Chapter 1662: Making the cave a home!

Chapter 1662: Making the cave a home!

From MC’s Perspective

While I was in deep thought, Patrick said something which piqued my interest immediately.

“Master, we can build our house inside the forest,” Patrick said.

“Yes, not only can we monitor others, but the others will not be able to find us in the forest,” Otto said.

Hearing their suggestions, I felt it was a good idea.

I nodded to them, and we started going towards the forest. We left the base and entered the sand path.

The path leading to the forest was narrow. The three of us started walking on foot. Otto was using magic to listen to the surroundings.

Patrick was using mental power to monitor the surroundings. If any wizards or magic creatures appeared, he would know.

On the other hand, I was using the system to search the area. I needed a suitable place to build a hideout.

A few minutes later,

[Ding! Warning!]

[A natural underground cave was detected.]

The system voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, my heart stirred. I was hoping to find a good location.

But I didn’t expect it to be such a good location. Then I turned towards both of them and told them to follow me.

Patrick and Otto exchanged looks. They thought the Master had found something.

Then we changed our direction and started going towards the natural cave. The path was uneven, so we used our flight ability to move towards the place.

A few minutes later,

We landed on the ground. My gaze fell on the place ahead. There was an opening leading underground, but the surface was filled with trees and dense vegetation.

Otto and Patrick found the cave as well. They were surprised.

“Master, how did you find out?” Otto asked.

“If the cave is unexplored, we could use it,” Patrick said.

“It’s a job for both of you guys. Start the work,” I said to them.

“Leave it to us,” Otto said.

Patrick nodded his head. Then they started working. They immediately cleared the path blocking the entrance.

Fortunately, the cave entrance was large enough for their bodies to get in, so they didn’t have any trouble. Both of them got inside a few minutes later.

A sharp glint flashed in my eyes. This place was still one of the forbidden areas. Since we couldn’t see the danger, it didn’t mean there wasn’t any danger here.

The next second, I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion.

Outside,

The Nocturnal Forest appeared to be calm. Suddenly, the trees and leaves in the area began to move. But there was no wind movement whatsoever.

In the Gregor Mansion, I was watching the scene on the control mirror. The hairs on my body stood up.

Then I asked the system. It confirmed that there was no threat outside.

After hearing the response, I was confused. I was sure that there was movement outside. I appeared outside the next moment.

My feet touched the ground. My gaze never left the trees and plants. They were still moving, but there was no wind whatsoever.

“There is no wind force here,” I uttered.

There was definitely something odd about the place. Maybe that’s why it was called one of the forbidden areas.

I realized I could get to see more abnormal places. Then I calmed down. The fear of the unknown was gone.

I was adapting to the new place.

Time went by,

Otto and Patrick cleared the entrance and one of the passages for the stay. There were other passages inside the cave going deeper underground.

But the size of the passages varied. They didn’t touch the other passages. They came out. It had been one hour since they went inside.

“Master, you can come inside,” Otto said.

“We can block the surface with tree branches and weeds,” Patrick said.

Hearing that, I nodded to them. Then I followed them into the underground cave. There was no illumination whatsoever.

But it was enough for them to live inside. The space inside the cave was good.

I continued to look around the cave. Patrick and Otto started taking out things and began arranging them.

I was using the system to double-check the cave. The system results said that the place was safe.

Then I turned towards them and said, “Make the place a fortress. I don’t want anyone to find out about this place.”

“Okay, Master,” Patrick said.

Otto said the same.

Next, I disappeared before their eyes and appeared inside the Gregor Mansion.

At this moment, both of them were stunned. Both of them had the same thought: that their Master possessed a spatial-type treasure.

They knew how hard it was to find a magic artifact. That too, a spatial magic artifact, was unimaginable for them.

But they saw their Master using it in front of them. Their hearts were stirred. They knew that the Master had many ways to silence them.

How could they forget the Red Scroll Artifact? They were still carrying the curse in their mana cores. Both of them collected their thoughts and started working.

Time went by,

Patrick had stored some old stuff inside his storage ring. He brought those things out and started arranging the place.

This included tables and chairs, a sleeping bed, magic lamps, and a few other things to decorate the place.

Otto was not idle either. His previous work involved collecting ores. He brought luminous ore from his collection.

The ores glowed in white, yellow, and red light. He started placing the ores in the gaps in the cave walls. Both of them were changing how the place looked.

Inside the Gregor Mansion, I watched their work. I was impressed. I didn’t expect them to carry household items with them.

It was helpful. Then I spent some time watching their activities before going to bed to rest.

Patrick and Otto started resting as well. They didn’t need sensors to alert them. Otto’s ears were enough to detect a threat from miles away.

Patrick had some tricks to find out threats in advance as well.
