Inside the hotel room, my heart is beating faster. Leona Perry had shown her ill intentions towards me. It’s not going to be wise to stay here.

But if I go outside, the chances of encountering danger are higher. So I think it’s better to leave later. Until then, it’s safe to hide in the Gregor Mansion.

Then I swept my gaze across the room before walking up to the window door and opened it partly.

Swoosh!

Then I vanished from the spot and appeared in the Gregor Mansion. I entered the control room and sat in front of the control mirror to watch.

I believe that it won’t take long for someone to barge into my room.

Time passed.

Aaron Perry arrived at the Perry Hotel. Leona Perry was waiting for him outside the hotel room where Vincent Carey was staying.

After a quick call, he directly went to the hotel room. The hotel staff and people working behind the desk were shocked.

The senior managers were aware of his identity, so they were scared of him. They were wondering whether they had committed any crimes or not.

Aaron was walking without any hurry in the corridor. It was confirmed that Vincent Carey had never left his room. So even if he did something hereafter, he wouldn’t be able to escape under his eyes.

It came from his pure confidence. After a few walks, he saw Leona standing in front of the door. He walked up to her and asked, “What happened?”

“He is still in the room. But I didn’t use my mental power to check inside,” Leona said. She didn’t want to alert Vincent Carey.

But she had no idea that Vincent Carey was staying in the room.

Aaron Perry nodded his head in understanding. Now that he was here, he could take action directly.

Meanwhile,

Charon Perry, who came outside casually, saw that all the staff appeared to be paranoid. He couldn’t help but ask one of the staff.

The staff was taken aback seeing him, but he still answered his questions. Charon’s eyes flashed with surprise.

He did not expect Leona to spend nighttime in the hotel as well. What more? Elder Aaron had come. He didn’t know what was going on.

But thinking about his meeting with Leona earlier, he thought it was possible for her to invite him. Then there must be something going on.

Charon couldn’t help but feel a little angry. His family members were hiding things from him. Was it because of his incompetence?

Charon’s eyes turned cold. He heard from them the direction where Elder Aaron had gone, so he started heading there.

On the other hand, Aaron Perry decided to storm the room. Before that, he spread his mental power inside the room. It was a bit risky. He didn’t know what life-saving items Vincent Carey had.

Leona was watching from the sidelines with bated breath.

Aaron’s mental power spread across the room, including the toilet and kitchen. But there was no Vincent Carey. The bed was empty.

The windows were partly opened. Outside, Aaron’s face changed.

Boom!

He immediately destroyed the door with a casual hit from his palm.

Leona was shocked. She didn’t know what was going on. When the door broke open, they both went inside and saw that the room was actually empty.

“He is gone!”

“How is this possible?” she asked herself.

Aaron Perry heard her exclamation. He said without turning back, “He escaped through the window. I’m going outside to find him.”

After saying that, he left the room. He appeared on the balcony, then he used his flight ability to leave the hotel.

Leona touched her forehead in frustration. She couldn’t believe the other party had escaped through the window. But she was sure there had been no movement. Otherwise, she would have known.

Just as she was standing confused in the room, a person walked in with a look of bewilderment on his face. The person was none other than Charon Perry.

“What’s going on here?” he asked her.

Leona was equally surprised to see him. Then she thought that Charon hadn’t left the hotel like her. Vincent Carey had been here a few minutes ago. Charon had been here all along. If he knew what he had missed, he would probably get mad.

Leona shook her head before replying, “Nothing, it’s just a burglary.”

“Burglar?” Charon showed disdain on his face.

Now he confirmed with his own eyes that Leona was hiding something from him.

“Where is Elder Aaron?” he asked again.

Leona was shocked. Nobody knew about him except her. “Then wait! How did he find out?” she thought.

Charon smiled. He seemed to realize her confusion.

“I asked around at the reception area. Everyone saw him walking into the hotel,” Charon said.

Leona cursed. It was just bad timing. After calming her heart, she decided to tell him. Since Vincent Carey had escaped, there was no harm in telling him.

“Alright, I’ll tell you. Vincent Carey was here. I met him. He was supposed to spend the night here in this room. But after seeing me, he escaped through the window,” Leona said.

“What?” Charon blurted out in surprise.

“Vincent Carey?” He was shocked. He had told his men to keep an eye on him. But he was surprised to hear that nobody dared to stay in their family hotel. Did he not know it was the Perry Family’s hotel?

“So what’s going to happen now?” he asked.

Sigh!

“Elder Aaron went after him. But I doubt he will succeed. Vincent must have already contacted others for help,” Leona said.

Hearing that, Charon Perry was disappointed. If he had known earlier, he would have killed nobody himself.

Inside the Gregor Mansion, my mood was going up and down. First, I saw someone who appeared to be an elder from the Perry Family. I knew Leona Perry would contact someone from her family.

Then she entered as well. After looking around, everyone believed that I had escaped.

I thought everything was over. But I didn’t expect to see my target here. So Charon Perry was here with them. I was surprised to think that it was all coincidence.
