Chapter 1232 Part 2: Perry Family Descendants' meeting

From MC’s Perspective:

Meeting,

Leona Perry saw hesitation on Charon’s face. She felt something was wrong. Then she looked at him before asking, “Are you hiding anything?”

Charon immediately refuted by saying, “No, I’m not hiding anything. It’s just that I heard he went back to retreat. I don’t know when he will be back.”

Hearing that, Leona’s eyebrows eased down. She decided to talk about something else.

“Family Elders have asked us to operate low-key. They don’t want to attract the attention of Head Howard. Brother, I hope you won’t do anything,” she said in a solemn tone.

Charon smiled brightly and said, “Don’t worry, I have been minding my own business.”

“Good,” she said.

Then they spoke for a few more minutes before ending the meeting. Charon Perry walked out, but Leona stayed back. She decided to stay in the hotel at night and leave the next morning.

On the other hand, Charon’s mood was worse. He disliked being lectured by someone younger than him, even if the person was from his own family.

“Let’s spend time here tonight. I don’t think she will stay here,” Charon said to himself before going to the room.

Time passed.

In the room, I had been patiently waiting, but there was no reaction so far. I started to think that I should have leaked my whereabouts.

When it was past midnight, I exited the room and came to the hotel balcony to get fresh air. There was no one in the corridor apart from me.

Every other room was closed. I had to say that the Perry Hotel is a nice building. As I stood on the balcony, the windy airbrushed my face.

I closed my eyes and started to feel the wind.

A few minutes later,

I heard mild footsteps coming in my direction. I thought someone else with the same idea as me had come to experience the midnight breezy air.

“Vincent Carey!”

“What are you doing here?”

I heard a familiar voice behind me.

“Who?” Hearing that, I opened my eyes and turned around.

Then I saw the person who was none other than Leona Perry. The last person I had ever wanted to meet.

“Leona Perry,” I uttered in surprise.

Leona smiled, but she was confused inwardly. She was well aware of the hostility between Vincent Carey and the Perry Family.

To think this guy is staying here in their very own Family Hotel. She didn’t know what to say.

“If Charon learned about this, he would completely lose it,” she thought.

What if she took action? Her eyes flashed with a glint.

“I’m glad that you still recognized me. But what are you doing here?” she asked.

“Well, I have come to this Virez City for some business. I’ll be leaving tomorrow morning,” I said.

But in my heart, I gave an order to the system to monitor her condition. Even if she gave a faint killing intent, I would escape.

I was showing a positive attitude outwardly, but we were both well aware that I was spending the night in a hostile family’s hotel.

Leona frowned. She knew that Vincent Carey was someone who spent time in the Special Mage Department. He had no friends. The only thing that could force him outside was a mission.

But she saw no sense of urgency in the other party’s mind. She felt something was wrong and wanted to find out. More importantly, he was staying in their Perry Family Hotel.

Her eyes turned cold.

[Ding! Warning!]

[Change in target’s mood detected.]

[Host’s position is unfavorable.]

The system started warning me. After hearing that, I realized something. My presence here had irked her. She was probably doubting me right now.

“I’m going back to my room right now.” After saying that, I turned around to leave.

Leona stood like a statue in the same spot. Her mind was racing. She didn’t want to let go of this suitable opportunity.

Her gaze locked onto Vincent Carey. She saw him go until he opened the door and walked into the room. After confirming that Vincent Carey was indeed staying in the hotel,

Her lips bent gently. A good idea came to her mind.

She immediately contacted a known Family Elder to inform him. She was not going to make a decision regarding this matter.

The elder was none other than Aaron Perry, the council Elder from the Bloodline Beast Department.

Some time ago, the same elder Aaron Perry and Elder Milo from the Beast Taming Department had tried to deal with Vincent Carey. But their efforts ended in failure. Later, for some reason, they had stopped their actions.

Now, Leona was contacting him again. When the call was connected, Leona told him everything. This was a golden opportunity for them.

Vincent Carey was an important asset for the Special Mage Department and also an important target for their family. As an individual, he had ruined their decade-long plans by enrolling in the Special Mage Department using the quota.

They had been trying to deal with him, but there was no success so far. Now that the same person had come to the family hotel to stay, how could they miss this opportunity?

Aaron Perry was shocked to hear this news. No way would he think that Vincent Carey was spending the night in their Family Hotel.

Right now, he is in the Family. He told Leona to stay back and watch him. He was going to leave right away.

Leona ended the call, a bright smile on her face. On one hand, they had been trying to recruit Magic Palace Masters, and there had been no good results so far. The appearance of Vincent Carey here gave her relief.

As long as they could capture him, there would be plenty of ways to cause headaches for the Special Mage Department and Head Howard.

She then turned towards the hotel room where Vincent Carey had entered. She walked towards the room. When she arrived there, she stood in front of the room. She did nothing.

She didn’t want to alarm Vincent Carey. If he got alarmed, there was a possibility that he would seek help from Elder Paul Lin.
