Chapter 1652: A Big Meet-up

Silver Tower

Manager Lara collected her thoughts. She immediately thought of Vincent Carey’s friends.

They had all wanted to meet and spend time with him, but Vincent had gone to the Remote City at that time.

She picked up her device and informed Vincent Carey’s friends. It didn’t take long for the news to reach Susan Park, Wilfred Cox, and Jason Nicholson.

They were shocked to hear the news that Vincent Carey had returned.

They inquired for further information. They were even more shocked to learn that Vincent Carey had gone to the Remote City for an auction.

Lara didn’t explain further; she thought that information should remain confidential.

However, Jason Nicholson, Susan Park, and Wilfred Cox decided to meet Vincent Carey the next morning.

They realized that if they didn’t do something, Vincent Carey would be gone on another mission.

Lara decided to inform Vincent Carey, so she sent him a text message.

Meanwhile

Lord Erwin was not resting. Instead, he was on a call with Lord Charlotte, telling her what had happened in Falling Star City. The Sutton family’s scheme had come as a surprise.

What they were planning could only be known after the interrogation. Charlotte felt a headache coming on.

She was worried about Vincent Carey; he had many targets on his back.

The Wizard Doyle Family was already waiting for revenge.

Then there was the Black Tower and the Green Elemental Tower. Now, there was going to be the Sutton Family.

Lord Erwin didn’t stop there. He went on to speak about Vincent Carey’s idea: that Vincent wanted to become the new City Lord of the Remote City. Lord Charlotte was taken aback by the curveball.

Lord Erwin then explained the kid’s reasoning to her. But they didn’t have the power to make the ultimate decision.

All decisions had to be made by the elders. Charlotte was angry. She thought that Vincent Carey wasn’t thinking about his own life.

She decided to have a chat with him later because she thought Vincent Carey was still too naive.

The old monsters living in the Mage Union were not ordinary. The families behind them were too strong. They had come this far using various schemes.

If they decided to target Vincent Carey, he would become an easy target.

From MC’s Perspective

After taking a bath, I wore casual clothes and rested on the bed. Then, I received a message on my device.

After reading the message, I learned that three friends were waiting for me. I decided to see them before going to Mist Fall City tomorrow.

The following day

After getting out of bed, I went through my morning routine as usual. Then I decided to use the mana chamber.

I had yet to figure out the benefits of the outer space item. If the outer space item were to cause any disturbances, the mana chamber would block it, and no one would know.

Then I changed my clothes, putting on proper attire with a mage robe on top. I left the room and went to the mana chamber.

When I reached the chamber, I checked the place and found no one inside the facility. I found one of the available mana chamber rooms.

I opened the door and walked inside. The door behind me closed automatically.

I walked up to the switch and turned it on.

Buzz!

The next second, pure, rich mana started entering the room. In the blink of an eye, the pure, rich mana filled the entire room.

I walked to the middle and sat cross-legged on the ground. Then I closed my eyes and started practicing the mental method.

As I began to practice the Gravity Ark Mental Method, the gravity mana particles within the rich mana separated.

They started entering my body. I began to circulate the gravity mana through my body. After circulation, the gravity mana entered the mana core space.

The gravity mana was absorbed by the Sacred Gravity Mana Core inside the mana core space. The space was filled with golden runes, giving a sacred feeling to the mana core.

I continued to repeat the process.

Meanwhile

Susan Park, Wilfred Cox, and Jason Nicholson had come together to meet Vincent Carey. They were all official members now.

They didn’t have a sense of urgency or crisis anymore. They walked into the lobby in a relaxed mood and sat on the sofa, one by one.

Shortly afterwards, Manager Lara came to see them. She knew Vincent Carey was in the mana chamber room.

Upon noticing Manager Lara, Wilfred Cox said, “Don’t tell me he is using the mana chamber.”

Hearing that, Susan and Jason Nicholson raised their heads. They had the same idea.

Manager Lara smiled and said, “Yes, he has entered the mana chamber. It will take time for him to come out.”

Hearing that, they were not surprised.

Suddenly, Susan thought of something and asked, “Manager Lara, can you tell us why he went to the remote city?”

“And when did the things sold at the auction house become so important?” she added.

“I’m curious as well. What did he buy?” Wilfred asked.

Jason didn’t say anything, but he was interested in the answers as well.

Lara sighed inwardly. Last night, Charlotte had called and told her not to reveal anything about Falling Star City.

Something big had happened there which needed Forbidden Wizard Erwin’s intervention.

“I can’t say. It is confidential,” Lara said.

“What?” Susan blurted out in surprise.

She said, “Manager Lara, we are not Wizard Seeds anymore. We are official members right now. We have more privileges and protection. You can tell us now.”

Jason said, “If you don’t tell us, we have ways to learn the truth.”

Wilfred’s eyes flickered. He was known for collecting information. He had never missed a piece of important information.

He smiled and said, “You know my specialty. I can collect information whenever I want. You can share the news with us. We won’t tell anyone.”

Manager Lara never doubted Wilfred Cox’s ability, but she wouldn’t disobey Forbidden Wizard Charlotte’s words.
