time.

Oh goodness, Voldemort.

Just as well, you know you can accomplish great things!

Take a look at the brazenly calling an elderly lady with a face full of wrinkles "Miss Hepzibah"—Harry thought he could certainly become someone who accomplishes great things.

He really wanted to bring this memory out and show Gellert—see the cheek of the man, and then look at you, chased out of the United States never daring to return? Courage! Such a difference in boldness among dark wizards!

Hepzibah stared fixedly at Tom’s handsome face: "I had Hao Qi bring it out... Hao Qi, where are you? I want Mr. Riddle to see our finest treasure... bring both of them..."

"Here, madam." The House-Elf squeaked, and Harry saw two leather boxes stacked together, seemingly floating over.

Oh, he realized it, because the little elf was so tiny, holding them looked as if they were floating.

Great," Hepzibah said happily, receiving the boxes from the elf and placing them on her lap, preparing to open the top one, "I think you’ll like it, Tom... oh, if my relatives knew I showed it to you... they’d come to snatch it away!"

She opened the lid.

Harry leaned forward, it was Hufflepuff’s Golden Cup.

Oh, all this time, what Voldemort wanted to get from Hepzibah was Hufflepuff’s Golden Cup, huh?

"Do you know what this is, Tom? Take it and have a good look!" Hepzibah said with a flaunting tone.

Tom reached out his slender fingers, pinching the handle on one side, lifting the cup from the soft satin cushion.

Harry saw a flicker of red seem to pass through his dark eyes.

His greedy expression strangely reflected on Hepzibah’s face, yet Hepzibah’s small eyes were fixed on Tom’s handsome visage.

"Badger." Tom identified the engravings on the cup, murmuring, "This is..."

"Helga Hufflepuff’s, you’re very skilled, clever child!" Hepzibah said, leaning over to pinch his sunken cheek, her corset creaked loudly, "I haven’t told you I’m a distant relative of Hufflepuff, have I? This thing has been passed down in my family for many, many years."

Hepzibah continued muttering, then took a crystal from nearby and handed it to Tom.

"And this item." She said, "It’s said this belonged to a legendary wizard from sixty years ago—Legendary Wizard!"

Harry suddenly had a bad premonition.

"Harry Potter?" Tom’s eyes lit up.

Harry closed his eyes and looked away painfully.

There’s... my business in this too?

Wait, whose relatives is this old lady anyway? How can she possibly collect my stuff?

"Yes, Harry Potter was a classmate at Hogwarts." Hepzibah said softly, "Back when I was a carefree little girl..."

"Dear miss, you are now as well." Tom said, his complexion unchanged.

"Oh you child..." Hepzibah coyly scolded like a young girl, even reaching out to pat Voldemort’s shoulder, which made Harry gag again.

Disgusting.

"I never thought you’d be a classmate of that legendary wizard." Tom showed interest, and Harry could see he wasn’t faking a smile this time.

But Harry felt like faking a smile.

"Listen, let me continue," Hepzibah rolled her eyes at Tom, "Harry Potter was three years ahead of me, but that doesn’t matter, we all knew he was a legendary wizard... but he disappeared in the final battle with Lanlock."

"Disappeared?" Tom froze, asked again: "Who is Lanlock?"

"Yes, yes." Hepzibah chuckled, "It seems you young people have indeed forgotten who Lanlock was... Of course, it’s not your fault, the Ministry of Magic blocked all information about Lanlock, so it’s understandable you don’t know."
