Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Chapter 1234 Twists and turns

From MC’s Perspective:

Since Charon Perry is here in the building, I think it’s a good opportunity for me to target him. I don’t think there will be another good opportunity next time.

As clarity comes to my mind, I become more relaxed. It’s just that there is only one problem: I don’t know whether the Wizard called by Leona Perry will return.

And Leona herself can pose a threat to me. My eyes gleam with a twinkle. I’m hoping that everything goes my way.

So I started to wait.

Outside,

Leona and Charon are waiting for the Elder to return. They are anticipating whether Vincent Carey was caught or not.

Time passed.

Aaron Perry returned about 20 minutes later, but his expression was not good-looking. He was disappointed and pissed off.

He then saw Charon Perry next to Leona, which made his mood even worse. Charon Perry is known for his troublemaking. Not long ago, he had caused an incident as well.

That was when Aaron had to step in during the council meeting. Before anyone could ask what happened, Aaron decided to tell them.

“I have checked the surrounding vicinity, but there is no trace of that kid. I even went to the Teleportation Platform and asked the guards. They didn’t see him either,” Aaron said.

“They must be lying,” Charon interjected all of a sudden.

Hearing this, Leona shook her head. There is a possibility that someone has rescued him.

“I think someone has saved him,” Aaron said after some thought.

“I think the same as well. No one can save him except the Elder. It’s just that we missed a golden opportunity,” Leona said with a sigh.

“Why was he here in the first place?” Aaron asked, confused. He was still doubtful about why the kid picked the Perry Hotel in the first place.

“He told me that he is in Virez City for some business,” Leona uttered.

“Maybe he has come here to spy on me,” Charon said.

Hearing that, Aaron and Leona turned towards him.

“Don’t tell me you’re doing something behind the family’s back,” Aaron said.

Leona’s expression changed as well, but she had already asked the same question during the meeting. Charon had denied everything.

Charon realized his mistake. He was too enthusiastic in answering them but forgot about his facade.

Feeling the fiery gaze from both of them, Charon cursed himself inwardly.

“It’s nothing. I had sent a few people to monitor his movements. Maybe he found out about this,” Charon said with a smile.

“I knew it,” Aaron said.

“Maybe that’s why he picked the Perry Hotel. He could have wanted to learn about the Perry Family,” he added.

“I find it fishy. If Vincent had come here because of Charon, then he could have collected the details on campus itself. There is no need for him to come here, endangering his life,” Leona said.

“I think the people behind him are planning something. They must have asked him to do something,” she added further.

Charon’s eyes widened. He had given too much importance to himself and hadn’t thought from this angle.

“Recently, the Special Mage Department and the Intelligence Tower have grown closer. Head Howard seems to have a favorable opinion towards them,” Aaron said.

The more he thought about it, the more uneasy he felt.

“I’m going back to the family to report this. Are you guys coming back?” Aaron asked.

“No, I’ll leave tomorrow morning,” Leona replied.

“I’m going back to campus in the morning as well,” Charon said.

Aaron gave a deep look at Charon before leaving. He made a trip here for nothing. If he had known about this earlier, things would have gone differently.

When he was gone, Leona turned around and entered the room. She then checked the room once again to gather information.

Her eyes finally fell on the partly opened window. She couldn’t believe the other party escaped under her nose. It was a bit of humiliation. As a student of the Supreme Wizard, she should be able to do more.

After checking, she left the room and didn’t even spare a glance at Charon. On the other hand, Charon obviously noticed it.

It’s evident that her sister thinks of him as a troublemaker. But he wants to change that opinion as soon as possible.

He then walked into the room casually and began to speak to himself.

“Vincent Carey!”

“You are having a good time. Not only did you escape under the eyes of my sister, but you also saved your life from Elder Aaron.”

“It’s a pity that I can’t kill you.”

“But I’m going to stay in this very room. I hope you come back and fight against me.”

“I’ll end our fight once and for all.”

Charon had no idea that he was spilling the beans. Someone else was listening to his mumbling. That person was none other than Vincent Carey himself.

Charon gave away too much information in his self-trash talk.

Inside the Gregor Mansion, I’m smiling ear to ear. I came here with the sole motive of eliminating this person. After several twists and turns, he is going to stay in my room.

I don’t know how to express my happiness. From his conversation, I can guess that Leona Perry and the Elder named Aaron left the place. They are nowhere near the room.

Since he is going to spend the night here, I can kill him easily. But first, I have to make sure that Leona Perry won’t return.

More importantly, this could be an act planned by them. So it’s risky to do it immediately. I have decided to wait for an hour.

Time passed.

Charon Perry slowly fell asleep. He had no idea that his life was under threat. While he was asleep, Leona Perry made a return.

After seeing that Charon was in a deep sleep, she sighed inwardly. She had this sudden thought about what if Vincent Carey had returned. It was an absurd thought, but she still came to verify it.

Before leaving, she asked for a staff member to guard outside the room since the door was destroyed by them.
