Chapter 2565: Asking For Help.

The highest priority of the god of illusion right now is living. Since half bread is better than none, he was willing to give up control of his body so that at least one of his souls would survive as a half god.

The virtual body had destroyed six outer bodies in a short amount of time, leaving three more. These three outer bodies separated from his body, transformed into avatars, and ran away from the true body.

The three avatars scattered in various directions, but even this failed because the virtual body used the Mental Domination divine ability to attack the three avatars while still attacking the virtual body.

This wasn’t the dream realm where their enemy had the home ground advantage and used a divine ability for escaping. This was the physical world where tricks couldn’t be made. Plus, they had their virtual body here, not just a copy of their mind made through the Mind Domination divine ability.

The god of illusion hadn’t used any special divine ability to help his avatars escape. He had only hoped that releasing three at a time would confuse Legion and let one of them escape. So all he achieved was making it easy for Legion to attack all three of them at once instead of destroying the three outer bodies one by one.

After the outer bodies were destroyed, the true body of the god of illusion was exposed. This meant that he was going to die soon.

The shadow of death chilled the heart of the god of illusion. He realized that he couldn’t hesitate anymore or he would die. So he removed the Invisibility divine ability on himself and exposed his unfavorable state to the world.

He had been hiding his situation from the world because of pride. He didn’t want his believers and his enemies to see his sorry state. But now that he had run out of options, he became even more desperate and stopped caring about pride.

Not only that, he shouted to everyone watching, “Help me. Save me quickly.”

“He is a high god and has already killed the god of dreams and acquired the authority of the pathway of dreams. If he kills me and acquires my authority, he will have all three authorities needed to become a supreme god.”

He isn’t sure about the claim that the god of telepathy has fused completely with his pathway and become a high god, but that is the only explanation he can come up with for why the god of telepathy was able to defeat a 12-soul god like him.

The gods listening to him didn’t doubt this claim that the god of telepathy was a high god. They found the claim to be reasonable.

They also didn’t doubt that the death of the god of illusion would give the god of telepathy all that he needed to become a supreme god. They don’t believe that the god of telepathy will actually become a supreme god, but they don’t want to give him the opportunity.

The god of illusion had belittled himself and cried for help like some common street whore being rapes in a back alley, but his plan worked. At the cost of his pride, he gained the help of all of the gods watching.

All the gods watching wanted to step forward to help the god of illusion, but they didn’t actually want to expose themselves. After all, they can save the god of illusion, but they still have their enemies and don’t have anyone to save them.

Only a few gods dared to show themselves. The god that appeared to save the god of illusion was the god of death. He appeared as a giant winged black serpent with golden feathers.

The god of death appeared because he couldn’t truly die. He appeared with his true body, not a clone or avatar. But even the death of his true body won’t be the end of him because one would have to venture into the underworld and destroy his phylactery.

So in a way, he is similar to the god of telepathy. To top things off, his main enemy, the god of life, can’t do anything to him because not only is he strong, but he also has the help of the god of nobles and the god of disasters.

All of these reasons are why the god of death felt confident in appearing. As for why he appeared to save the god of illusion in the first place, it is only because he doesn’t want the god of telepathy to gain all three authorities.

This sight made Legion sneer at themselves and say, “If we were like the god of guardians who is already controlling two authorities, will these riff rats dare to appear to stop us?”

They felt disdain for these gods because none of them had stood up to help the god of killing in order to stop the god of guardian from gaining the Ocean of Blood. But now they were jumping out to stop the god of telepathy.

This was happening because they lacked strength. If they were to fight the god of illusion, they would have no problem with it. But not only do they have to fight the god of death and the god of illusion, but there are also some other gods out there that will interfere if they gain the upper hand.

But Legion didn’t feel flustered by the circumstances. They were still confident of victory because they had prepared for something like this.

According to their plan, they instructed the virtual body to say to the god of death, “If you, the god of nobles, and the god of disaster help me get the authority of the pathway of illusion, I swear on my authority to help you kill the god of justice.”

The god of death, who was about to make a move on them, stopped when he heard what they said. Not only that, but the other gods, who had also relaxed and were prepared to watch a show, became restless when they heard what the virtual body said.
