Harry Returning from Hogwarts Legacy
Chapter 950 - 387: Voldemort, You Truly Are Hungry
Chapter 950: Chapter 387: Voldemort, You Truly Are Hungry
Upon hearing Gellert’s words, Vivi suddenly raised her head.
"What did you say?" she asked, narrowing her eyes, "The American Magic Congress cut out your tongue?"
"Oh, you didn’t know about this, it truly makes me sad." Gellert covered his face with one hand, in a ’frail’ manner, "I really didn’t expect that my sister would be so indifferent to her brother..."
Before he could finish speaking, he abruptly paused.
"Get to the point!" Vivi said expressionlessly.
"Alright." Gellert shrugged and began to explain the enmity and love story of the past.
In 1926, Grindelwald disguised himself as senior Auror Percival Graves and infiltrated the American Magic Congress, attempting to find a Silent One with the help of a mysterious boy, Credence Barebone. However, he eventually discovered that Credence was indeed the Silent One, and the eruption of silence within Credence caused massive destruction in New York before being shattered by the Aurors. His identity was also exposed by Newt Scamander, and from that point, Grindelwald was imprisoned in the American Wizard Prison.
Due to Grindelwald’s exceptional eloquence, he continuously gave speeches in prison, almost bewitching all the incarcerated inmates to become his followers, so the American Magic Congress decided to cut out his tongue.
"How do I feel you brought this upon yourself?" Little Sirius muttered, but received a fierce glare from Gellert.
"Regardless, this cannot be the reason my brother’s tongue was cut out." Vivi coldly said, "I will make the American Magic Congress give an explanation for this, Gael—of course, if you weren’t so stupid, perhaps you wouldn’t have been caught by Newt."
Gellert lowered his head and remained silent, as he had achieved his goal.
That afternoon, the Great German Ministry of Magic formally lodged a protest with the American Magic Congress, expressing dissatisfaction with their expulsion of Gellert Grindelwald.
However, the American Magic Congress viewed this as a provocation towards the United States and reiterated the ban from that year.
They even stated that not capturing Gellert Grindelwald was already giving face to Lady Grindelwald.
The arrogance of the American Magic Congress completely enraged Vivi. She expressed regret over the incident and serious concern about the Voldemort attack within the United States, offering all necessary support except for assistance.
On July 19th, Voldemort and Lanlock attacked Chicago, freeing some imprisoned wizard inmates.
Two days later, Voldemort and Lanlock attacked the branch of Gringotts in the United States, not only looting all the treasures there but also slaughtering the wizards, fairies, and magical creatures.
"I still don’t understand," Harry scratched his head, "Why the American Magic Congress is so arrogant..."
It’s not just Harry who didn’t understand, even Gellert himself couldn’t figure out why the American Magic Congress was so foolishly arrogant.
But this wasn’t something he needed to concern himself with because the chaos caused by Voldemort and Lanlock was in the United States, not Europe.
Voldemort seemed confident that no one would stop him, so he and Lanlock acted without concealment, committing evil openly and fiercely in the United States.
"This can’t go on," Dumbledore said gravely, "We must go to the United States to stop Voldemort’s evil deeds—"
"It’s not that we don’t want to go, Al." Gellert said coolly, "But the Americans don’t welcome us, don’t forget, just days ago, I was expelled by the American Magic Congress, yes, expelled."
Dumbledore opened his mouth, but ended up sighing heavily in defeat.
"By the way," he continued, "about Voldemort’s last Soul Artifact..."
"Nagini, right?" Harry chuckled, "Bring her over tomorrow, or... we could do something to Voldemort through Nagini?"
"I think it’s best not to." Dumbledore shook his head, "After all, Nagini is not like the dead object of Ravenclaw’s Crown, she was once human, and she was my nephew’s wife."
"Nothing we can do, Professor." Harry shrugged, "You must know, those Soul Artifacts were created by Voldemort many years ago, while Nagini is one he made more recently, so the connection with him is closer."
"I remain reserved." Dumbledore said.
Since Dumbledore said so, Harry no longer insisted.
That afternoon, Dumbledore brought Nagini to Number 12 Grimmauld Square.
Nagini was kept in a specially made iron cage, and when she woke up and saw Harry, she shrank her head back, hissing at him.
Lack of affection.
He didn’t hesitate, pointing his magic wand at Nagini.
"Legiliments (Mind Reading)!"
...
When Harry landed on the ground, he found himself outside a house.
The door opened, and a House-Elf walked out from inside.
The House-Elf walked straight towards Harry, but passed right through him.
Harry turned around and saw a tall young man.
It was Tom Riddle.
He wore a black suit, his hair was longer than during school, and his cheeks were sunken, but these suited him well, making him look more handsome.
The elf said a few words to Tom and then led him back into the room.
