Chapter 463: The Lightning Domain’s Greatest Humiliation
The Lightning Domain’s Greatest Humiliation
Gareth instantly struck out with his palm.
He was incredibly fast.
The distance between them vanished almost instantly.
One moment he was surrounded by lightning.
The next, he was already in front of Leon.
His palm carried enough force to shatter a mountain.
The surrounding lightning gathered around his arm, making the strike even more terrifying.
Yet Leon’s expression remained unchanged.
Compared to speed—
Leon did not seem to fear anyone.
A faint smile appeared on his lips.
"Hehe, old man, you seem to be very confident in your speed."
Gareth’s pupils contracted.
His palm was already approaching Leon’s chest.
Just as the strike was about to land—
Leon disappeared.
Not retreated.
Not blocked.
Disappeared.
Gareth’s palm swept through empty air.
His expression froze.
A faint light appeared in the darkness.
It was almost impossible to see clearly.
For a brief instant, a magnificent silhouette seemed to spread its wings behind Leon.
The image resembled the Sky Sovereign Golden Eagle.
Then the light vanished.
Leon was already outside the lightning domain.
He stood calmly beyond its boundary, his black hair settling behind his shoulders.
The lightning continued to roar between them.
Gareth stared.
His breathing stopped for half a beat.
"How... how is this possible?"
He looked at Leon in disbelief.
He could not understand what he had just witnessed.
Leon had entered his lightning domain.
Yet the domain had failed to suppress him.
Worse—
Leon had left it whenever he wanted.
His movements were so fast that even Gareth could not properly track them.
That was impossible.
This was his domain.
His battlefield.
His greatest advantage.
How could someone enter and leave it as casually as walking through an open door?
Gareth’s face slowly darkened.
He stared at Leon and finally demanded,
"How did you come and go freely in my domain?"
Leon looked at him.
For a moment, he seemed genuinely puzzled by the question.
Then he smiled.
"What’s so difficult about that?"
Gareth’s expression tightened.
"What do you mean?"
The surrounding cultivators were equally stunned.
They looked between Leon and Gareth.
Nobody understood what Leon was doing.
Then something changed.
Leon moved again.
His figure flashed.
In the next instant, he had entered the lightning domain once more.
The surrounding lightning immediately roared.
Thousands of bolts descended toward him.
Yet Leon stood calmly among them.
He looked toward Gareth and smiled.
"Yes, see, I came in again..."
Gareth’s face changed.
He did not hesitate.
His palm shot forward.
The lightning surrounding him exploded.
He attacked Leon again.
But just as his palm was about to connect—
Leon disappeared.
Again.
The next instant, his figure appeared outside the lightning domain.
He stood there unharmed.
His midnight robes fluttered gently in the aftermath of the lightning.
"Haha, I’m out again. You will never hit me..."
Leon smiled provocatively.
The smile was not particularly vicious.
That somehow made it worse.
Gareth’s face darkened completely.
His jaw tightened.
His fingers slowly curled into fists.
Damn, are you walking your dog?
That thought flashed through his mind.
He had never encountered such a ridiculous opponent.
His lightning domain was supposed to be an absolute battlefield.
Anyone who entered should have been forced to fight him directly.
Yet Leon kept entering.
Then leaving.
Entering again.
Leaving again.
As if Gareth’s terrifying domain were nothing more than a doorway.
Gareth’s pride began to burn.
He had lived for countless years.
He had fought countless powerful cultivators.
But nobody had ever treated his greatest technique like this.
And Leon clearly had no intention of stopping.
His figure flashed again.
A faint golden light appeared behind him.
The silhouette of the Sky Sovereign Golden Eagle spread its wings.
The void trembled.
Leon stepped into the lightning domain once more.
"I came in again..."
Before Gareth could react, the golden light flashed.
Leon had disappeared again.
"I’m out again..."
"What can you do to me?"
After toying with Gareth for so long, Leon finally spoke.
His tone was light.
Almost playful.
There was no arrogance in his expression, only a faint smile beneath his long, shoulder-length black hair. His purple eyes shimmered calmly beneath the dark clouds, while his midnight robes, embroidered with thin amethyst patterns, fluttered in the violent wind.
"I don’t have any special thoughts. I’m just playing..."
His words drifted through the battlefield.
For a moment, nobody knew how to respond.
Playing?
Everyone looked at the enormous lightning domain surrounding them.
Countless bolts of divine lightning were still roaring through the sky.
The air itself had been turned into a sea of destruction.
Yet Leon was treating it like a game.
That was what made it frightening.
Every time Leon entered the domain, Gareth would react immediately.
His eyes would sharpen.
His Mana would surge.
His body would move like lightning itself.
He would attempt to lock onto Leon’s position and seize the opportunity to strike.
But just as his hand was about to touch Leon...
Leon would disappear.
A faint ripple would spread through the air.
Then the young man would appear outside the lightning domain.
Gareth would turn around.
Before he could even understand what had happened, Leon would enter again.
And then disappear again.
Again.
And again.
No matter how hard Gareth tried, he couldn’t stop him.
He couldn’t even force Leon into a direct confrontation.
The lightning domain that had once been his greatest advantage had somehow become nothing more than a stage for Leon to toy around on.
Gareth’s breathing gradually became heavier.
His fingers tightened.
The veins on the back of his hand bulged.
For a powerful cultivator who had survived countless battles, this was an unbearable humiliation.
He had cultivated for countless years.
He had stood at the peak of the cultivation world.
He had once believed that after breaking free from the shackles of his past, he could finally stand proudly above everyone else.
Yet now...
A young man was entering his strongest domain whenever he pleased.
Leaving whenever he pleased.
And worst of all, Gareth couldn’t do a thing about it.
"Damn it!"
