Chapter 1034: Chapter 429: Old Classmates’ Reunion

Cassandra’s expression was utterly disdainful, clearly saying, "You’re obviously just trying to watch, what excuse are you looking for?"

But since the words were already spoken, she couldn’t say anything else, just gave a heavy snort and turned her head to look out the window.

Seeing her like this, Vivi turned her head and gave Harry a "problem solved" look.

Eh hey.

The carriage continued to proceed through the clouds; the reunion hosted by Imelda was located in a manor in Northern Ireland.

Anyway, it’s farther than Hogwarts—at least Hogwarts doesn’t have a sea in between.

"Actually, I’m curious too," Annie said. "I wonder which old friends, besides us, will attend this reunion... but I really didn’t expect Professor Garrick to... also attend this reunion."

Pabi suddenly squinted and asked suspiciously, "Are you trying to say you didn’t expect Professor Garrick to still be alive, right?"

"Hehe, just a slip of the tongue." Annie stuck out her little tongue, trying to pass it off as cute.

"Huh." Pabi rolled her eyes, "That’s our Hufflepuff head... but I’m really curious why Principal Phineas Black would let such a young professor be the head of the house, actually shouldn’t a more senior professor take on this plant role?"

"Didn’t Dumbledore also let Professor Snape, who was only twenty, become the head of Slytherin? What’s so surprising about that," Annie said with a laugh, "Perhaps, it’s an unspoken rule that the Herbology professor is always the Hufflepuff head? Just like the Transformation Class professor is always the Gryffindor head."

"But Professor McGonagall was the Transformation Class professor for a while, and during that time the head was Dumbledore." Cassandra suddenly said.

"Actually," Vivi said, "if it wasn’t because the Sorting Hat sorted me into Slytherin, I would have tried to go to Gryffindor... After all, I think Professor McGonagall and I would get along very well."

"You might really become friends," Harry said, "because Professor McGonagall said something similar."

Upon hearing Harry’s words, Vivi was overjoyed.

She said happily, "If I could choose again, I would definitely go to Gryffindor—"

Cassandra muttered quietly, yet audibly to everyone, "What’s so great about being a traitor?"

Around two-thirty, they finally arrived at the manor where the reunion was held.

After getting off the carriage, a house-elf was already waiting for them, leading them to the mansion.

It was clear that Imelda was someone who pursued quality of life, and the mansion’s decor greatly matched Slytherin’s aesthetics.

Time seemed to stand still here. Under the low ceilings, suspended magic lanterns cast a warm glow, with the fireplace crackling with burning wood.

And in this warm light, those faces he thought were long buried in the dust of a hundred years, turned around, looking at him with familiar yet unfamiliar smiles.

"Merlin’s beard! He’s really here!" A voice rang out—Janobia Nock, the former Gobstones-obsessed Ravenclaw—jumped from her chair, she looked much older, but those eyes remained bright.

"I told you Imelda could get him here." Sitting next to her was Priscilla Vickfield; her long black hair was replaced by a full head of silver threads, yet her demeanor was much calmer than in her student days, leisurely rotating a goblet in her hand.

Imelda, who had invited him, came forward from the center of the crowd. She was wearing a dark green robe, with Slytherin silver accessories glittering at her collar, and time had sculpted her to be even more elegant and sharp.

She stepped forward, reaching out to Harry, with a barely discernible tease belonging to old friends at the corner of her mouth: "Potter, it seems traveling through time taught you to be punctual, didn’t it?"

"I’ve always been punctual," Harry said with a smile.

"Where are your girlfriends?" Imelda teased.

"They’re behind," Harry said as the four girls walked in.

It should be said, these four dazzling girls were enough to become the focus of the banquet.

Especially Imelda, she was practically envious.

"Youth is great..." she said, both sentimental and envious.

"If you could endure a century of solitude," Vivi walked to her side, extending her hand, "Long time no see, Imelda."

"Long time no see, Vivi."

Imelda shook Vivi’s hand and teasingly corrected herself, "Oh no, it should be honored Lady Grindelwald."

"Go away," Vivi laughed and jokingly cursed, "Then should I call you Lady Reyes?"

"Hahaha..." Imelda laughed heartily. Her demeanor was as lively as it was back then. She hugged Vivi and then went on to embrace the other girls, until she reached Pabi, at which point Imelda suddenly said, "Professor Garrick has been waiting for you for a long time; you’re the only one besides her who attended the reunion from Hufflepuff."

"Eh?" Pabi asked curiously, "What about the others? Why didn’t they come to the reunion?"

"Dead," Imelda straightforwardly said, "Some have lost contact, it’s been many years since we’ve heard from them."

"Oh..."

Pabi nodded, feeling somewhat sad.

She quickly perked up again.

"And the professor? Where is Professor Garrick?"

"She went out for a while, she’ll be back soon," Imelda replied. "Come in and sit down, don’t just stand here... You must be tired from riding the carriage for so long, come in and have something to moisten your throat."
