Chapter 2580: Identity Fraud.

The god of knowledge snorted and said, “Enough with the pretending. I know that you’re the god of seers.”

The god of history asked with a calm tone, “What do you mean?”

The god of knowledge replied, “I know that you can know nearly anything that happens because you’re the god of history. So speaking out in the open like this will be exposed to you if you’re paying attention to what I’m doing.”

“But the reason I asked the god of seers to come is because I know that you and her are one and the same. Not even pretending to be female can fool me.”

“I knew you would come because I knew that the two of you were one, so having her know about the meeting meant that you would surely know about it. The fact that you came so soon is not evidence that I’m right, but it suggests that I am right.”

What he said made the god of history pause for a short while. Then he sighed and said, “It seems nothing can hide from you.”

“I am honestly impressed. I thought I had hidden my tracks so well. How did you find out?”

The god of wisdom said, “I have my channels of information. One of those channels helps me to find your traces through your work with the god of creation and destruction.”

The god of history and seers clapped his hands and said, “Excellent. Truly excellent. It is truly wonderful that exposing your weakness like that helped you find me.”

The god of knowledge shook his head and said, “Don’t flatter me. What I did was simply fish for information. Its success was all due to chance and luck. It can’t compare to what you did.”

“You went to the past and stole the authority of the pathway of seers without me realizing. If not for the traces of the disappeared god of creation and the god of destruction, I wouldn’t have known that you were capable of such a thing. Then I wouldn’t have realized that you fooled the whole world into thinking that the pathway of seers always had a god.”

“But despite succeeding with your scheme, you still kept hiding, and you kept recruiting allies. You wanted the help of the god of creation and destruction and the help of other gods before you fought me. You wanted to take me down once and for all.”

As he spoke, the god of knowledge even clapped. He clapped because he was truly impressed with the plan of the god of history.

He said in a tone full of admiration, “I am truly impressed with your skill and your patience.”

He was being sincere, but to the god of history and seers, his words stung him. He didn’t like that most of his plans had been revealed.

So he snorted and said, “How impressive can it be if you already know about it?”

The god of knowledge replied, “It is impressive because I don’t think I can defeat you. I am only a high god in one pathway, while you’re already a high god of one pathway and still have another pathway as a source of divinity. Then there are all the helpers that you are recruiting.”

“After learning of all of these, I decided that the smart thing to do isn’t to risk my life fighting you but to join forces with you. That way, we will become better. So what do you think about my plan?”

The god of history and seers thought about the plan that the god of knowledge proposed from his perspective, not the perspective of the god of seers.

From his perspective, he won’t be at a disadvantage in the clash of minds because he is the god of two pathways and a high god in one. So while the fusion of monds is a bad idea for the god of seers, it is not a bad idea for the god of history and seers.

But he still had his concerns, so he said, “It is a good idea. If we can combine our talents, we might become unstoppable.”

“But you don’t have the ability to initiate the fusion of minds between us. We will need the god of telepathy to help us, but I doubt he will help us. And he might just tamper with our minds instead of helping us.”

The god of knowledge said confidently, “Don’t worry. I have a way to convince the god of telepathy to help us.”

The god of history sighed in relief and said, “That’s good to know. In that case, let’s go.”

The two of them came to an agreement. Then they went to find the god of telepathy.

They used the same method that the god of nobles used to make the god of telepathy know that they wanted to meet him. But this time, the god of knowledge knew for sure that the god of telepathy would learn of their intention immediately because he was sure that every telepath had already been subdued by the god of telepathy.

In fact, the unification of the minds of every telepath is one of the sources of inspiration for his plan to fuse his mind with that of the god of history and seers. His other source of inspiration for this idea is the success of the scheme of the god of crime and error.

Legion heard that the god of nobles and the god of knowledge wanted to meet them. They had a suspicion of what the god of nobles would want to meet them for, but they had no idea what the god of knowledge wanted to see them for.

The lack of an inkling of what the god of knowledge was up to made them more curious about the god of knowledge. So they decided to meet the god of knowledge first.

They didn’t meet with the two gods immediately because they were busy with something. They waited a while to fuse with the authority of the pathway of the undying before they met with him.
