Chapter 2579: Proposing Unity.

He sent his subordinates to meet with the telepaths and tell them that the god of nobles wanted to meet their gods.

After seeing some of the things that the god of telepathy is capable of, the god of nobles was sure that if he told a lot of telepaths that he wanted to meet, the god of telepathy would learn of it and meet him.

After doing this, he sighed and said, “I need all the help I can get.”

While he was trying to orchestrate a meeting between himself and the god of telepathy, the god of seers and the god of knowledge were also having a meeting.

The god of seers had taken the offer of the god of knowledge to meet. He wanted to hear the proposition that the god of knowledge said might interest him. But he didn’t come to the meeting with his true body.

The god of seers was very cautious. He only sent a subordinate god for the meeting, and he made sure that the meeting would be out in the open, not inside the white towers.

When the subordinate god arrived, the god of seers said impatiently, “So what is this proposition that you have for me?”

The god of knowledge said, “I think that we are running out of time to decide a winner. I also think that we are wasting our time by fighting.”

Before the god of seers could ask what he meant, he explained, “There are three of us vying for the pathway of knowledge, the pathway of history, and the pathway of seers. Two of us are high gods, while you are a normal god.”

“The three of us have been fighting each other for a while and will still continue to fight for a while longer. Meanwhile, the god of crime and error has acquired all three adjacent pathways and is on his way to acquire three more.”

“If we don’t find a winner to our struggle very soon, we will be at the mercy of someone like the god of crime. Even if he doesn’t come after us, we will certainly not have the strength to stop him from succeeding in his scheme.”

“To top things off, even if our fight ends and one of us becomes the ultimate victor, the best that the winner can have is to become the god of three pathways. That is a far cry from what the god of crime has achieved and is further diminutive compared to what he can still achieve.”

“In order to solve these problems, I have come up with a solution that can satisfy all three of us. This solution is for us to unite and become one.”

“I have a method that can fuse the minds of all three of us together. If successful, the three of us will fuse and become a completely new entity that is superior to any one of us.”

The god of seers was torn about what the god of knowledge said. She knew without asking that by using this method, she would die. But she also wanted to acquire great power like the god of crime and error.

Another silver lining is that the god of knowledge and the god of history will die with her, so one person won’t be the ultimate winner. She liked that all of them would be dying together.

But in order to be sure about her conjecture, she asked him about the method he had in mind. She had to promise not to tell anyone about it before he could tell her.

She didn’t mind swearing the oath, so she promised not to tell anyone about it. But she also asked him to swear on his authority to tell the truth. He swore and told her his method.

When she heard the method that the god of knowledge had in mind, she couldn’t help but become angry. She shouted at him and said, “What kind of bullshit plan is this? How did you expect me to accept it?”

Apparently, the method for the fusion of the mind involves the clash of the minds, and whoever wins the clash will become the dominant identity in the end result of the fusion. So the fusion won’t kill everyone else like she expected.

Not only will there be a final winner, but that winner can’t be her because her divine abilities can’t assist her in the clash of minds. It was more likely for the god of knowledge to win because his divine abilities can affect his mind and the minds of others.

So she said in anger, “I thought you were smart. Looks like I was wrong.”

After she said this, the subordinate god stormed off. This left the god of knowledge standing there alone.

The person he came to meet had left, but the god of knowledge didn’t leave. He stayed there waiting for something.

He didn’t wait for long. After a few seconds, another god appeared nearby.

This god was a phantom figure with a translucent body, which made it difficult to tell the identity of the god or even notice them. If not for the fact that he had been expecting this god, he might not have noticed their arrival.

Once he saw the god, the god of knowledge asked, “So what do you think about my plan?”

The god said, “Seer is so mistaken. She thought you were foolish to offer her such a ridiculous plan, but she didn’t know that the whole meeting was for me to hear.”

“You held this meeting out in the open, not to assure her of safety, but to let me know about it. You knew that I would find out about the meeting since you didn’t hide it, and you expected me to show up.”

Then he chuckled and said, “If only she knew how intelligent you truly are, she would know not to mess with you. She will also be able to understand why I hid away from you all along.”
