God Level Necromancer: My Talent Multiplies All My Gains to 10000x
Chapter 71: The meeting is over
Arthur took out his phone and called Sofia.
The call was answered almost instantly.
"Big shot, what’s up?" Sofia asked.
"Arrange a meeting with the higher-ups in the government of Arvia before the international meeting. We need to discuss something first," Arthur said calmly.
Sofia was stunned for a moment, but then she nodded enthusiastically.
"Alright, big shot. I’ll arrange the meeting right away," she replied.
Soon, five cars left Miller State and headed toward the central government properties.
Although Aurora was one of the richest cities in the country, it was not the capital. Even so, the international meeting had been arranged to take place in Aurora City because of Darklord.
Thirty minutes later, they arrived in front of a government building.
Sofia and many soldiers were already waiting outside. As soon as the cars belonging to the Miller family came to a stop, everyone straightened their backs.
The world’s strongest player, Darklord, had come here personally to meet them.
They also knew how wealthy Arthur had become. He possessed numerous legendary-grade items and multiple shelters, and his influence was silently spreading farther and farther across the country.
The doors opened, and one by one, everyone stepped out.
Sebas exited the middle car and opened the rear door.
Slowly, Arthur stepped out, followed by Anastasia.
The moment he appeared, the entire atmosphere became heavy.
The military personnel could feel an invisible pressure overwhelming them. Arthur had intentionally released a portion of his aura so that everyone would take his words more seriously during the meeting.
Three generals were present alongside Sofia, as well as numerous commanders, captains, and soldiers.
"Salute!" Sofia’s voice rang out.
Immediately, all the soldiers raised their hands and gave a military salute.
Sofia stepped forward to receive them, her heart pounding with excitement. However, the moment she saw Anastasia’s peerless beauty, which was on par with her own, her smile faded slightly.
An intense feeling of jealousy rose within her heart, but she quickly suppressed it.
"Hello, Mr. Miller. It’s nice to meet you," Sofia said as she extended her hand.
Arthur casually shook her hand and gave her a polite nod.
The other two generals stepped forward as well and shook his hand after introducing themselves.
"Hello. I am Yujiro Hanma."
"Hello. I am Richard Zurek. It’s an honor to finally meet you."
"Hello, I am Arthur Miller. It’s nice to meet you, General Hanma and General Zurek," Arthur replied with a smile.
"Shall we go inside?" Sofia asked after finishing the introductions.
Arthur nodded, and soon everyone entered the building.
They went directly to the conference room, where a huge table occupied the center of the room. Numerous chairs surrounded it.
Those chairs were not empty.
They were filled with many of the country’s most important figures, including ministers, political leaders, and other senior officials.
"Why are we arranging a meeting before the international one? Are we trying to offend all the leaders of the world?" one minister asked with displeasure in his voice.
He had been enjoying his time with his fifth concubine when he was suddenly summoned to attend this meeting.
"Exactly. After inviting all of them, what is the meaning of this meeting?" another politician grumbled.
Suddenly, the door was opened with force.
The three generals of the country entered alongside an extremely handsome young man, followed by eleven other members of the Miller family and several military officers.
The entire room immediately fell silent when Sofia’s cold, beautiful eyes swept across everyone present.
There was a silent threat hidden within that gaze, as if she were saying,
Play along or die.
"Excuse me, ladies and gentlemen. This is Arthur Miller, the world’s strongest player. He has something he would like to discuss with all of you. Please pay attention," Sofia said in a light tone.
Boom!
"What? He is the strongest player in the world?"
"Isn’t the strongest player Darklord?"
"It can’t be..."
They immediately began putting the pieces together.
They were not fools.
The generals would never introduce some unknown person as Darklord. Doing so would only create unnecessary enemies for the entire country.
Everyone stood up instantly.
"Greetings, Darklord."
They bowed respectfully.
Arthur simply nodded.
"Sit down. We should begin the meeting. But where is the president?" Arthur asked.
"Um, he is currently hosting several foreign presidents, so he cannot make it here. I am the vice president. I can represent him," one woman said hurriedly.
"Alright. Then let’s begin."
Arthur walked over and sat in the main seat, the one reserved for the president of the country.
The vice president took the seat to his right.
However, no one thought there was anything wrong with it.
Arthur deserved to sit there.
The members of the Miller family sat down as well. Finally, Sofia, the other generals, and the remaining officers took their seats.
Everyone looked at Arthur with solemn expressions.
Although some of them still found it difficult to believe that Arthur was truly Darklord, the unimaginably majestic presence they had felt from Darklord inside the game was unmistakably real.
"I am going to tell you something heavy. Be prepared," Arthur said in a solemn tone.
...
One hour later, everyone present in the conference room was drenched in cold sweat.
Their faces were pale, and terror filled their eyes.
"Sir, are you absolutely certain this will happen? The game will actually merge with reality?" one politician asked.
"Yes. So be prepared for the worst," Arthur replied.
He looked around the room before continuing.
"And I want you to take the lead of the world in the upcoming era. I want you to establish a federation, a single unified government. Can you accomplish this using the information I have provided?"
"Sir, please don’t worry. We will definitely do it," the vice president said firmly.
"And, sir, what about the merfolks?" she asked hesitantly.
"Don’t worry. I’ll handle them. You focus on dealing with the world leaders while I deal with the merfolks," Arthur said confidently.
"Big shot, do you need our help?" Sofia asked with expectations.
"No need. I’ll leave right away."
Arthur stood up.
The meeting had ended, and there was no time to waste.
Arthur stood up, and the others followed suit. They needed to formulate a proper plan before the international meeting began.
As they were coming out of the building, Arthur glanced at Sofia.
"General Sofia, come with me," he said.
Instantly, Sofia’s dull mood brightened. It had darkened considerably after Arthur refused their offer of help.
"Right away!"
She immediately ran after him.
The others watched her sudden change in mood, their mouths twitching slightly.
She was way too obvious.
The twelve of them soon left the government building and walked toward the waiting cars.
"Big brother, do you know anything about these merfolks? How powerful are they?" Chris asked.
"As far as I know, they are extremely strong. Their leader should be as powerful as me. And once the game invades reality, they will become even stronger," Arthur replied solemnly.
"They possess their own cultivation methods and will be able to cultivate once mana spreads throughout the world."
Arthur’s expression became slightly serious.
"So, I guess they are an ancient race that was forgotten by time, or perhaps they were trapped somewhere and have only recently emerged for some reason. Even I want to know what that reason is."
Noah clenched his fist tightly.
"As powerful as you? Then humanity has no chance against them at this point," he muttered.
He had witnessed Arthur’s power firsthand.
What Noah did not know was that Arthur was referring to his true power.
The reality was therefore even grimmer than he imagined.
