Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Chapter 1651: Next phase!

Chapter 1651: Next phase!

From MC’s Perspective

Lord Erwin observed my reaction after giving his stern warning.

On the other hand, I fell into deep contemplation. Why did I feel like it would be a good thing to become the City Lord of an independent city?

Then, I thought of a counterargument. I didn’t have a background. That was why I wanted to create a force for myself.

Not only did I have the System and Gregor Mansion, but I also had the Red Scroll with me.

“Kid, what are you thinking?

“I’m warning you of a serious danger, yet you seem to be entertaining the idea,” Erwin said with a frustrated voice.

Hearing that, I replied, “Lord, you said that I don’t have a background. I feel I need backup. The wizards from the rival faction won’t stop targeting me anyway.

If the identity of the City Lord gives me an extra layer of protection, then I want that position.

After saying that, I noticed a change in his expression. Lord Erwin seemed to consider my point.

Then I thought of something and added, “Falling Star is a remote city without mana veins. I doubt anyone would offend our Silver Tower over that.”

This time, Lord Erwin had a genuine reaction

Erwin sighed inwardly. He realized that Vincent Carey was no longer just a wizard seed, but an official member of the Silver Tower and part of the Mage Union.

He also thought that Vincent’s point was logical.

He was also aware of the Elders’ attitude; they were dissatisfied with the continuous schemes of these people, so they had long wanted to catch them with evidence.

They could use Vincent Carey to catch these people. It was going to be one big operation.

If Vincent were to know his plan, he would be shocked to the core. Even Erwin wanted to beat down a few of the wizards.

He had gotten the opportunity to teach Edmund a lesson, but he was not happy because there were many people like Edmund in the Mage Union.

He then turned towards me and said, “Let’s go. We will discuss this with Lord Charlotte. Moreover, the decision is not in our hands. We have Elders above us. You already know Elder Dana. Maybe she can tell you whether your idea is right or wrong.”

Hearing that, I couldn’t argue further. He was right. Elders were above the Forbidden Wizards in the Magic Tower.

“Okay,” I replied.

Swoosh!

We resumed our journey. With Forbidden Wizard Erwin’s speed, it didn’t take long for us to reach the Magic City. I didn’t know how many cities we had crossed in such a short time.

It was not just absolute speed; I sensed spatial magic power as well. I believed it wouldn’t be long before I could use such power myself.

Swoosh!

Lord Erwin didn’t wait for the wizards at the border to stop us. We flew past them. The Magic Lord and the Supreme Wizards stationed at the border were taken aback. The Supreme Wizards were angry and clueless.

However, the face of the Magic Lord changed. He sensed the power of a Forbidden Wizard. Only a Forbidden Wizard could use subtle space power.

“It’s a Forbidden Wizard. Get back to your positions!” the Magic Lord reprimanded them.

Gasp!

The Supreme Wizards exclaimed. Their eyes were filled with fear. They had shown disrespect to a Forbidden Wizard.

Fortunately, the Forbidden Wizard didn’t pay any attention to them. Otherwise, they would have been turned into a blood mist.

A few minutes later

We crossed many satellite cities before reaching the Magic City. Only then did I feel somewhat relaxed.

In the blink of an eye, we reached the central plaza. Then, we crossed the place in a flash before appearing in front of the Silver Tower.

Both of us appeared suddenly. Forbidden Wizard Erwin used his badge, and the restrictions were lifted.

We walked inside the tower and arrived at the lobby. There was no one inside, but I was sure Manager Lara must have seen us from her office.

“Okay, you can go and take a rest inside. We will discuss this later,” Erwin said. He was about to walk past, but he suddenly remembered something.

He turned around and said, “Yes, one more thing. You can keep that outer space item for your own use. I think it must have been the reason for you to go there.”

Hearing that, I felt a huge burden disappear from my heart. Lord Erwin then went to his room.

I collected my thoughts and turned towards Manager Lara’s office. I didn’t know whether she would come out or not, but I thought it was important for me to call Patrick and Otto first.

They must be waiting for my call. I turned around and headed back to my room. After reaching the room, I walked inside and locked the door.

I used the System to scan the whole room. I wanted to check whether any alterations had been done, but the System results came back negative. I heaved a sigh of relief.

Then, I took the device out and called Patrick. Patrick answered the call.

The next second, I told him that I had returned to the Magic City and asked them to stay in Mist Fall City. I told them I would go and see them tomorrow or the day after.

Patrick had been listening from the beginning. He was glad that their Master, Vincent, was alright.

Otto, standing next to him, sighed in relief. His magic power was related to listening, so he was able to hear the conversation.

When the call ended, Patrick and Otto decided to stay where they were. Earlier, they had been worried about Master Vincent Carey.

They had heard about the fight between the Forbidden Wizards, and it had scared them. But they knew Master Vincent’s background.

Just as they had guessed, nothing happened to their Master in the end.

Meanwhile

Manager Lara was in her office as well. When she saw Forbidden Wizard Erwin and Vincent Carey returning, she sighed in relief.

Lord Charlotte had told her about the situation. She had been worried earlier, but now she could put her heart at ease.
