Chapter 2534: 10 Souls And 100 Divinity.

One must be able to accommodate 100 units of divinity before they can fuse with a pathway completely. So they must have 10 souls to achieve it.

This requirement can be met using the aid of faith. But those who have ten souls don’t need faith to achieve it.

So, according to the information in the god of dreams’ mind, going after the god of knowledge won’t be as easy as subduing the god of dreams. They would have to become a bona fide god before they can make the attempt.

But they don’t need the god of knowledge anymore, so there is no need to worry about what kind of power they would need to subdue the god of knowledge. What they gained from the god of dreams was enough for them to plan how to gain access to the origin and become an Absolute.

The god of dreams was using every divine ability at his disposal to attack the copy in his mind. This copy does not have the Aegis Shield, so it isn’t immune to the dream attacks.

However, the copy was very powerful and resilient, so the dream attacks couldn’t repel it or subdue it. The dream attacks could only delay it.

While the copy was being delayed, the Offensive Adaptation divine ability was working to increase its effectiveness against the god of dreams, and the Mind Plague was destroying the mind of the god of dreams.

So it was just a matter of time for the mind of the god of dreams to fall. Legion-12 estimated that it would take 53 seconds. This was because the mind of the god of dreams was very large and resilient.

While he was waiting for the god of dreams to fall, he said to the seer standing by the side, “So what next? Do you want to fight?”

This subordinate seer had been standing outside the dream domain all along, so he saw everything that just happened. This is not a good thing for Legion.

In a normal situation, they would kill the witness to silence them. However, this is not a normal situation because killing the subordinate god won’t end the problem, since the god of seers must already know what has happened here.

A subordinate god is just one of the eyes, hands, and legs of a god. Cutting off one hand won’t mean much to the whole body. In fact, cutting off that one hand might make the body angry. This is something that Legion wants to avoid.

They don’t want to gain another enemy as a god. Especially since the enemy is someone that they won’t gain much benefit from killing. This is why Legion-12 decided to speak to the seer instead of taking action against him.

The seer in question is just a single large head. His body is a large circular head with many eyes attached to stalks all over his body. He has two arms and legs, but they are small in proportion to his body.

This is the divine body of seers. Despite being mostly a head, the seer is tall enough to match Legion in size. So he is a head that is ten meters tall.

The seer shook his head in reply to their question and said, “I don’t want to fight. But I have to be bribed to keep my mouth shut about what I just saw here.”

Legion-12 tilted his head sideways and said, “Didn’t you swear an oath with the god of dreams to keep this operation a secret?”

The seer nodded and said, “I did. I promised never to reveal the fact that the god of dreams is hunting the possessor of the Mind Palace. I also promised not to tell anyone about your existence.”

“But all of these oaths will only stand if the god of dreams is still alive and fulfills what he promised me. I have done my part of our deal. If he dies or fails to fulfill his own part of our deal, I would be free to tell anyone whatever I want.”

Legion-12 nodded and said, “You make a lot of sense. How about I make another deal with you? It is one that you will surely like.”

The seer said, “Something about your tone makes me think that I won’t like what you have to offer.”

Legion-12 smiled and said, “You’re astute.”

The seer pointed at his numerous eyes and said, “I have good eyes.”

Legion-12 stopped smiling suddenly and became solemn as he said, “How about this? You will keep your mouth shut, and I won’t hunt you down.”

The seer didn’t get offended by the offer. Instead, he yawned and said, “Called it. You don’t have a good offer for me.”

Legion-12 shook his head and said, “Any offer that doesn’t involve me not killing someone is a good offer for that person.”

Then he asked, “Are you going to take the deal or not?”

The seer replied with a question of his own, “Do you know that you’re speaking to a god right now, not just a subordinate god?”

Legion-12 replied, “So what if I’m speaking to a god? The fact that you have a god supporting you doesn’t mean you and your god can’t be reasonable.”

The seer sighed and said, “Power has gone to your head. The fact that you were able to defeat the god of dreams doesn’t mean that you are stronger than me. Not every god is the same.”
