GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

Chapter 2563: Don’t Want To Fight.

Chapter 2563: Don’t Want To Fight.

This turn of events angered the god of illusion. He roared at the virtual body, “Are you stupid? Or are you a masochist? Don’t you know that you stand no chance against me, or do you want to be defeated so badly?”

What made him truly angry was that the god of telepathy was fighting him for nothing. The only outcome of this fight will be that he will be weakened and become vulnerable to attacks from other gods.

If the two of them were alone, he wouldn’t mind defeating the god of telepathy for as long as it takes to drive the point home to the god of telepathy that he, the god of illusion, is just too powerful.

But they are obviously not alone. He, in particular, is surrounded by many gods that would love to take advantage of the situation.

However, he didn’t voice the true reason why he was angry. Instead of doing that and showing weakness to the bystanders, it was better to insult the god of telepathy to the entire world and hope that insults are enough to shame the god of telepathy into accepting defeat.

After insulting the god of telepathy, he used his ultimate attack move again. He combined the power of the Mirror of the World, the Painting divine ability, and the Permanent Illusion divine ability to attack the virtual body.

The attack move worked again. It wiped out the virtual body instantly. But it cost the god of illusion 79,360 units of divine energy, not 51,200 units like the first time. This was an increase of 55% in the cost.

The god of illusion won again, but he was not happy at all. However, he still shouted to the world, “As you can see, god of telepathy, one move is all I need to defeat.”

He shouted in order to announce his great victory to the world. After all, not many people can tell what’s actually going on. This is because the two fighters are invisible.

The mortals and all of the godclads from rank 1 to rank 9 can’t see the god of telepathy or the god of illusion. Even some gods can’t see the two of them. So if he doesn’t announce his victory in a grand manner, many would remain ignorant of his magnificent achievement.

But within his heart, he was worried. This was because the virtual body appeared to be stronger than before.

He thought to himself, “So he was hiding his strength. What a terrifying god of telepathy.”

But then he relaxed and said to himself, “But I still defeated him. No matter how good he is, I am still stronger, so everything is alright.”

Just as he said that, a new virtual body appeared and attacked him. It was the same move, but the effect was different this time.

The first virtual body had only managed to do slight damage to him, while the second virtual body had actually managed to do significant damage to him. Of course, the difference between the two virtual bodies is the difference between a damage of 1% and 5%.

The first virtual body had dealt a damage of 1% to his first outer body, while the second one had dealt a damage of 5%. The two of them combined had done a total of 6% damage. That kind of damage was not nearly enough to make him feel any threat.

But the third virtual body dealt 25% damage to his outer body. This was enough to make him feel threatened.

The god of illusion stopped being complacent after being injured like this. He quickly used his ultimate attack move.

The ultimate attack worked again. But it cost 123,008 units of divine energy, not 79,360 units like the second time. This was exactly a 55% increase in cost.

This made the god of telepathy frown to himself and say, “This can’t be a coincidence. A 55% increase each time? What is he doing?”

“Forget about what he is doing. But how can he still be so strong while being under the suppression of the Storytelling divine ability? Just how strong is he really?”

He still shouted to announce his victory and insult the god of telepathy. But as he did so, he called over the painted god of strength to help him.

However, just as the painted god of dreams left the battlefield, a virtual body descended and began attacking his painted creatures and his believers.

The worst part is that the virtual body descended far away from the god of strength, and it descended with a large number of virtual copies, too.

The god of illusion redirected the painted god of strength to fight the virtual body, but the large distance between them made it difficult for the painted god of strength to catch up to the virtual body.

What’s more, the virtual body was now always running away from the painted god of strength through the Mindscape. The virtual body kept its distance while killing believers of the god of illusion in droves.

The two of them were fighting all over the world. Most of their fight was unseen by the world because the fighters on both sides were invisible, but bystanders could see the painted god of strength and the repercussions of its clash with the virtual body.

From what the bystanders could see, they could tell that the painted god of strength was having a problem dealing with the invisible enemy that it was fighting.

But things were worse than that because the virtual copies were also flooding the city that the god of illusion was in and were attacking him. This put pressure on him like never before.

The god of illusion saw this and asked in anguish, “Why now? Why have you been hiding your strength and only decided to show it now?”

But he was still confident of his strength, so he said, “No matter. I’ll defeat you no matter how many you try.”
